COMPLETELY unsubstantiated of course. But we don't even have to talk about the unsubstantiation, of the claim. If you think the Holy Spirit operates by throwing babies against a wall and kicking them off a stage, you are as deceived as I feared.

And it will judge you.. Because the word does not say what you claim it does.

You believe we are in essence saved because of water baptism (recieve remission of sin) which is a gospel of works and not by grace

Well there is NO proof he actually DID anything! That's just the point. No verified healing. But these people USE the baby incident, and other physical attacks on people, AS A GOOD THING!!! But you only have to google wigglesworth throws baby, or Wigglesworth punches cancer victim to dig into just how sick this cult has become.

no you do not feel sorry for me

you have had it in for me ever since your big fight with a mod where I agreed with the mod

after that you started threatening me. it's not a secret

if you don't forgive... the mod or anyone else, you will be judged on that according to scripture

don't try to teach others when you ignore one of the most fundamental teachings of Christianity

as it is, I am genuine in saying I forgive you

I don't know for sure EG. This all happened years ago. But, I do know from the rumors....they were healed.

The one I read about was his own wife. This was in the book I have here. His wife had died and he wouldn't let her go. He kept picking her up and making her stand against the wall until she came back to life. The last time she passed, she told him to let her go.

I would have to find the story to quote it accurately because like all stories they tend to get jumbled up some way when trying to recite them from memory.

But, I would ask you to do something some time EG. When you go to pray for someone who is sick, or needs ministry some way....fast 7 seven days and see what happens.

This is why I tend to believe Wigglesworth might of punched some one in the stomach. I won't post publicly anymore about these things. And no I never punched anyone.
 
I never had any sisters but I do have two brothers. We fought so much when we were young, but today love reigns. Age does a lot to ones perspective.

Please don`t come hard at me , I have no real understanding of what tongues mean yet , but I pray the Holy Spirit will teach me as He does daily...

This is what I thought tongues was from what I have read when I come across it in the bible...

Tongues were given to the Apostles so they could go out and preach the Word of God in all languages , to those in foreign countries that they travelled to that had not heard the good news...
Am I anyway near right , or on the right track :D...xox...

I will also say that this is what goes on around here

in particular, you make it a practice to get personally insulting and demeaning in the way you respond to others

you speak to other posters ABOUT someone...as you are doing with me...and you and they all agree at how 'awful' that person that you are targeting is

which of course is why I point out how you and others gang up on people

this is your MO

as I said, you don't exhibit feeling sorry...however 'feeling sorry' is not a Christian response

I cannot consider you as anything but an immature person trying to sound all knowing

as I said, I will address what I consider very bad doctrine in your posts, but as for your personal insults, I will leave that with you and God and the same for the rest of you who encourage him with this behavior and do the same

if you want to consider what the Bible says regarding tongues, read Paul's letters to the Corinthians

cessationist believe all these things have ceased and MacArthur in particular says it is from the devil

however Rosemary, you can decide in prayer for yourself..between you and God

that is how I received the infilling of the Holy Spirit...I was taught all the things MacArthur states but when I read the Bible I did not see at all what he says

there are many sensationalist videos out there, but that is not proper behavior. Paul also outlines how the tongues should be used and the gifts are mainly for the building up of the body of Christ

this is such a wearisome thread.

I actually understood more than I know , praise God...
I can see how satan counterfeits everything God does , and he has also done it with speaking in tongues , God is not a God of confusion...
People have taken tongues to their own extreme as we can see from the likes of those who claim it is from the Holy Spirit , it is so so sad...
I do not doubt for one second that God does not use people to speak in tongues , a great gift to have when God calls it to be used , but no way in this fashion , the Holy Spirit of God loves a quiet and gentle spirit ...

1 Peter 3:4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

Lets cut to the chase, do you believe that Peter is saying in acts 2: 32 that remission of sin is obtained when we are water baptized, in other words. Water baptism saves.

What you have stated here is exactly where many of us have started in this discussion. Not just in this thread. I agree COMPLETELY with your thinking here, but the more you talk about how maniacal endless laughter, rolling on the floor, barking like a dog, slain in the spirit by touching or waving your hand at somebody, or using violence to heal somebody, the more virulent the response will be from those that don't agree with you.

I also believe the Lord can use tongues and healing FOR HIS PURPOSES, on HIS timing, and NOT to satisfy someone's desire for an "experience". But that doesn't cut it with many. Be Blessed sister.

Um Did not my prayer have power? A girl was healed of emphysema, and 2 spots in her lungs which the doctors said was cancer, disappeared. The girl that was told had maybe 2 years to live has now lived over 10 years. Which no signs of those things ever returning?

My questioning was is throwing a baby to the ground from God? Did they act that way in the NT?
