You are not perfect, you never will be while in the flesh.
I never said I was

I said GOD has considered or made me perfect IN CHRIST.

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

These are the words of scripture

At any given moment, we are in two states

Positionally in Christ, we are perfected forever (The words perfected is in the perfect tense, which in the greek means it is a completed action. This was accomplished for me at the cross. And attributed to me the moment I was saved)

Conditionally, I am in the state of “being sanctified” which means at any moment, God is working in my life to sanctify or set me apart, Because I have not yet met the state I am positionally in christ (I am a work in process)

The author of Hebrews state both of these FACTS are applicable to me at this very moment,

So I am not sure what your trying to argue here. Either you agree with these words of God or you do not.

Oh boy

You misrepresent him again

And get over yourself dude, We do not lose our minds over red x’s

Your false accusations are getting tiresome.
Just make your point scripturally.
The back and forth non issues are clutter.
No biblical full gospel believer can agree with you.
Tell John his deal in that vision was from the boggey man.
That is how the cessationist sounds to anyone going to those places.
God gave me visions also.
This forum would trample those visions i have seen.

I think people forget

This thread is not about tongues.

This thread is about the position that we are saved by baptism in water, and proof that we have been saved and recieved the spirit is found only if we speak in tongues.

So for all those tryign to defend tongues, in reality (you may not know it) this is what you are defending.

Again, Just so you know the PURPOSE of the OP

Wait for the coming of the Bridegroom, who never knew sin. Till then, watch, wait and worship Him in spirit and in truth.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us - Τον μη γνοντα ἁμαρτιαν, ὑπερ ἡμων ἁμαρτιαν εποιησεν· He made him who knew no sin, (who was innocent), a sin-offering for us. The word ἁμαρτια occurs here twice: in the first place it means sin, i.e. transgression and guilt; and of Christ it is said, He knew no sin, i.e. was innocent; for not to know sin is the same as to be conscious of innocence; so, nil conscire sibi, to be conscious of nothing against one’s self, is the same as nulla pallescere culpa, to be unimpeachable.

In the second place, it signifies a sin-offering, or sacrifice for sin, and answers to the חטאה chattaah and חטאת chattath of the Hebrew text; which signifies both sin and sin-offering in a great variety of places in the Pentateuch. The Septuagint translate the Hebrew word by ἁμαρτια in ninety-four places in Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers, where a sin-offering is meant; and where our version translates the word not sin, but an offering for sin.

Had our translators attended to their own method of translating the word in other places where it means the same as here, they would not have given this false view of a passage which has been made the foundation of a most blasphemous doctrine; viz. that our sins were imputed to Christ, and that he was a proper object of the indignation of Divine justice, because he was blackened with imputed sin; and some have proceeded so far in this blasphemous career as to say, that Christ may be considered as the greatest of sinners, because all the sins of mankind, or of the elect, as they say, were imputed to him, and reckoned as his own.

What a great idea.
If somehow John came and shared what Jesus told him not to write down.
What if God said to John "go back and share on the internet what i saved for the last days"

We all know who his opposition would be.

Wow,that is telling indeed.
Those that don't have that intimacy will not know if heaven,or the devil is talking.

"Ok if you came from heaven, show us where this message is in the bible"
Jn; "it ain't. Jesus saved it for this generation. I was forbidden while in heaven from writing it UNTIL NOW"

That is where the rubber meets the road.
Can you,in a non intimate, and rejection of pentecost power and intimacy, possibly hear heaven, even if John himself came with words beyond comprehension, priceless and precious to those with intimacy, already fellowshipping and talking to God everyday.
Its like you pick up jn hitchhiking, and right away you sense the Holy Ghost in huge power, and he turns to you in kindred joy ,both smiling, and he says without even a greeting "ever winder what the seven thunders said in revelation?"

Cessationist ;"get outta my car"

I am waiting

But as paul said in ephesians, I am just as saved now as I will be saved when that day happens.

