Matthew 17.20: So Jesus said to them, "... if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you"

why is this not happening to us? (Not necessary to move a mountain, but anything similar to that which is not usual)
Dont we have faith as a mustered seed?
How can we validate our faith?

If all moved a mountain there would be no more mountain chains. Actually God did move a mountain, after a fashion, just for me once, it was Long's Peak in Colorado. Ye it is still there bu it was moved one night for me.

*mustard* not "mustered". :)

GOD validates our faith. Without Him, we are nothing and can do nothing.

Blue already caught this spelling error... perhaps next time just spell the word as it is in the quoted verse. :)

"Mustered" is the past tense of "muster" as in "to prepare for battle".

Or a "Muster Point" when a building has to be evacuated for whatever reason. That's where you will find *mustered seeds*.

I think when we preach Christ the seed, the gospel and if Christ causes the growth it is happening.

That parable using the things seen to give us the understanding starts with a query. "If".

A mustard seed has no faith not even a little just as a froward generation of Adam describing natural unconverted man (Deuteronomy 32:20 ).

If we have the spiritual seed of Christ we would be able to move the kingdoms of this world as mountains, to the kingdoms of God in the new order .

I would think if we would compare the spiritual understanding of one parable we would compare it to the same of another.

Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Yes, garee has a point about a prophetic mountain is actually a government. That said, you also have a point that the Christian Church as a whole is not where it should be spiritually. That should tell us that somewhere in history, Satan has perverted God's word and paralyzed the Church.

Nothing happens by accident. It has been prophesied that the son of perdition would lead the church into apostasy. We are, on this forum, finding our way back to God's truths. This was also prophesied (see Daniel 12:4).

Amen

Judgment begins in the church or did at one time. (1961) lol Make me think of another query found in Luke 18 .When he does come on the last day will he find faith that could move mountains.? or as in the days of Noah (no faith) walking after the personal experiences from out of the body .Like with the Son of Man Jesus in Mathew 4 . Jesus replied again and again as it is written . The word it representing the faith that came from hearing the father .It worked in Jesus to both will and perform the will of the father not seen .

Again and again the father puts the words on the mouth of his Son. "It is written"

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Will he find the two witnesses (to the law and the prophets sola scriptura) dead made to no effect by the oral traditions of men?

We must defend the faith of Christ that comes from hearing God. It defends us .Put on the whole armor and keep it on

I make sense of the mustard seed verse in this manner:

In your darkest hour, when 99.9% of everything you think to be evidence as to why you are finished and want to give up, if there is just that 0.1% of faith that still believes God has not abandoned you, and you don’t want to quit, THEN and only then can the slow steady climb back up become possible.

The mustard seed can take root and begin to grow with proper maintenance and care.

The little mystery word "faith" must first and foremost be understood. It would seem many translate faith as being born with some, a little, a scrap?

I would agree . If a mustard seed had faith that could move mountains, Which it does not and therefore cannot move mountains .If a mustard seed had faith that could rebuke the wind and draw fish into a net

Matthew 8:26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

That kind of faith is the faith of Christ the incorruptible seed. We like the disciples have little . Previously like a mustard seed none. .

Faith to hear is the gift. It the seed of faith needed to believe is not of our own self again as the generation called evil of Adam

Naturally mankind have nothing when it comes to faith, not little, none.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Matthew 14:31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Matthew 16:8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

Why not reason through the source of faith that defends us?

Luke 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

This is a complete misreading of the text.

The reference to a mustard seed is not saying "faith like that of a mustard seed", but, "faith the size of a mustard seed"; i.e., very small. This is made clear in Mark 4:31, where the relative size of the seed is noted.

IMO when JESUS said "oh he of little faith" HE was talking about men have only their ability to believe with one or more of their 5 senses to believe

And I agree with what you said about faith the size of a mustard seed.If we can choose to believe JESUS will do the rest.
