Where ever you sourced that quote it was from a lying source. Jesus actually said::
Matthew 19: KJV
16 "¶ And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? {17} And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
Jesus never said ""Don't call me good"" He asked the man why do you call me good.. Very different..
Jesus knew that the man did not know that Jesus was God.. The man had a very bad habit of calling other men like religious figures ""Good Master"" Jesus was teaching the crowd that people should not be calling other people good..
Now of course Jesus was Good but the man did not know Jesus was God but through He was another man like himself..

But we cannot pay for our sins mjkhan.. even if we sacrifice our own lives, our life is not perfect,, so it cannot pay for our sins against God..
Only a perfect sacrifice can pay for the sins of all men.. And that's what Jesus death on the cross did.. Because He is a sinless perfect sacrifice who went to the execution willingly to save us sinning people who cannot save ourselves..
