Lol Australians love to shorten words. Maybe we should start a new thread? Different words around the world.
The west of Australia is two hours behind the east of Australia.
haha yes THAT could be an interesting thread.
As far as the east and west time thing, haha for a second I thought I was back on the "random facts" thread:)

Well, it's currently 7:15 A.M. here so "Good morning Rosemary!" (and everyone else.....)
I was just going through some older post I marked to go read posted before I joined here.
Rosemary it sure sounds like you have come a long way since Oct. 2017 when you posted: this clickable link
You truly are an inspiration!
Now I am TRYING to clean my kitchen. With a bunch of other people living here it makes it difficult sometimes!
I look at it this way: Since I'm the mama a majority of food selection falls on me. However, everyone is use to current diets. Now to the best of my knowledge none of us have food ALLERGIES. But that doesn't mean we may not have food SENSITIVITIES.
I'm beginning to realize that much of what I thought was just body acne all my life very well just may be my body becoming inflamed and reacting to dietary things.
I get so overwhelmed sometimes when trying to clean out the kitchen! Because once I get rid of junk it has to be replaced with SOMETHING. I don't always know what to replace things with...…..
It is a good time of year to do this though! Every spring/summer hubby goes through this phase of "my body is craving more salads and fresh foods"...….. so I think it's a good time to switch things up and get everyone on better track. I am fortunate with the kiddos too! They LOVE broccoli (although after a while we can get burn out on even healthy favorites) Another big hit around here is corn, (however I seem to recall reading somewhere that corn causes some of the same issues as wheat ...…......….)

I am also looking for alternative beverages to simply make at home. Water of course being the best, and again I am blessed fortunate mama b/c my kids do enjoy their water :D (and  as I type this I am ashamed to say there is a can of high fructose corn syrup, carbonated water, sugar infested :poop: by me)
Water doesn't always "quinch the thirst" for me. Or at least doesn't FEEL like it does. On the other hand, this can of :poop: makes that feeling go away, but does leave the rest of me feeling negative effects. I do enjoy lemon slices in the water sometimes, but need a little more variety. Everyone here is a fan of homemade sweet tea, but here we go with the sugar again...….. I'm wondering what it would be like to use something like "truvia" in place of regular sugar here. Like what would the measured swap amounts be?

Now I LOVE to be in my kitchen and baking is my strongest point there:cool: (Gotta admit I LOVE when we do end up out somewhere and the dessert comes by, because even though the kids devour stuff and "mmmm" over it they still stop and say " I like mommy's better!") So looking for healthy ways to remake favorites.

So Tourist is the grass stuff that grows edible then?
Not to sure about that but the answer is probably yes. Snipe off the fresh Chia greens and toss them in a salad. I'm trending towards ranch dressing but that's just me. :)

Ok cool ;)

I would probably add them to my juices for extra vitamins although they may taste overpowering.

Well I've never had a chia pet, but now maybe:unsure:
before eating it though you may want to watch this informative video (explains that yes you can/how/why but also about the seeds that come with the pet vs the seeds you buy in store for consumption.......)

Apparently, according to the video there are health benefits to eating the Chia seeds and greens. Regarding eating greens, we are going to have cooked spinach greens later to go with the fish. I'm gonna make my homemade tartar sauce to go with it. There will be lemons involved and possibly malt vinegar. Possibly fried sliced potato's also with Heinze ketchup. No, I don't make my own ketchup but would consider making my own mayo. I guess that I'm big on condiments. Mustard.

I have heard that seeds when sprouted increase the nutrition greatly over the seed alone.

That loaf looks scrumptious. Is that like a chocolate brownie? I used to drink Lipton tea, orange pekoe. My wife enjoys diet Snapple ice tea, various flavors but especially peach. Still thinking about that loaf but it could also be meatloaf. If so, that would not be all bad. I love meatloaf sandwiches with sliced tomato Country Crock margarine, and mayo.

Hi tourist...
I called it loaf because I made it in a loaf tin , but it is actually a sweet loaf , not savory...
I love herbal teas , I use them often , more so in winter...xox...
