So you are saying you are okay with enticing someone?

You can have confidence without intentionally leading someone astray. You can know that you look good and cover that up and save it for your future spouse. How excited would she be to discover your attractive secret that you kept just for her even when you didnt know her.

LOL. Not change your clothes everyday this happens but like I said if you notice a pattern of behavior based off of things you may be doing to initiate this reaction, maybe you should change your mind or attitude about how you aree attracting people and your motives behind it.

After your mind is changed then your actions will follow. That may mean getting new clothes.

I am not saying that you specifically need to change your wardrobe, just be mindful of the type of attention you attract, why you attract it, and why you like or dislike it.

In other words examine yor motives and the results. Actions will automatically follow because hearts and minds are changed.

But I mean, telling a woman she should dress far more conservatively to get rid of unwanted attention is kind of like saying "Wrap the large noticeable gold statue in plastic, no one will look for it."

Just because it's not on display doesn't mean that people don't want it. Even if you're wearing a top and pants that covers EVERYTHING, unless you have a very awkward sense of fashion, it's still going to show off curves. For guys or girls.

Obviously a girl shouldn't be flashing her goodies everywhere, but it should be the man's responsibility not to let her entice him. And vise versa. An idea like blaming someone for the negative attention their physical appearance gets them is the reason they had burkas in Muslim countries. So the woman could be modest.

What I am trying to say is that you need to have some sort of standard. Evryones opinion about what modesty is may be a little different. But you have to draw a line somewhere.

I think I posted somewhere else before about skirt length something along the lines of, that because we have different views on modesty you have to let your nay be your nay and yay be yay. One woman might say showing ankles is too revealing, another above knees another is ok with mid thigh, and there are of coourse those who have no problem with showing off skin from the buttox region.

Examine your motives. What are you trying to achieve by dressing that way? If you are getting alot of unwanted attention is it something you are causing?

There is no perfect dress from stoping anyone from looking at you.

Example - My little bro works out alot and has humongous arms, no matter what he wears you can see his bulging biceps. I am not suggesting that he buy 5x shirts to cover them. But just because he feels that he looks good does not mean that he has to wear muscle shirts to show off his body to everyone. I think that is vanity. Which is not good in the eyes of the Lord.

.

I beg to differ.

For this issue, allow us to regard 1 Corinthians 10:31:

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

Let me ask you some questions:

1. Is God, through Paul, saying we should glorify God only when we eat or drink?

A: No; it says "or whatever you do"; clearly meaning "in everything we do"

2. Does putting on clothes count as one of the things in "everything"? That is, does dressing count as one of the ways we can attempt to Glorify God, or is it the exception to the rule?

A: There is no exception; dressing/putting on clothes counts as "in everything".

3. Whenever we do anything, what should be our main objective when doing it?

A: "do it all for the Glory of God"
God tells us that our objective, in everything, should be to glorify God. He's not some guy you chat to only once or twice a day; if You are in a relationship with Him, you should constantly be trying to Glorify Him.

4. Logically, what should you be attempting to do when dressing for the day?

A: We should attempt to glorify God when we dress for the day.

5. If you are aware that dressing in certain ways encourages others to sin, I have to ask you; is your prime motivation, when encouraging others to sin, glorifying God?

A: Obviously your prime motivation, if you are encouraging others to sin, is not to glorify God.

6. If you are not attempting to glorify God, are you being a faithful servant?

You can answer the last question.

I hope this has helped others realize that dressing in a certain way may not be outright sinful; but not glorifying God (when told to) is certainly sinful.

Don't forgot; a sin isn't some statement that God says we "shouldn't do". The Ten Commandments doesn't mean there are only ten sins; a sin is a disobeying of the Word of God.

Instead, dress in a way that doesn't encourage others to sin, but instead glorifies God. He is worthy of all praise!

Did you read all of my above posts? I am saying nearly exactly what you are saying. I only added that there will always be some perv who finds the most modest thing enticing. Thats what I meant by "no perfect dress from stopping anyone from looking at you." There are some weirdos out there.

I like conservative dress.

NOTE: I don't dress this way. I probably will in the future if things go how I would like them to.

i think that these people have the right idea just maybe a little bit extreme. Women do have to work hard at covering up but i should think that if they want to find a man that respects them, they would take the effort.

p.s. and i think they are cute too :)

yeah i think they are. lol but aren't they cute all smiling like that?

No I have not, I don't like movies that have swearing in the title lol. is it sorta like Children of the Corn? Scary movies are not my thing alone lol

Damned isn't a swear word.. lol it's in the Bible and it literally means like "damned" like by the Devil.

And yes it is a horror movie, but it's considered a classic haha

i know of NO verse in the bible that says "damned" and classic scary movies are always the scariest! have you ever seen the movies by Frank Perretti (sorry i do not know how to spell that lol)
