The debate becomes

Magenta: Christians make too much noise about it, Jesus never mention homosexuality

Undergrace: Jesus never mentioned homosexuality, but that seems irrelevant

Magenta: let me repeat my point, Christians make too much noise

And repeat
Don't forget that I have repeatedly stated that we have no business judging those outside the church, and that we are called to love others, not condemn them :) I also made the point that forgiving others for behavior we find unacceptable does not equate to condoning that behavior ;)

Mr Calibob I need to wash my hair LOL .... but did you know that when you have sex with someone you are married to them in God's eyes.

Perhaps we should, perhaps this world would be in a lot better shape when we finally stand up and stop conforming to the ways of the world.

We are under grace but the world is not, and we do the world no favours when we act like them.
I was a partially disabled Air Force Veteran Going through a divorce when I was saved through reading the word before I even went to a Christian church. I didn't believe in hell then. So if some started preaching fire and brimstone I would have told them to buzz off. It was the love of Christ that I wanted and he helped me mend my ways. I joined the winning side. The first ministry I joined was the Long Beach Rescue Mission. I considered it Christian boot camp. and I read the New Testament 3x in 1 month between chores like washing clothes for the homeless and cleaning the showers 2x a day, making beds etc.

After that Melodyland Christian Center suicide prevention Hot Line, Set Free Prison Ministries and the Substance Abuse Foundation. I'm in transition now to another ministry if the Lord is willing to help combat the opioid/fentanyl epidemic.

I'm too disabled with arthritis to take it to the streets any more but dope fiends, prostitutes, drunks and psychos are my fields of expertise. All I need is a room some helpers, lights, a coffee pot and a sponsor. I'll be good to go. It's all in the works right now in fact. 1 day at a time. Next stop, Vancouver, B.C.

Seems there's always a personal story behind a decision to support a sinner in their sins if we are associated somehow. Here's my personal story~Earlier I went outside just before dark, after thunderstorms had passed. I looked up to see a beautiful rainbow, and my immediate thought was how the homosexuals have stolen that beautiful symbol that was given by our Creator as His promise never to destroy the world by flood again. Why'd they do that? To mock God, that's why. I wondered, "how much longer LORD?"

I read on this thread I must forgive the homosexual. How is it my place to do that? They are not sinning against me, they are sinning against the Most High. Confused Christians have asserted their beliefs and desires here above what the Almighty says. The Bible is not silent on this matter.

The rainbow symbol, before the gays borrowed it, also stood for multi racial adoptions and Josephine Baker's 'Rainbow tribe'. The Roy Rogers and Dale Evans ranch. That's what I remember. Something beautiful. Besides what are the first two commands that Jesus gave us? Luke 10:27 - And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

I'm not familiar with Baker or the Rogers/Evans' ranch, but I do see the homosexual use of the rainbow frequently/ ad nauseum. As far as loving my neighbor...if I bumped my head and somehow became a lesbo, I would hope to God that someone who claimed to care for me and knew the truth would proclaim it loudly!! that I was in a grievous sin against my Almighty Father. What good would holding their nose and acting as if nothing was wrong, what good would that do me? Why make our loved ones who are in direct opposition to the Almighty, feel comfortable and perfectly alright with us? It seems hypocritical to me.

Another possibility, when nephew have wedding, plan a same day of wedding, then you can join the right wedding and no one will accuse you of being unloving to the wrong wedding:unsure:

I think you said it. You were talking about a lady who used to be a drinker....could be wrong, but I think you said it.

I said no such thing. God hates lying lips. Liars are going to be be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Is that what I should tell you? According to you, it seems to be. It should be proclaimed to you loudly, you said.

I said I could be wrong...however, it does seem to me that's what you are saying here. otherwise, why use the example.??
I already said that Christians make an inordinate amount of noise concerning something Jesus said nothing about while He walked this world, and it seems completely disproportionate to me. In fact I suspect that homosexuals get singled out because it is the one and only sin that most Christians will not themselves commit. Somehow that allows them to give themselves permission to condemn homosexuals as if they were justified to stand in judgement of non-believers even though Paul said we have no business doing such. I heard a woman at a meeting recently saying that she, for a time, thought that if she forgave someone for behavior she found unacceptable, that it meant she condoned that behavior. Thankfully she came to realize the error of her ways. She is a ninety year old, who was celebrating 45 years of continuous sobriety, one day at a time. She hangs out with drunks and drug addicts who are in the thick of their disease, because she knows she can help them, if and when they become willing to listen.

