gender dysphoria or gender identity disorder.
I'm sorry but that is just politically incorrect and unacceptable you know.
These labels are no longer psychiatric disorders they are now human rights.
And these human rights need to be taught to very young children in our kindergartens and primary schools by cross-dressing
drag queens.

But who are we to judge anybody or cause an offence by challenging their agenda?
It would only be an expression of our hatred for them. No no no we can share the love of Jesus by cross-dressing also and joining
in on the book reading events at our local library during Book Week for youngies.
Tell them that Jesus had absolutely nothing to say about cross-dressing [even though The Law of Moses condemns it] but hey
here we are in the NT and it's all about love and tolerance.
Nothing to see here, move along please.

Those terms came directly from my Diagnostic and statistical manual and if you haven't figured it out by now I'm a recovery advocate that firmly believes the best way to treat these and similar problems is through a 12 step program with Jesus as the one and only higher power. Have you not heard of Celebrate Recovery? It's like a Christian version of AA.

If the wedding was not performed by a man of God or in the name of God how is it blasphemy?
A marriage is a sacrament, just like Holy Communion, that is what I believe. For me, marriage is instituted by God and should be done by a man of God and in the name of God. Pagan marriages should not be sought by Christians.

There is a limit to fellowship with unbelievers.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1 Corinthians 15:33 KJV

Fellowship with unbelievers is allowed for these conditions:

1. To save lost souls

And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Matthew 9:10‭, ‬12‭-‬13 KJV

2. To glorify God

If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:27‭, ‬31 KJV

Jesus example:

Jesus ate with the Pharisee but rebuked him at verse 40.

And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
Luke 7:36‭, ‬40‭-‬43 KJV

I don't think the Pharisee invited Jesus again after that. If you stand by the truth and when God sees that a person has no hope or whatever His reason is, God will eventually separate you from the world because fellowship with the world can influence you negatively. Going to a gay wedding is not glorifying God so it is acceptable to separate. If Jesus passed by and happened to catch you on what you were doing at the gay wedding, would you be fine? That's only between you and God.

Homosexuality is not contagious. We can't catch it. For some it is a choice for others, I believe, it is an involuntary lust.
Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

They're gone we live in a new world under a new covenant where love is the greatest gift of all. Fear no longer works but love never fails. We must show them love, like Christ showed us when we were worldly sinners.
If we love them we will tell them, tell them to flee the wrath that is soon to come upon all sinners and ungodly. We were all sinners, but all need to come to the light. Saying "Repent" is not saying "I hate you" or "I judge you."

All church weddings, never been to any other.
My first wedding was a private ceremony in her house before a fire place, the second was in a Nazarene church and my last was a private ceremony in our room at the Hilton. The first was officiated by a Presbyterian minister, the second by a Nazarene minister and my last by a SDA minister. There will not be a fourth wedding. I'm all set in that regard. I have been to quite a few weddings, about 1/2 in a church setting and the others in a private setting. It's all the same to me. You are either married in the eyes of God or you're not.

The debate becomes

Magenta: Christians make too much noise about it, Jesus never mention homosexuality

Undergrace: Jesus never mentioned homosexuality, but that seems irrelevant

Magenta: let me repeat my point, Christians make too much noise

And repeat
What exactly is a Christian anyways? To me, a Christian is one who is born again and strives to be more like Christ. Truthfully, by this standard I have met very few Christians. I had good Muslim friend years ago that was more Christ-like than most professed Christians I had met at that time. I do agree with you in your point that Christians make much noise and not all of it is a joyful noise to the Lord either. There are exceptionss to this, including the Christian members in our CC community.

I already said that Christians make an inordinate amount of noise concerning something Jesus said nothing about while He walked this world, and it seems completely disproportionate to me. In fact I suspect that homosexuals get singled out because it is the one and only sin that most Christians will not themselves commit. Somehow that allows them to give themselves permission to condemn homosexuals as if they were justified to stand in judgement of non-believers even though Paul said we have no business doing such. I heard a woman at a meeting recently saying that she, for a time, thought that if she forgave someone for behavior she found unacceptable, that it meant she condoned that behavior. Thankfully she came to realize the error of her ways. She is a ninety year old, who was celebrating 45 years of continuous sobriety, one day at a time. She hangs out with drunks and drug addicts who are in the thick of their disease, because she knows she can help them, if and when they become willing to listen.
Jesus has been known to hang out with drunks and drug addicts too. If you want to cure the sick then you must go where the sick people are. Your spiritual percepts are inspiring as well as refreshing. I thank God that there are people like you in the world.

You certainly have a lot of love in your heart for those that are shunned and disenfranchised. God bless you for the ministry you faithfully perform despite the criticism you often received.

I was a partially disabled Air Force Veteran Going through a divorce when I was saved through reading the word before I even went to a Christian church. I didn't believe in hell then. So if some started preaching fire and brimstone I would have told them to buzz off. It was the love of Christ that I wanted and he helped me mend my ways. I joined the winning side. The first ministry I joined was the Long Beach Rescue Mission. I considered it Christian boot camp. and I read the New Testament 3x in 1 month between chores like washing clothes for the homeless and cleaning the showers 2x a day, making beds etc.

After that Melodyland Christian Center suicide prevention Hot Line, Set Free Prison Ministries and the Substance Abuse Foundation. I'm in transition now to another ministry if the Lord is willing to help combat the opioid/fentanyl epidemic.

I'm too disabled with arthritis to take it to the streets any more but dope fiends, prostitutes, drunks and psychos are my fields of expertise. All I need is a room some helpers, lights, a coffee pot and a sponsor. I'll be good to go. It's all in the works right now in fact. 1 day at a time. Next stop, Vancouver, B.C.
Your next stop is quite intriguing.

That is the issue ... do we love him for who he is or shun him for how he lives? He grew up Christian, and other than sexual orientation lives up to Christian standards better than anyone else I know. But I don't know if he really is Christian. And that alone provides a fork in the road in scripture. We are to love and welcome the sinner, but yeah like it was said above, a brother who has been shown correction and does not accept it is to be shunned. That would be the catch-22 of it all.

Are you perfect in every way? There is no sin that you struggle with? Should your nephew shun you for your sin?

We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. Does your nephew know your feelings about the gay issue? I'm sure he probably does. My theory is that we are to love people the way God loves.

I have a good friend that is gay. He knows I don't really agree with his life style but I love him and respect him as I have and struggle with sin also just not the gay issue.

Let him without sin cast the first stone. We are all deficient in one way or another but we are to love and respect each other and plant seeds and show and live by example the way Christ loves us.

If shunning were the norm then God wouldn't have bothered to save us. But instead of shunning us He sent His Son to come and live among us and save us from our sins.....

Jesus was among sinners all the time and criticized for it. We need to stop being self righteous and start loving and leading people to Jesus.

I agree with you.

Sometimes I’m thinking that a good number of people see all things in black and/or white. You either interpret Scripture like they do, or else you’re working with satan.

Why is it like that?

We can’t waggle (sorry Waggles😜) our way around the ugly fact that many of our Christian sisters and brothers are reading Scripture in a protected environment, where one certain interpretation is the only acceptable way of understanding the Holy Bible. This is the sectarian way.

More often than not this is leading to an extremely literal way of reading the Bible, which is contributing in our failure to acknowledge what Jesus taught us.

The Bible is alive and should be treated as such and be brought out by us to everyone.