If this is not true, I have no hope. If I have no hope. I have no faith. And I am waisting my time trying to grow in christ, Because I will fail utterly.

Once again, Those words are true, And As I showed. The word perfected is in the perfect tense, a completed action.

Either you agree, or you do not. But I will stick wiht the word as written..

I'm loathe to get in the middle of this thing, but I think a few things need to be said.

A good while back you said something along the lines to me of "I know you don't like me, so I don't care what you say". What I didn't like is that you indeed were constantly threatening people with some form of admin punishment, and worse, publicly. Some may have deserved it, but most just found themselves on an opposing side of an issue. Things get a little heated, and BAM!! The threat ensued. Not that it means much, but I actually DO like you. You have made me think in ways I may not have, and I thank you for that.

For whatever reason, you went away for a span. When you came back, for a long time, it looked like you were able to engage without the threats. That's when your thoughts really carried weight, and got interesting. Alas, it seems the old patterns have reemerged.

For instance, DC didn't call you a spade in the negative sense. He used a very common idiom. Not sure how you could have not known that.

Obviously just my own thoughts here, but it seems to me to be a little inappropriate for a mod, with ban powers to be so deeply engaged in such volatile topics. I don't see how a person can remain fair and unbiased. And that is nothing against you. I would feel the same whether a mod was on my side of an issue as well.
first off that is your opinion. second I will not talk to you about other members I have had issues with because you do not know all my interaction with the people you have named. Thirdly I have not banned any of those who you have mentioned. So you are wrong. I have not threatened anyone Yet I can tell you not one time have I ever posted in contrast to those with different Biblical understanding anything that was rude or confrontational they have done so first to others in the room. I should Just as you say it BAM! and see them gone. And in my comments (as you say) about not liking me, I would like to see that and where because there is more context than what you have provided. Also what I find very interesting is the underline digs that many do,

" Not sure how you could not known that" What do you mean?. Again I have not banned anyone and If as others like to do think as a Mod I cannot have a position? I have not called anyone devils or unsaved yet those very same people suggest and say that to a mod. I should say nothing and Bam just ban right? I respect you and I think I have said that however, I do find it funny that you would evaluate my actions yet I have not seen you speak to those who have insulted Pentecostals and Charismatics? I don't see you coming to the defense for those who are rudely attacked and named names unless it is one you may agree with. That is your opinion and I do not agree :)

Jesus said "my sheep hear/know my voice"
Knowing Jesus, fellowshipping with Him,spending time with Him,and walking in faith.
Ironically those with a mental, doctrinal MINDSET can not/will not, venture into intimacy with Jesus, and tirelessly plead with the wise virgins to stop that oil foolishness. It is the IRONY OF IRONIES.
Intimacy oil,and truth is reserved for the bride.
The bride has oil. The bride in mat 25 goes into the marrige chamber. The door is not left open. It is is immediately shut.
While the foolish scramble for oil (Holy Spirit) it becomes too late.

Get it now.

Get it,or get left out.

If you are afraid the devil will imitate Jesus and you can be deceived by this false Jesus and he can decieve you while you seek heaven, then you never read where Jesus takes the time to show you THAT CAN NOT HAPPEN.
Show me anyplace where that happened.
Show me paul or anyone in the NT laying hands on anyone to recieve the second blessing and the devil steps in,pushes God aside, and posseses that person.
Can't happen.
I know from experience.
See,you guys got an insurmountable problem.
You are trying to convince John.after patmos, that God dont do that vision or translation stuff anymore.
You forgot to answer the questions .

Is speaking in a unknow tongue" prophecy that come from God? If its a unknown how could be a feast? How would you know its not poison/ as a false doctrine seeing it remains unknown? If it was prophecy that came after John . Is it a private revelation like that of the Catholic mystics "for members eyes only"?

Is the answer unknown and you have no idea what the wonderment is that people say fills them weekly .Filled with mysticism?

