I judged no one. I posted the recorded scripture about water and Holy Ghost baptisms.
Your walk is between you and God.
At best your commentary on those scriptures is unsound. You certainly appear to espouse a false gospel of baptismal regeneration.

A passage about the gospel less speaking in tongues...

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

well, fred, you are not in heaven yet and you cannot live for God as he requires without the POWER of the Holy Spirit

we cannot please God in our fleshly efforts which means we must walk in the Spirit

no one can walk in the Spirit if they constantly refuse Him

tongues are the least of your worries

God's Word states a spiritual rebirth must take place. Clearly water and spirit baptism (with the evidence of speaking in tongues) play a part in the rebirth. Otherwise, why would the God inspired Word record the need for, and personal experiences of, both?

In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. 2 Cor 13:1
The bible does not say such. The bible states the gospel from adam until the end of time is faith in Christ. What you are teaching here is a different gospel. And I suggest you look at Gal 3 for the warning paul gave you who think we need to earn our salvation by works of the flesh.
John 3:5-8
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Notice what Jesus is saying here, the Spirit is not visible but one will discern its presence by sound.
There is no baptism in this saying of Jesus, If there was, Jesus would have told nicodemus, That God so loved the workd, whoever believes AND IS BAPTISED shall never die but has eternal life.

Acts 2:2-8
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?”
This does not prove your case. This is ONE example of what happened when people got saved
Acts 2:38-39
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Peter told EVERYONE to repent. He only told a certain group to be baptised. The people who were baptized were baptised BECAUSE they received the gift of the spirit, because they HAD remission of sin already.

Acts 10:44-48
“While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
This was a sign to peter, because peter could not believe gentiles could be saved and given the same gifts as he received. This again is not the norm

Acts 19:1-6
“And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost SINCE ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.”
Again, A sign, Not the norm, Look up in the bible Every time God changed, things like this occured. And quickly faded, because their was enough proof that this was real.

Paul's epistles include the spiritual rebirth concepts as well: (Rom 6:3-5, 1 Cor 1:15-16, 1 Cor 12:13, Gal 3:27, Eph 4:4-5, Col 2:12, Titus 3:5-6, Heb 4:1-2)
What you have done is added works to the gospel of Grace, Which pauls calls a false gospel. Like your brother waggles has done.

I have not looked to see how many charismatic believers have called you out on it, This is leaning me to believe they all believe the same, which (if true) means speaking in gifts is the LEAST of their problems. And we need to share with you (them) the gospel and not worry about these gifts,

Your walk is between you and God.
What you offered in that first statement was your judgment.
So lets forget about judgment and be honest with our thoughts.
Do you believe a person who never speaks in tongues is saved?

Here we have another who has judged me lost because I do not speak in tongues.
And yet the other tongues speakers will nto call them out.. This should prove the motive and understanding of those who profess and want to preach these gifts.

But can you see that you are now adding your own preconceived views, in interpreting that passage? Let's put it in context

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall

Verse 18 specifically say They shall take up serpents, not if you "accidentally come into contact with snakes".

The Jews, as a race, placed a premium on seeing signs, as we can tell from the 4 Gospels. Without signs, they are unlikely to accept the preaching of the 12 disciples.
All you are doing is trying to figure out a way to promote a powerless God.
To you God is outta gas. Powerless.
To you power is a very, very bad thing.
And since a huge section of the body is happy to jettison Gods power, they devised the temporary God. He just added temporary power, for evil Jews.

WHAT A CONVOLUTED STUPID MESS.

Dude, Just because we do nto believe in the CHARISMATIC form of gifting, does not mean =we do not believe in the power of God. We witness the power of God all the time

Please stop with your nonsense and false accusations. If you disagree, disagree, but stop with the silly attacks which are unfounded

Commentaries on the subject of Matt 16:18:
Mark 16:14-18
They shall take up serpents. This was fulfilled in Paul, who was not hurt by the viper that fastened on his hand, which was acknowledged a great miracle by the barbarous people, Acts 28:5,6. They shall be kept unhurt by that generation of vipers among whom they live, and by the malice of the old serpent. (4.) If they be compelled by their persecutors to drink any deadly poisonous thing, it shall not hurt them: of which very thing some instances are found in ecclesiastical history.
(from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible, PC Study Bible Formatted Electronic Database Copyright © 2006 by Biblesoft, Inc. All Rights reserved.)

