So, you sin by "accident" every time you sin?

Give me a break.

You don't have to make any choice at all to sin. Sin includes any missing of the mark of God's perfect standard. We commit sins of omission as well as commision. There are sins of imperfect motive, imperfect intent, even our good works are imperfect.

In order to be perfect, we would have to be as pure as Christ.

But the fact that we are not as pure as Christ does not make us a slave to sin.

Sorry your theology is so UNBALANCED.

Enjoy your unbalanced theology, Bud.

ALL sin is a choice, Mac. That won't fly in a human court, let alone God's court. "Missing the mark" is simply sinning. Sin, plain and simple. Violating God's Law. You're not going to fool the judge with that logic, Mac.

My imperfection and the fact that I am not as perfect as Christ is is not by choice, Budman

Your sinning is definitely a choice, Mac. And you know it.

What sinning are you talking about?

Jesus said a slave abideth not forever. SO by your doctrine, NO ONE but Jesus is going to be in heaven.

Nice theology there, Bud.

You sin daily, claim you're not a slave to it, and then try to excuse your sins by saying you basically are doing it against your will.

Nice theology there, Mac.

So, God would then have no reason to damn them - since they really didn't "mean" to?

You sneak the word "habitual" in there as if that's the key. You are absolutely wrong. A single lie attributed to a person is enough to send them to hell. You are not taking into account the absolute holiness of God. You make it as if God judges on a sliding scale. As if a few lies are okay, but if you make it a habit, you're toast.

And you can't single out lies. ANY sin whatsoever that one owes a debt for is enough to damn them. One act of lust, one theft, one act of taking God's name in vain, etc. That's why Christians have no sin debt at all. We can never be lost. Jesus paid it completely.

Habitual IS the keyword because it signifies the spirit of rebellion.
