This is why these conversations get so frustrating.

People can read and see many things said have yet to happen. And could not have happened. Yet people will still focus on one sentance or one words, take them out of context. Then attack the other person saying they are calling someone some name or whatever. .

All you have to do is read. And you can see certain events have not happened yet. And in fact COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED YET (the technology was not yet invented)

You can not make things appear to happen that has not happened.

No he is not a false prophet. Because to those who are living at the time of those events, and who are experiencing the great tribulation and Gods wrath at that time, The time will come quickly.

Context means everything.
One thing overlooked by many including the AWOT addressed earlier.....the bible is written from GOD'S perspective of TIME.....NOT man's........but hey....at least my cats are smart enough to know when they are being fed.......!!!!!!!

First and foremost, the idea that the end came and went in 70 A.D. is idiotic.....
Second....before the body presence "coming" of Christ there is a list of events that have not happened yet......
Third....practically speaking, the only ones that place Revelation being written before 70 A.D. are the same ones that peddle the first on this list
Fourth.....It is pure ignorance to reject that we have had almost 2000 years of history with ALL the signs listed taking place with ever increasing occurrence and severity which JESUS himself called BIRTH PAINS.....I.E. Wars, rumors of wars, famines, diseases etc......

One news worthy ITEM this week......A massive locust plague hitting parts of the Middle East, Saudi Arabia etc.......<----JOEL said that before the GREAT DAY of the LORD what would take place.....?

For the NAYSAYERS....NOT saying that it is a fulfillment of JOEL.....just an interesting tidbit of INFO.....made me think of JOEL immediately.......
They talk to us like we do not have a clue. Yet scripture is so clear. What keeps them in that funk is beyond me.. pride?

Amen, Things happen quickly, ie, when these events start to occur, they will quickly occur and it will only last for a short time (the end is near)

By the way I asked a question earlier about when a prophesy had taken place. Are you going to answer the question or just ignore it?
Seeing as any answer I give is not going to satisfy you I don't see the point. I gave you a link to Milton Terry (Professor of Hebrew and Old Testament exegesis and theology) about biblical apocalyptics and you just blew it off with a "that's fine".

See.....one benefit from the Hebrew and Greek......In God's eyes it is all already done......he is just waiting for "time" to play out......and exactly why from the perspective of truth EVERYTHING does come quickly.....UNLESS GOD wants man to see it from man's perspective of time <---Like DANIEL was told.....

a thousand years.........compared to.....in GOD'S eyes....so let's play out the last 2000 years

a. AS two days
b. As 6 or 8 hours (depending on which watch in the night one goes by)
c. As but YESTERDAY

When JESUS said I COME QUICKLY...HE was addressing MAN as GOD and in HIS EYES.....2000 years is at most 2 days........!!!

In other words, you do not have an answer

I want to know what you think not what some supposed man who wrote some book thinks.. I am here to discuss with YOU, not someone else.

And by the way, You blow off things people say to you. So stop being so arrogant and thinki gn it is only. You who has truth.

Once again, Can you answer or not? Whether I agree with you is beside the point.

I don't think that is the case EG, it seems that you think others with a different view "do not have a clue'.

Yet scripture is so clear. What keeps them in that funk is beyond me.. pride?
Your view is "clear" to you just as my "view" is clear to me.

Pride can go both ways but it looks like pride does not apply to you only those that disagree with your dispensational understanding.

I would say us quoting JESUS trumps some supposed expert......but hey.......Didn't JESUS say something about following other men in their own name......

I do have an answer, but it is not going to resonate with you, how do I blow people off when I give a quite lengthy response with scripture.

How am I being arrogant, I'm not the one making comments such as blah, blah, blah and such by others on here.

I'm not going to go back to a "theology" that makes no sense after having well studied it, seen the contradictions, overly complicated with a simplistic literal reading of the prophecies that destroys the valid time statements and found it to be wanting.

I see this is turning into a "not by works" thread, which is too bad.
It does not have to, I appreciated the link.

Everyone should surely search out both sides of a doctrine, especially eschatology where there have been many false prophets who have been blatantly wrong with their predictions.

It seems to me, the key is rightly dividing the figurative/metaphor/abstract representing a reality and the references that are indeed concrete and real.

With all due respect.....many of US have studied the crap out of this subject without bias and or input from any of the people you have named, nor have we been influenced by these named false prophets....and too be frank...so far I have seen many claim to be open to the truth and with BIAS have rejected all truth while remaining bias to ideals and ideas that do not even come close to being scriptural......just saying

the problem is I can find so called experts to support any view. I have read from the views of many beliefs. And do not even agree completely with those who follow my belief. So what good are they really. Which of these so called experts are right?

What I really cannot stand is one that claims to be studying to find the truth and yet on every turn rejects the truth......

You just answered your own question. This is an arrogant response and does. It prove anything.

Fact is I can make the same argument to you against your belief. But does that prove me right? No

Long posts do not prove you right Either

You still have not answered my question. Again. Whether I agree or not is beside the point. God said it would happen and he would carry out those events. So when did they happen?

Thank you for the respect ... :D:D

I'm glad for you...I have not looked at the other side but I am now.....they make some excellent points that must be considered.

Mr DCon we all have bias ...and including myself.....the trick is recognizing one's bias and where it comes from.
My bias started with Hal Lindsey....I need to start again

Not arrogant at all, it's an admission that after careful study I found the dispensational position I held was wrong.

I doubt you can make the same case unless you had been an amill, or postmill for years and then after careful study found them wanting.