Mark 16:17-18
In the Greek the first two clauses in Mark 16:18 may be understood as conditional clauses with the third clause as the conclusion. An interpretive rendering would be, "And if they be compelled to pick up snakes with their hands and if they should be compelled to drink deadly poison, it shall by no means (ou me, emphatic negative; cf. 13:2) harm them." This promise of immunity by divine protection in either situation refers to occasions when persecutors would force believers to do these things. This does not warrant voluntary snake-handling or drinking of poison, practices not attested in the early church. Since Paul's encounter with a snake at Malta was unintentional (cf. Acts 28:3-5), the New Testament records no actual instance of either of the experiences described here.

Hmmmm. Paul did speak of many filled who didn't speak, and he also said we won't all speak. So yeah to claim everyone has to is baloney.

But he did also say we are all part of the Body - and that each part has a function. And to perform a function of the body requires a gift, right? Not all will speak, not all will heal, not all will have knowledge ... not all will be a hand , not all will be a foot, not all will be a brain (ok had to throw that in for levity). But all will be SOMETHING. And likewise, all should manifest SOME gift.

Keeping in mind that the vast majority of the true gifts occur in intimate settings, not under the circus tent; so not publicly displaying a gift does not mean they are not there in a person.

just want to qualify what you are saying above in response to pony

Paul never said how many did nor did not speak in tongues. I asked pony to supply proof of the many...if it's there, I have not seen it

it's just when people make sweeping statements in any camp, I don't agree

maybe that's just me, but there you have it

and did say wished all would speak in tongues

people who refuse to acknowledge this manifestation of the Holy Spirit (not speaking of the poster you replied to) have a loose screw or nut or bolt or something that cause them to not only try to prove it does no longer happen, but they also have to attempt the impossible and wipe out all references to it or personal testimonies about it

what you say about intimate settings I have found to be true also. personally, I don't think anyone should be accumulating vast amounts of wealth in the name of Jesus. the workman is worthy of his hire, but perhaps not his private planes

You can find a commentary to fit any belief system. They do not help your case my friend.

I recommend you study the word and interpret the word to make it agree with itself. And not look for men who agree with you. Just because they agree with you.

Water baptism is to the church what circumcision was to the jew. A way to add works of the flesh to the gospel of Grace, and pervert the gospel of Christ.

They always tell on themselves.

Believers do not show rebellion and bitter speech as fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Col 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Pr 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

I shared scripture. The following is not an interpretation of what the scripture states about water and Holy Ghost baptisms it is actual scripture:

More boggus slander of the body.
Tireless fake false concern for us.

Find a new hobby.
Its like you are going to a church john started and trying to tell his followers that john is of the devil because someone did some abuse somewhere.
Pure agent of satan sir.

My bible says if a child asks for a bread, his father will not put a serpent or a scorpion in his hand.
I am guaranteed satan can not answer my prayer.
You however, are DETERMINED to MAKE something up to disenfranchise the body of Christ.
Nobody that has recieved the promised blessing is going to listen to,or watch, your vomit spew against the Holy Ghost.
Those men you are partnered with HATE CHARISMATICS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.
THEY ARE DRIVEN BY SPIRITS. DEMON SPIRITS.
ASK YOURSELF WHAT FRUIT ARE YOU PRODUCING IN ATTACKING THE BODY???
You sure aren't going to steal what the Holy Spirit poured out.
And edited videos are the same as lying. So add lying to your resume
First off, I didn't even post the video. Secondly, you are so filled with rage and hate you didn't even address the subject of ecumenicalism, and the close alliance with the pope. It IS hard to come to grips with the fact that you have believed falsehoods. I understand that. But don't make your error worse.

Will you yet admit that your boy Wigglesworth was a bad guy? Even after the glowing testimony from Sid Roth and Wigglesworth's great granddaughter, BOTH OF WHOM say that him smashing a dying/dead baby against a wall and then kicking it off a stage "back to life" is a good thing!!?
