Well a Bible verse came to my attention if you doubt something you eat its a sin as it does not come from faith (paraphrasing) Well the games I play the movies and shows I watch I constantly have minor doubts even when I am firm that there fine doubt will creep in. Sooo can I not do anything? I doubt my own thoughts and actions too and the things I say I am a compulsive worrier with severe OCD what makes it worse is sites like CBN when I read an article by them on something I know about such as video games and card games I immediately know they have no clue what the heck there are talking about and alot of there claims are rather bizzare on things like that
Still it causes me to question doubt and torment myself. I know there is a line and I knew what was for me a year ago but now its starting to fade and honestly when im trying to relax from my constant anxiety and boarderline phsychosis I cant even relax with a book not even the Bible since the doubts hit me there too whether it be accurate translation or others. And no I posted this in the singles thread because im NOT using the bdt

OCD, no doubt, makes this much harder for you to discern. You must know that posting here may not clear things up as you will have opposing views on this.
Despite not having OCD (but I can have perfectionist tendencies) I have dealt with similar issues. I never really came to a clear answer. I did try to consider the aspects I deal with that may be influencing my understanding. Depression, anxiety and perfectionism can all taint and skew your view (or OCD in your case), so keeping any such things in mind and adjusting your decision with that knowledge can help.
I do feel that modern Christian's get too caught up in entertainment too often, including "Christian entertainment". Perhaps take a little more time to do other things with more depth may help balance things out. Pick a day where you spend a bit of time, I don't know, feeding homeless at a shelter. Volunteer at church. Whatever sort of things suit you.
I don't really know what all you do already, maybe it's already a lot, in which case ignore what I said Haha.
Just remember works should come as an outpouring of what exists, not a requirement that you feel you're forced to live up to.

I've read over your post a few times and I have such a desire to be able to give you some helpful advice, but it's just not coming, so I will be praying for you. I pray the Lord take your doubts and turn them into direction.

It's so hard to know what the right thing is sometimes. I think that living in times like these it's important to remember that God doesn't call us to be perfect. He loves us and has called us as we are. If you can, try not to worry to much about what you are doing, but rather just be. God knows your heart. He will show you when something needs to be changed. Lean on Him for strength.

Ah, yes, that is another issue that can skew judgment.
All you, and really anyone, can do is to do your best at making a right decision and being balanced. Avoid extremes. Then trust that even if you sometimes choose badly God sees your heart and desire to do right and will honor that above the rest.

I would be interested to hear what he means by that too.
BTW Brandon, if you are open, I can suggest certain supplements and also some dietary plans that will help lessen the impact of the autism. Maybe even dramatically so.

Okay, PM me when you get some time. It involves certain supplements and a somewhat radical diet. I don't sell the supplements nor have any financial connection with the companies that sell them. I am not making money on them, just so you know. Just trying to help you out here.