I would introduce you to the 12 steps for sexual addiction and strongly suggest that you accept Jesus as your higher power.

@Karraster Celebrate Recovery has a christian 12 step program the is designed for recovery from sexual addictions. Here's the first paragraph;>

For most people, their sexual lives and choices are manageable. But for some of us, what started out as exploration, love or a means to feel better turned out to be something that began to control us. We found ourselves in situations where it felt as if we could no longer control our choices.

That's what I would share with you. You can probably find a local group at a church in your own town. Check online;

@Karraster
CR sexual addiction self evaluation;
Consider some of these questions to see if sex has moved from being a healthy part of your life to a destructive obsession:

  1. Do you go from one relationship to another?
  2. Do you feel the right relationship would fulfill all your needs?
  3. Do you use sex as an escape?
  4. Do you make excuses to leave your partner as soon as possible after the act?
  5. After a sexual experience do you feel guilty?
  6. Has your pursuit of sex interfered with your relationship with your spouse?
  7. Do you find you are unable to resist a sexual overture?
  8. Have you ever sought out help to change your sexual behavior or thinking? Have you ever wanted to?
  9. Have you ever tried to limit or stop acting out but been unable to?
  10. Do you put yourself or others in dangerous situations in pursuit of sex?
  11. Have you found that you are unable to resist sex or sexual images?
  12. Do you have trouble concentrating or completing tasks at work because you are always thinking about sex?
  13. Do you spend time on the internet viewing pornographic websites?
  14. Do you you find yourself obsessively trying to find the “best picture” to end with?
  15. Do you take time away from work to pursue sexual activities?
  16. Do you feel you have lost control of your actions to the need of sex?
  17. Have you every pursued adult venues or services when away from home alone?
  18. Do you instinctively spot and remember the location of adult venues when driving with friends or family and secretly begin to plan to return?
  19. Do you feel you have lost control of your actions to the need of sex?
  20. Have you ever been arrested for a sex offense?
  21. Have you taken risks to health and reputation for sex?
  22. Is your sexual life characterized by secrecy and shame?
  23. Do find yourself drawn to fantasy about co-workers and other acquaintances planning what it would be like to be in an intimate relationship with them?
What is your score?

There is no “right number” that says you are a sex addict. However if several of these questions ring true, you might consider exploring this area of recovery by contacting the Celebrate Recovery group nearest to you.

Recovery Steps & Principles

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program with foundations firmly established in Biblical truth. The 12-Steps with accompanying Scriptures and the 8 Principles based on the Beatitudes offer a clear path of salvation and discipleship; bringing hope, freedom, sobriety, healing, and the opportunity to give back one day at a time through our one and only true Higher Power, Jesus Christ.

The 12-Steps and the 8 Principles work seamlessly together, tying historical recovery to timeless Biblical teaching.

The road to recovery based on the Beatitudes.

Realize I’m not God; I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and that my life is unmanageable. (Step 1)
“Happy are those who know that they are spiritually poor.” Matthew 5:3a TEV
Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him and that He has the power to help me recover. (Step 2)
“Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 TEV, NIV
Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control. (Step 3)
“Happy are the meek.” Matthew 5:5a TEV
Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust. (Steps 4 & 5)
“Happy are the pure in heart.” Matthew 5:8a TEV
Voluntarily submit to any and all changes God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects. (Steps 6 & 7)
“Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires” Matthew 5:6a TEV
Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others when possible, except when to do so would harm them or others. (Steps 8 & 9)
“Happy are the merciful.” Matthew 5:7a TEV; “Happy are the peacemakers” Matthew 5:9 TEV
Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will. (Steps 10 & 11)
Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and my words. (Step 12)
“Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.” Matthew 5:10 TEV

How's that?

It was a hypothetical statement as in what if? This is my response regarding what and how I witness and share with some one who has sexual addiction, gender dysphoria or gender identity disorder. I wouldn't try to shame them. I'd guide them with love to seek help the best way I know how.
