Indeed. And he possesses an impeccable knowledge of and recall of the Scripture to boot. I must have listened to at least 1000 hours of MacArthur's sermons. Just listening tonight in the car. Yet another excellent broadcast. Get the phone app works great.

I have been listening to Alister Begg for a few months.....but I notice I really missed MacArthur lol.
Alistair begg is another sound teacher , he also is very funny...xox...

Absolutely ...the foundation is the true gospel and from there God will reveal much to each one of us, as long as we are open, seeking with a humble heart.

I will admit to having been influenced by those who promote a feeble gospel (I no longer even want to type his name) that teach you need to get holy and prove your status in Christ, I prefer the mighty gospel that declares in Christ you are holy,

... and my patience is limited because they are damaging the spiritual church each and every day by having people strive for what is already available in Christ Jesus
OH you know I flat despise any and all dogma that devalues Christ, elevates self and that contradicts the power, promises and work of Christ on our behalf.......HATE IT

13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you
alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,
14 having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed
to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.
15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing
over them by the cross.
16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival,
a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.
17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Col 2

13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to
stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind,
be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Eph 6

We are workers for the Kingdom, because Christ dwells in our hearts, to that we might bring
glory to His name, not because we purchase our place, but because He has given us our place.

Those who walk in evil, dismiss sin as nothing, claim we are just lost in the ways of the world,
miss the true power of Jesus and cross, love expressed through sacrifice and hardship.

23 we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
1 Cor 1

27 And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14

Jesus calls us to follow Him. If you succeed you will find everything else will fall into place.
This is repenting of sin, purifying ones heart, speaking the truth, praying in private, supporting
others when it cannot be seen, and desiring the best for all.

Only those who have never walked this path oppose it, and by their stand declare their loyalty, to their
sinful lives and rebellion against Gods ways.

Is it devaluing of Christ to say the gospel brings us into the Kingdom and changes us,
or to believe God cannot change us, and any mention that we need to follow and obey
is earning our right, rather than the fulfilment of our birth right?

John wrote his letter to declare love and victory are our eternal privilege, something we
are born into, but which we have to put into action.

The very lack of action declares simply we have not yet met God or know His redeeming
power in our lives.

I am quite convinced Satan actually belives that he is not a sinner either.
Likely the same goes for the other fallen angels.

But to the point and despite that conjecture, any son or daughter of Adam supposing or presuming that he or she does not sin and is not a sinner is heresy of the first order.

Confessing such a thing openly would be grounds for excommunication.
I thought about this for a bit "the bolded" and was not sure if I agreed or not and this morning I was looking at it and thinking you could be right.......and the reason I say this is because the underlying flaw that led to Satan lifting himself up was PRIDE.....and the majority of time PRIDE will not allow one to admit error or fault......just something to ponder

If I focus too much on sin, I will fall, yet if I'm not vigilant, I will fall <-- everyone have this common struggle, dilemma during their spiritual warfare, but both have a common denominator

Unwittingly doing exactly what Satan wants: focus on self, and problems

The right response: focus on Jesus instead

Which is why, the less we worry and fret about the dilemma, the less influence it has

Don't worry about feeling too unworthy, Jesus said "it is finished"
PUT your eyes on JESUS.....quit focusing on sin......simple as

something to add to your pondering queue:

This is the way of an adulterous woman:
She eats and wipes her mouth, and says, "I have done no wrong."

Do you know how many times I have told @theanointedwinner this....I hope he listens to you, maybe you have more crediblity ...you know, an man to man thing :D
Keep telling him.
One day it will sink in.
We all need to keep sowing.
One day it will be harvested.
We may not be the person who witnessed the breakthrough but it will happen.

It took years and the love of many people for it to sink in, even though I knew the truth it hadn't settled in my heart, even though I taught the truth.

As brothers and sisters we are called to build each other up, strive with each other and love each other.

By this the world will know.

Do you hate those who teach OBEDIENCE TO GOD as part of salvation or do you hate that teaching which you call a false DOGMA?

NIV1984 Isaiah 5:20-24
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent. Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.

NIV1984 1 John 2:3-6
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

NIV1984 2 John 1:6-11
And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

Did our Lord Jesus Christ obeyed God and suffered to set an example that we should follow in His steps? Isn't He the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him?

NIV1984 Hebrews 5:8-9
Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, ONCE MADE PERFECT, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.

NIV1984 1 Peter 2:20-21
But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

NIV1984 Philippians 1:29
For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him,

Would you suffer for Christ by following His example of OBEDIENCE TO GOD by His sufferings which made Him PERFECT?

NIV1984 Matthew 19:21
Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

NIV1984 Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

"No deceiver would ever teach obedience to God and no true Christian would ever teach DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD."

Thank you for sharing this :) ....I hope so!!!!

I so so want people to be set free, and in Liberty, not looking at themselves to see if they measure up and then being sadly disappointed and feeling condemned ..... that is a feeble gospel

I forget sometimes that what seems easy to us can be obscure for another ...but all in good time :)

Amen brother.

Focus on Jesus.
Focusing on sin takes our eyes of Jesus and what he has nailed to the cross.
Sin management does not work.

Focus on Jesus then we will sin less because we know he loves us enough to have died for our sin and send us the helper, the Holy Spirit to help us.

Sin management is what we can do for Jesus to earn love and acceptance.
And that leads to a very sad walk with Jesus.

Yet we already have it, love and acceptance.

No need to strive to be but because we are.
