It would be good to read the content of a post before responding.. The commentary had nothing to do with baptism.
It would not matter, the same goes for any belief system. (Which was my point) I can find many commentaires that refute the two you shared. So what good are they?

Or is that to hard for you to understand?

Have often wondered why they are called commentaries when they are nothing more that one persons OPINION?

First off, I didn't even post the video. Secondly, you are so filled with rage and hate you didn't even address the subject of ecumenicalism, and the close alliance with the pope. It IS hard to come to grips with the fact that you have believed falsehoods. I understand that. But don't make your error worse.

Will you yet admit that your boy Wigglesworth was a bad guy? Even after the glowing testimony from Sid Roth and Wigglesworth's great granddaughter, BOTH OF WHOM say that him smashing a dying/dead baby against a wall and then kicking it off a stage "back to life" is a good thing!!?
judge much?

how do you know he is filled with rage?

would it be that discernment you say you have?

his boy?

how do you people get through reading your Bibles with all the sin described therein?

as far as that video goes, I did find it strange, but I am not a proponent of WOF or everyone getting together and singing kum by yah but the strangest thing, is you actually think people who speak in tongues, or are Charismatic or Pentecostal are going to become Catholic and now that is your hill with your flag planted on it

that's deception right there,

see, saying someone is filled with rage is a personal attack

the cessationists do that constantly and then wait for a response to the attack rather than addressing the op

well done

bravo

you are sure to win 2 points from your buddies on that one

I mean I could say what I think you are filled with, but I refrain and pray about it

God usually puts a zipper on the piehole, but no such restraints with you dudes

personally, I think this thread is ample evidence it is exactly the right tool to use

your opinion, his opinion, commentary guy's opinion and of course my opinion

I don't see a problem

I mean can YOU speak Koine Greek?

More boggus slander of the body.
Tireless fake false concern for us.

Find a new hobby.
Its like you are going to a church john started and trying to tell his followers that john is of the devil because someone did some abuse somewhere.
Pure agent of satan sir.

My bible says if a child asks for a bread, his father will not put a serpent or a scorpion in his hand.
I am guaranteed satan can not answer my prayer.
You however, are DETERMINED to MAKE something up to disenfranchise the body of Christ.
Nobody that has recieved the promised blessing is going to listen to,or watch, your vomit spew against the Holy Ghost.
Those men you are partnered with HATE CHARISMATICS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.
THEY ARE DRIVEN BY SPIRITS. DEMON SPIRITS.
ASK YOURSELF WHAT FRUIT ARE YOU PRODUCING IN ATTACKING THE BODY???
You sure aren't going to steal what the Holy Spirit poured out.
And edited videos are the same as lying. So add lying to your resume

pretty much

I would add that of course the devil does not answer prayers, but he sure does try to circumvent them...Gabriel had to battle with demons to get an answer to Daniel, whom God sent an answer to the day he prayed!

man people

open your eyes!!!

you totally ignore the spiritual realm while saying you believe in God whom you have never seen

and then you strike through each and every reference to anything spiritual in scripture that has to do with your faith producing spiritual results

the devil loves what you do! you have made the power of God of no effect in your own lives and desire to do the same to others

I am really and truly shocked but this explains the 'Ichabod' written over so many churches that deny God's will and have put religious man made doctrines in place

somebody stop me! or I might really get truthful LOL!

ok ok...one more thing

are you REALLY sure the harlot is the Catholic church? because you do not worship Mary, does it mean it's ok if you do not worship as God tells us to?

SMH and no it is not going to fall off

LOL!

yup. 'they' always do tell, eh Roger?

you guys cannot, just cannot, stop the sniping and bullying

apply those verses to yourself as you surely can repeat them but they have not found any root in you
The word of God states that so it is a fact.

Nu 32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.

HELP! I am running out of salt.
I understand there are many things I would like to say but it would not be profitable for the Lord. It would satisfy my flesh but not the Holy Spirit.

I do not speak in tongues either , but rest your mind on this...

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: \:love:/...xox...

oh oh...before I forget...here's a one more thing

since Paul said not everyone spoke in tongues and yet he addressed his letter to the entire church, why conclude
otherwise?

however, EVERY Christian should operate in the power of the Holy Spirit

that is not a default position. a human's default position would be the flesh and spiritual witchcraft...the true religion of fallen mankind...operate in the flesh, make your own god and then use your soul to manipulate, entrap and force

that should be a settled issue

as I posted above and I believe those who insist otherwise are going beyond scripture...not any single one of us has it all correct

one other thing though, it seems to me many use scripture to comfort themselves (don't take this personally...I'm speaking generally)
while not understanding it applies to those who are Spirit filled and not just what some call 'saved'

hang around with cessationists and you won't get proper teaching...and be wary of the excesses of the overzealous who act out in their flesh

Water baptism is to the church what circumcision was to the jew. A way to add works of the flesh to the gospel of Grace, and pervert the gospel of Christ.
Wonder why God commanded both?

"He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant." Gen 17:13-14 (Old Testament dispensation requirement - circumcision (received name on that day))

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Matt 28:19-20 (New Testament dispensation requirement - water baptism (received name on that day))

Paul said water baptism constituted a type of circumcision made without hands:

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead." Col 2:11-12

Hi 7...
I don't even know what a cessationists is lol...
I don't know much , but what I do have is the daily teaching from the Holy Spirit , and I do know for sure that I am God's child , and I only respond to post when I feel truly led to say something , otherwise I sit and read , hopefully to learn also...
I also know it is very dangerous to add or take away from Scripture , or use it out of context ...

The skies have just opened and a massive surge of rain has fell , so glad , all my garden plants have been given a great drink , no carrying the water can for me for the next couple of days :giggle:...xox...

Sounding brass.

1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Hyperbole sure but a tinkling cymbal does seem quite appropriate.

God commanded alot of things man.

No one was saved in the OT because they were circumcised, And no one is saved in the NT because they are baptised. Or goes to church, Or follows the sabbath or any other command (works) god has commanded.

By the way. Col 2 is a spiritual event, it speaks of the spiritual cirumcision/baptism of God which the physical symbols of physical circumcision and physical baptism in water represent. What part of “NOT BY THE HANDS OF MEN” do you not Get?

I should apologize. This is not a baptism thread. Seems we have gotten off topic. Even though some will still say no one teaches salvation by water baptism here. It is still off topic. Forgive me
