Just wondering how old the disciples would have been when Jesus called them to follow him? And seems some were married but did they have children too? BIble doesnt really say..except we know Simon was married because his wifes mother had a fever which Jesus rebuked.

Am wondering if they were in their teens, or maybe early twenties. Two of them squabbled and their mother wanted them to sit next to Jesus. And many seemed to ask silly questions, and not really seem to grasp what Jesus was telling them, but that could have been they were just unlearned rather than immature. They might have been older than Jesus at the time he was 30, but who knows?

Does it really matter?

Everyone is running their own race designed specifically for them.

I came across a very good quote the other day. (I get daily quotes)
It was:
How old would you be, if you didn’t know how old you are? Satchel Paige

I like to believe that deep down, we are all children (Of God) at heart.

Interesting, many could have been in their teens, Mary was apparently only around 14-16 or so at Jesus birth, and also what comes to mind is how the disciples got a bit mad when children started following Jesus around, the disciples maybe werent that much older than the children themselves. Also to be a disciple is like being a student today. Not that there arent adult students but they would have been youngish.
It would be less likely they would up and leave their jobs and follow Jesus if they were older with families to feed.
