I'm not much of a science person, or anything like that. I'll be honest, I just kinda skimmed through this thread because it really is a topic that makes my head spin and I have had ENOUGH head spinning this morning with my kids. However, one thing I have not noticed pointed out here is this:

Our time frame and His are not the same, which leads me to believe that NO MATTER WHAT is ever carbon dated, dug up, "scientifically proven" etc etc etc......... only God knows how old or young the universe and everything in it is and that to spend our lifetime in debates over it is useless.

If the six days are symbolic, then Exodus 20v11 would make no sense. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
At the end of each day in the creation account it says there was morning and evening. God tells us in plain language, simple and uncomplicated.
These aren't points of argument, but in Genesis it is always mentioned as "evening and morning" rather than "morning and evening". Evening precedes morning. As I see it currently, in the cycles of creation, the period without the thing happens before the manifestation of the thing.
And there is no mention of evening and morning on the seventh day. My current assumption is that it's because God's rest is eternal, as He is eternal, and He simply "entered into his rest" as he encourages us to do in Hebrews. So feel free to seek God for his understanding on those topics. And feel free to share what he shows you.

Morning and evening simply mean the end of one phase/era and the beginning of another time period. The length of a 'day' can be anything from a few hours or until the end of an age.

actually light does not travel it appears and the appearance of light depends on the source of light, so the stars u see in the night sky are as u see them now.

A star 6000 light years away, simply means it takes traveling the speed of light 6000 years to reach that destination. It is distance away.
Since this thread is about Creation, don't you find it interesting that Evolution is a Religion, it takes a heap of faith the believe that Nothing exploded.