We need to identify these unknowns before we can have a understanding as to what they are and what do they confirm . The unknowns were added by as someone's private interpretation in the first place .

1 Corinthians 14:4He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

1 Corinthians 14:13Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

1 Corinthians 14:14For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

1 Corinthians 14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

1 Corinthians 14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

Take away the unknows as private interpretation . It makes it easy to find out what the sign truly confirms Just exactly who God is mocking with stammering lips . No unknowns.to create mystery

1 Corinthians 14:4He that speaketh in an tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

1 Corinthians 14:13Wherefore let him that speaketh in an tongue pray that he may interpret.

1 Corinthians 14:14For if I pray in an tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

1 Corinthians 14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an tongue.

1 Corinthians 14:27 If any man speak in an tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.

Look. You, and the other mods have a tough, and mostly thankless job. I have found this site to be extremely good at discerning the difference between rough play, purposeful hurtful posts, and outright trolls. We all recognize we need to put on our big boy pants when we step into the BDF. But through all the turmoil there is growth in all sorts of ways. But that wasn't my point.

I think you are missing my point. It would be like playing a basketball game with a referee playing on the opposing team, with the power to eject a player, instead of monitoring the game as an unbiased official It's seems reasonable that the referee would recuse himself from being a referee if he wanted to actually play in the game.

I'm not gonna research back all the times I have seen you do similar posts to THIS: Post# 1228 "The next time you refer to me as Spade you will not be here. And that my friend is a fact. "
How this can be construed any other way than a mod threatening a member with expulsion is beyond me. And what does it matter what has transpired with this poster before? We hold grudges?

"Calling a spade a spade" has been a very familiar figure of speech forever, or at least as long as I can remember. You appeared to let your emotions call the shots. And that's fine, we ALL get passionate about stuff from time to time, but the difference is none of US are mods.

That was the only example I used because it was fresh. I didn't mention a single other poster.

Finally, it's mostly not my place to call out other members who have heated disputes with other members. That's why I wasn't crazy about doing it here. But I think there is the larger issue at stake as I outlined. There have been several bitter, broken, and sometimes very nasty people I either put on ignore or ignore in practice.

I hope you won't just have a kneejerk reaction to this. I truly meant it when I was happy to see you engage without the threats for so long.

Thank you,
however, as I said the issue I have had is with those who bully and attack those of the opposing view. For you, the term Spade is nothing yet to some it has another meaning just like gay is no longer gay. Case in point, the expression "to call a spade a spade." For almost half a millennium, the phrase has served as a demand to "tell it like it is." It is only in the past century that the phrase began to acquire a negative, racial overtone. origins of the expression to the Greek phrase "to call a fig a fig and a trough a trough." original Greek expression was very likely vulgar in nature and that the "figs" and "troughs" in question were double entendres. In the late 1920s during the Harlem Renaissance, "spade" began to evolve into code for a black person, according to Patricia T. O'Connor and Stewart Kellerman's bookOrigins of the Specious:

the term I well know and I know it as the latter. I am not saying the person said anything other than what I think he meant by I am not sure.

the other thing you may feel the ref has a bias, but until you are pulled out of the game you don't have a leg to stand on with the assertion. You say you are not going to research back, yet you make a claim I said something, as to "not like me" and that, is Ok?
You post a comment you say I said yet you cannot provide me where I said it? Then why would say something or interject a comment you said I said and cannot provide the context.? What does it matter? LOL so you can cast aspersions about what I have said and can't prove it and that does not matter? No not at a grudge. One more thing the topic of the thread do you agree with the gifts of the Holy is for today or you do not? I too don't want to go back and look for your past answers but I won't make assumptions about them.

I thought that video was rather informative.... truly inspiring how he wrapped it up with "this is normal"....

🙄
oK LOL SO THE VIDEO explains the 1cor 12 to 14 and the Book of Acts application of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and tongues and interpretation? That is not even something I agree with LOL Yes the video is not Biblical and it is an error of the uses of the gift.
