I won't speak for all women, as what I am about to say doesn't fit all women. I just know that for me, I can understand why the woman is a help mate. I think sometimes, and I am working on self control in this area, thanks be to Him, I operate from my emotions. Besides that being a slippery slope, I think it deviates from the word of God. We should line up our, thoughts, actions, and emotions to the word of God. Also. emotions and responses to deceptive ppl, for example, can be very inaccurate, hoping, wanting, and seeing the best is not wise and reasonable approach. Deciding someone is God centered by “feeling”, well that is just foolish, eh? He is showing me, with His patience and mercy, my stubbornness to accept some people are not as they would have you believe or who they present themselves to be. Some give a holy kiss, with God in mind, others with corruption in mind.

Ok, off topic, sorry I digressed.

My thread has not one thing to do with that, lol. I just am pondering the idea of God hugging, embracing. Is this a warm fuzzy thing women, who were made for nurturing read into because we, or I, like connection?

Do you have any thoughts on this that can be substantiated by scripture. I am not asking if my "feelings" are valid or for anyone to explain them to me, (lol, talk about dangerous territories, lol), just your thoughts on God, who is Spirit, giving hugs.

Sorry about going off on deception but I was just trying to make a point about how leading from emotions is not reasonable with regards to scriptural, God centered, wisdom.

You are one mature in Christ sister!

Of course men need love and women need respect, but by and large we are wired differently.

Men NEED intrinsically respect, and part of that is leadership. They MUST use their role to protect, sacrifice and unfailingly love the woman.

Women NEED love intrinsically, and it is their blessed emotions that nourish, and touch men's hearts. The 2 together were perfectly made for each other in God's design.

Many might see your post as a kind of put down of women, but MEN NEED women, and their strength. And Women NEED men.

Beautiful thoughts as always by you!

Oh thanks, Brother, for understanding that I would never want to diminish the way God made us, men or women. You are right, we are different and that is a blessing from Him. I guess that the reason why some women "feel" hugged by God is because that is how we are wired. Thanks Brother, Penn. I appreciate your feedback. I love love love blessed emotions, yes. With His help, we can manage them and they blossom into beautiful blessings from God.

I want to apologize to any and all women if my OP was offensive, truely. We are daughters of the Great I Am.

Charlie.

I have at times, bought Jesus a bunch of flowers and put them in my room,
but in my mind they are for Him. That’s kind of woman mushy stuff.

I am reminded of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15 (vs 11-32).
Verse 15 says, “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him".

I think many times when we are touched, blessed, encouraged, redirected, reminded, even disciplined by the Lord, it can indeed feel just like He's hugging us. <3
