I find the assertion offensive. And she is clearly unbiblical and foolish in what she is saying in the video. And then use the video to attack all who speak in tongues is ridiculous.

Mark 16. Jesus our Lord is the authority in context to the Baptism of Holy Spirit as we know Jesus from what John the Baptist said in the gospel of John Jesus is the baptizer in the Holy Spirit. this thread has been taken way off course and your intention is to put people who do not hold to your beliefs on the defensive

the thing is, you present nothing we probably do not already know and will not dissuade anyone already filled with the Holy Spirit to listen to you and turn from the biblical record

therefore, your only hope, in your presentations, is to veer those who have not experienced the infilling, to be turned away

you have no experience or research of your own but just go about youtube hoping to find some lurid evidence of what you believe

I have actually researched the roots of these movements and it is far more complicated then most would bother to understand

so, constantly telling everyone the sky is falling is obviously not working, but it seems to satisfy something in you that will not allow even scripture to speak for itself

I have actually researched the roots of these movements and it is far more complicated then most would bother to understand.

Rather than look the roots of these movements. look to the foundation, as it is written in respect to the doctrine of tongues. It point to the work of the spirt in Acts 3 . It clearly informs us of what the sign confirms. Then the rest of the doctrine will fall into place .

If we have no idea what tongues are, as another manner of prophecy, as a mocking tool to those who make His tradition of Tongues with out effect by their oral tradition of men .How could we come to a agreement?

I say we begin in Isaiah 28 the root of the doctrine. ?

Big difference it would seem between eternal spiritual not seen gifts, and literal as that seen the temporal gift that the eyes feast on

Who hopes for something they already have again, again, again and again as a way of keeping full. It would seem to reflect those in Hebrew 6 . Crucified Christ again and again Better things accompany salvation. He inform us he will not forget the good works we offer towards his name as the witness that confirms we have heard the gospel .Why some need a outside witness as their reward (show and tell) it remains a mystery .

Well perhaps you can tell me exactly what are these languages? Are they angelic, are they earthly?
As far as I know there are two realities that we know about, the temporal and the spiritual.

It is hard to overstate just how huge and influential both Bethel Church, and Bethel music are. The number, and seriousness of heresies coming from this Church is staggering. It is important to understand that ALL of these big name Charismatic Churches are interconnected. They speak at each others Churches and conferences, they extol one another, and NONE of them call out the heresies of the others.
There are MORE, but these are some of the big names you've probably heard of, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, Paula White, Rod Parsley, Todd White, T.D. Jakes, Jesse Duplantis, and although they may not come right out and say it like this woman, they all believe the Holy Spirit is like the Big Blue Genie in Aladdin.

I'd once again urge you to watch this Documentary, which is more about the correct Gospel than anything else, but does an awesome job of exposing the prosperity gospel, and how America is exporting this garbage to poor nations around the World:

That was one of the most incoherent statements, non-contextual, and meaningless sayings I have heard thus far.

When a Spirit filled person prays in the Holy Spirit that is praying in tongues this is angelic.
When a Pentecostal Christian speaks forth in tongues at a meeting this is an unknown tongue. It may be archaic; it may be angelic,
or it may on occasion be another earthly tongue for new person who has come into the congregation.
But the gift of diversity of tongues is always followed by the gift of interpretation.

I would not explain to you something that was already explained to you. Mark chapter 16 Jesus speaks says "17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; "


Shall speak = laleō which means Verb : to utter a voice or emit a sound

New = kainos which means: recently made, fresh, recent, unused, unworn

Tongues=glōssa which means: Language or Dialect

The context did not change in Acts 2 or any other records in the Book of Acts.

1cor chapter 12 to 14 is clear the Holy Spirit is the one imparting the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The work of the Holy Spirit is not temporal in the believer. HE abides with HIM or HER as Jesus said HE would in John chapter 14 and 15. The gifts are also not temporal because the Holy Spirit is God who changes not.

That is why Jesus said in Mark 16:17 and in Matthew 28:19-20 Luke 24:49 and John 20:22
