Not that this is a new thought, but the truth of it really struck me.
What we say is POWERFUL; we should make sure what we are saying reflects Christ.
I was asked to take part in interviewing for new teaching positions that opened in our school district. It's been an interesting experience, but I was amazed at one thing... after interviewing a very nervous young lady, the others were listing many negative things that honestly had nothing to do with her ability to teach, I stated a positive and everyone in the room changed the tone of what they were saying.
We offered her a position. It was an unsettling/surreal moment and I feel the Lord was showing me that what we say has an impact, a bigger one than we may realize. (I was also thinking, wow, the people I work with are very wishy washy, BUT I think that can be said for many people in the world right now.)
