I think then we both would be right. Because....the seed of the Word in greek is sperma which is part of the reproduction process; producing the new creation spiritual man/woman. A gift, unearned.By grace through faith. Producing love...the fruit.

It does not work properly where love is absent. Because he who does not love does not know God.
Faith without love is faith without works, and it is dead Faith without love is dead and fruitless.
That is pretty much the gist of what James said in James 2, isnt it? And it is in perfect agreement with Paul.
Is there two kinds of faith? Because scripture also says there is the gift of faith.
As far as works, I am not of the thought that the works are good deeds. Works of Holy Spirit that Jesus said we would do.
And James? Not a fan.

Faith precedes love, but love does not lag far behind faith. If it does, there is a key ingredient missing in that faith. For faith works by love.
Galatians 5:6- For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Faith produces love and love produces genuine good works. Without love, our works are vain. (1 Corinthians 13). We were not talking about justification, which is a work of God. We were talking about fruit and works. Faith produces salvation (NEW CREATION), Salvation produces love (fruit) and love produces works (more fruit, love in the Spirit is the seed)

Justification produces love.
Love produces genuine good works (1 Cor. 13)

Get some honesty and take your medicine dude or like I said do not address me....YOU SAID the following..and the following states clearly by implication that FAITH and LOVE are BOTH required to be saved....and that is false....LOVE is a process of GROWTH as evidenced by the word PERFECTED......AND JAMES does not say that.....

The first clause seems to be descriptive due to the second clause. so therefore, Jesus is describing a person who loves much as one who has been forgiven much

I can't get over the fact that Paul confronted James.
Paul received the revelation of the body of Christ. Something new and never before seen on earth. James doesn't speak of this. It's like a mixture.
But, it's just my own opinion. There are good sayings in it but I don't stake my walk on it.
