For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:14‭-‬19 ESV

Isn't that so potent, so victoriously triumphant? Oh to be filled with the fullness of God, by being rooted and grounded in love through faith in Christ. This kind of heart knowledge is so remarkably scrumptious for our souls. I am so very grateful; you are too, huh?

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.

This posting is so poetic and harmonious to the soul.
that is why the O/T is relevant even today, a lot of
wisdom comes from it. some ignore that part of the
bible but in my view is a mistake. We don't want to
live there but we should visit there often.

How does having spiritual benefits and privilege from God overcome the sinful reflex of the flesh?

Only He can satisfy any question. My answer is almost always...we need more Jesus. We always need more of Him. Praise God for the Lord of Hosts.

Doesn't "having spiritual benefits" come when we are focused on Christ first, and not what we can get from Him? We are to be His hands and feet here, He indwells us, we are not our own, when we do as He would do we exalt Him, that is our purpose and how we glorify Him, while we are in our bodies.

Absolutely, He is the best thing for our hearts desire. We are most blessed with Him, trusting Him.

if I'm reliant on situation triggered inspiration, what possible use can I think of for situation triggered inspiration

especially from subjective experience or from the subconscious mind

and this might be a clue to what my purpose or my true self might be like

it is situation triggered. It is a God thing, an unchanging situation for the believer
