A little strong but not off point. Yes a lot of churches are indeed dead because they deny any signs of actual life.

But I would caution, that as much as not all cessationists blatantly attribute all manifestation as demonic, not all cessationist denominations are failing to do God's work. I know of many churches that do not operate in the gifts, and yet are doing great things for God.

I don't blame cessationists for their views, a lot of what they show as evidence is valid. But to toss the baby with the bathwater -again, would satan work so hard to make the waters so dirty if there were not a truth he is trying to obscure? Something he's trying to stop?

And yeah, I fear for those who come out and proudly say it. I pray they not be part of those told to depart, but scripture is pretty clear here. Noose you are first on my prayer list these days. I don't care if you ever come around to see it our way, but PLEASE stop saying every manifestation is of satan. You're human - don't throw your soul away on the chance you can't be wrong.

Basically what I am saying here:

Acting like a police officer, where there is a robbery and you take everyone in until each person can either prove their innocence or admit their guilt is not a bad thing. Yes, at one point in my scenario, everyone is seen as guilty. But in the end, typically the bad people are caught and the good people go home free.

But in the case of accepting or calling those who speak in Tongues as followers of the Adversary, is beyond reason and at the point of revealing JUST HOW STUPID SOME BELIEVERS FROM DEAD CHURCHES EXACTLY ARE!!

I look at EVERY POSTER HERE, who believes, that Tongues is dead and those who do it are of the Adversary. And generally what I have seen, is OVER RATED OPINIONS THAT ARE FAR FETCHED.

And you know what that PSYCHOLOGICALLY REVEALS TO PEOPLE WITH A CLUE?

Weak minded, weak kneed, struggling in life to overcome everything, defeated, hypocritical, and without God they would be nothing. And it's obvious you must then ask, DO THEY ACTUALLY BELIEVE IN GOD TO HAVE SUCH PATHETIC LIVES AND NO VICTORY?

Because it's the people WHO ARE LOSERS, that are the ones doing the things to BRING THOSE FREE IN GOD AND FULL OF VICTORY down to their PATHETIC LEVEL!!

And when I see this, like we can on this very forum and thread, I crank my music LOUDER and get my mind focused on God and WORSHIP HIM while speaking in Tongues, because in this stupid debate, I AM WINNING!!


Yes, definitely we should pray for them. But I am never going to LOWER MYSELF to their level and give up what God has blessed me with through the Holy Spirit!!

I think there's a dividing line between believing something and confessing it. Jesus said, believe in your heart and confess with your lips to be saved. I think the same principal is at work here. You may believe in your mind all gifts have ceased, and be ok (relative to the subject). But when you come right out and say it - all gifts are demonic - that's a decision, a pronouncement. What comes out of a man, right? That's where I think one crosses the line.

An example from the OT...
What about Job, satan wanted Job to curse God but Job, even though he suffered all these calamities didnt curse God. He questioned and kind of doubted Him, but he didnt curse God. He didnt sin with his lips.

He said he gives and takes away, blessed is the name of the Lord.

If Job had cursed God, would he have lived and been forgiven...? Interesting thing was Jobs wife, urged him to curse God, but we dont know what happened to her. Did she stay with him after all that? She wasnt even going to comfort Job like his three friends tried to. Job didnt sin with his lips...

Is sinning with your lips, somehow, even worse than sinning with your heart. You know how some people believe something, but they dont come out and say it. Just want to know how that connection works...

GOd also says elswehere in scripture that people praise him with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him. So Hes able to tell. What if its reversed...?

Not everything we see is always real and genuine in anything we look at. Not everything we see is always fake and demonic. But if you take a person who has never spoken in Tongues, or been in such an electrifying atmosphere, were you are like an actual livewire in the presence of the Holy Spirit. That person will look at this scenario and find it difficult to understand and perceive. That is just common sense.

It's like taking a person who has experienced such and put them into a Baptist Sunday morning service. Suicide seems like a better idea and option than sitting 10 more minutes in a literal DEAD ATMOSPHERE!!

It's why the Pentecostals are JEALOUS OF THE BAPTISTS, METHODISTS, PRESBYTERIANS, and all other DENOMINATIONS...Scriptures are VERY CLEAR...the DEAD in CHRIST shall rise first and those which ARE ALIVE will be caught up to meet them.

You did add something that is very correct, NO ONE should ever get hurt from being in the true presence of God. I have yet to be a part of something where someone needed medical attention afterwards.

The hissing, I did not actually watch the video you speak of, but I would also agree with your assessment concerning the hissing. Anything that sounds, look, acts like a snake is typically always a snake!!
