I would go to Idaho. Why? Because there's someone there I'd love to see. I'd go in a van, so I'd have my own home away from home. I'd get a job and stay there until the wheels fell off.

Vancouver B.C. I'd like to see the Yukon first but my perfect vacation would include a tour of the US and Canadian national parks with my sweetheart and a couple of cameras. I haven't seen Yellowstone, Niagara falls or Carlsbad Caverns yet.

Switzerland. For me it's gotta be Switzerland. My grandmother went there one time and brought back the smoothest dark chocolate with a slight smoky flavor. There's nothing like it around here. I still dream of that chocolate sometimes...

We just got our monthly Costco savings booklet today. I am hoping that the all expense paid trip to Costco includes a stop at the food court as I have never actually dined there. I want one of those $1.50 1/4 lb hot dogs and Pepsi with free refills.
Costco pizza is the bomb! And cheap, too!

Something I been thinking ever since this thread started: In all them game shows my grandma watches, the game show chooses the destination for the all expense paid trips. They never let the contestants choose.

Japan. Always wanted to visit Japan.

Anywhere I can see the northern lights, that would be a cool experience.

Also, salar de uyuni. It’s where the sky meets the earth. If you look at some photos, you’ll see what I mean.

I have always wanted to go to Europe, or maybe a trip about the Holy Land. Those have been on my "someday" list for awhile. I would also like to go see where I was born at some point. I have only seen it in documentaries. I must have been only a year or so old when we moved. I think we moved 3 or 4 times before my earliest memories.

Turneffe Atoll, which is off the coast of Belize.

* Why would you like to go to this particular place? Does it have some kind of special interest, memory, or personal history for you?

It's theorized to be the actual Neverland based on clues from Peter Pan. Also, I love the ocean, so why not?

* How would you prefer to travel there? I know this question depends on what's applicable to your destination of choice, but would you prefer: car, train, plane, boat, pack mule, etc., and why?

Plane I guess. It's fastest. A little pixie dust never hurt anyone though.

* How long would you plan to stay, and what would you do while you were there?

Two weeks is enough for me. Although it's theoretically possible I become a lost boy and lose track of time.

* Who would you take with you, and why?

Girlfriend, because I'll need somebody to take pictures of me in my Peter Pan costume.

I would like to travel by train to some quiet place by the sea, perhaps to Oregon or Washington State, or maybe ferry (or fly) to Nova Scotia, preferably in springtime or autumn.

Then again, I wouldn’t even mind traveling to some mountainous desert place in Nevada or Utah. Or even to an evergreen mountain in Pennsylvania where a river flows down. I’d like to hike there, fish in the morning, sleep in a cabin.

I would like to stay for at least a month so I could have time to clear my mind and write.

That’s actually been my lifelong dream: to be in some extraordinarily sublime place in the quietness and loveliness of nature where I’d be inspired to write.
