Some religions are very complicated, but Christianity is really very, very simple.
Many people don't even call it a religion, they just call it a relationship.
It is true that the Bible is a very large book. It is big enough that you will never run out of wonderful things to read about God, His ways, and His people, but getting started is easy....

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
In the beginning, God made Adam and Eve and everything was wonderful and nice.... until Adam sinned. He messed EVERTHING up, REALLY bad. Only God could fix it. John 3 tells us how He did it...
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
The name of God's Son is Jesus. Jesus is the light of the world. Jesus came down from Heaven and died on the cross to pay the price for our sin. Would you like to come to Him now, just the way you are. That's the way He wants you to come. It's an all or nothing thing. You must surrender all to Him, but it all belongs to Him anyway. Best part is; HE LOVES YOU. Just get on your knees and talk to Him now.
