You know, I don't watch these kinds of videos. I don't believe the Holy Spirit is down for acting for a camera. You are probably right, this is probably faked. It's about bringing the power of God to the hearts of people, not putting on a dog and pony show.

I HATE this kind of stuff. Because it gives the cessies ammo that frankly, 9 out of 10 times they are right about.

BUT ... again ... would satan go to so much trouble to produce such fakery if there wasn't a truth to be hidden???

And really it's off topic. This is about blaspheme.
But you have to understand, God is not a God of confusion. There can not a genuine there and a fake here and we have no means of differentiating especially with tongues. All genuine ceased after it accomplished what it was set for and what is there is all fake so that whoever believes in it will have no excuse - doesn't the bible plainly say that?

The things in the video are not being done for camera, those are deceived and they themselves deceive many others. I have taken part in such and i was not doing it for camera, i truly believed that it was God.

The snake handlers handle very poisonous snakes endangering their lives not for the camera but it is what they truly believe. They do that while speaking in tongues too.

I understand getting to Heaven is going to be a miracle for the majority of us. I understand that many feel like I do, in that, we will make it by the smallest of margins, literally crawling across the portals of Glory. I understand that perception is important. I understand that appearance is key (except the Robertson/Duck Dynasty/which I have a similar wild and crazy look :)). I understand reputation is most important. i understand that one's actions can make or break them.

But when I look at GOD, in the form as a human being called, Yeshua. And I think about the Example Yeshua set for us. I see that PERCEPTION, APPEARANCE, REPUTATION, and ACTIONS literally did not matter. He stayed with the kinds of people that then and today we get judged by. He chose Disciples, whom some were thought of ill repute and labelled as outcasts. He was blatant, rude, came to bring DIVISION, and spent many moments doing things to irritate the religious societies, he was not polished like Christians try to be today (all dignified and proper, speaking eloquently, practicing the highest standards of etiquette) (God WAS NOTHING like that).

God came to us and He was so DIFFERENT, ODD, STRANGE, that He was judged, mistreated, lied about, and eventually murdered all because He was nothing like the DENOMINATIONS of His day. He represented Nothing that was established other than He was the God of their Fathers (I AM - Burning Bush).

Why do I mention ALL of this?

How are ANY OF YOU so positive about what the Pentecostals and Charismatic do in the presence of God, is actually WRONG and FAKE? Most Denominations are so DRY BONES and DEAD, you LITERALLY have to be born into a family who already attends there TO EVEN WANT TO VISIT SUCH A GRAVEYARD!!

What IF the Pentecostals and Charismatics are beloved by GOD for being FREE to Worship Him without limits?

What IF God views other Denominations that are DRY BONES like the Pharisees, whom He said were FULL OF DEAD BONES?

THE MAJORITY of OPINIONS and VIEWS, in the days of Yeshua, ended up being WRONG.
What if other Denominations opinions and views are WRONG about the Pentecostals and Charismatics?

You will have WASTED your entire lives serving God in a manner that God ultimately despises!!

In my opinion, the reason WHY the majority of you NEVER lead sinners to God and eventual Salvation, is because YOU really have nothing to offer but a DEAD CHURCH, DEAD SERMON, A DEAD WAY OF LIFE. I think YOU are YELLOW!! As in, afraid to lose your COMFORT ZONE and MAN'S TRADITIONS in order to finally make CONTACT with GOD!! I feel SORRY FOR YOU!! Trapped by what SOMEONE ELSE might think about you. Trapped by idealisms. Trapped by ignorance. Which ULTIMATELY MEANS, YOU are still trapped by the Adversary and the powers of hell.

Some of you are so PIAS and biased, it's sad but OBVIOUS, you very well might hear God say, I NEVER KNEW YOU, DEPART FROM ME!!

You really NEED to finally wake up and get a CLUE!!

As Brothers and Sisters in Yeshua, I try my best to accept your viewpoints and opinions. But, when it comes to How close I am able to get to God through my worship, your opinions and viewpoints are received like they were given to me from SATAN!!

Because in reality, they were sent to me by messengers of SATAN!!

Interesting that us Gentiles are concerned about this. It was a unique sin that was only applicable to the Jews when Jesus was reaching out to them, in the 4 Gospels.

Under the new covenant of Grace, there is no longer an unforgivable sin. The only sin that will send someone to hell, is the sin of not accepting Jesus as your sin substitute.

Personally, no matter how strongly I believe in a subject, being a failed human I always leave at least 10% doubt that I have no idea what I'm talking about. I would think that if everyone did the same, no one would be in danger of blaspheming the Holy Spirit, intentionally or otherwise.
You know Ricky...when it comes to the baptism of Holy Spirit, I think experience is the best teacher.

Well I do not do what the OP said anyway so I am not really worried..lol

But Once again sis

If I say all tongues is demonic, like the op said, am I blasphemeing the HS? (Th unforgivable sin)

Remembering, that if I am, and later repent, I am still lost forever. Because I have committed the unforgivable sin. (By definition) which will never be forgiven, in any age

I am not saying anything about tongues, I am asking, Is that a true statement?
I will tell you a story about my life.

I was the happiest I'd ever been in my life after meeting charismatic Catholics and began attending their Life in the Spirit worship meetings. The air in South Bend, Ind seem to crackle with the Fire of the Holy Ghost and there were many testimonies of things happening in people's lives. God was real and He was present with His people!

So in my excitement I call my parents and tell them what was happening there and to me.

I was shot down by my own family. Told it was of the devil, and that I would go crazy if I went on with this experience.

I knew that was wrong, and it would not happen.

Years later a woman was healed of MS in the small town area that I grew up in, and people there were affected by this happening. In my opinion, that happening broke that religious spirit that held the people
bound up by it, and then a black man full of the Holy Spirit comes to town. And he started a church. There were no black brothers and sisters living there before, but he drew many to the baptism and the giftings. There was controversy....much....but also the fire came.

I was hearing bits and pieces of what was going on, and my mother declares that it's not of God to me. She was very outspoken to others and rumors were flying everywhere. It was not just my mothers belief but many in the town agreed.

Time passes and the woman who was healed started a church. She was well known, and well thought of. And she affected my mother with her sweet spirit. There began a great change in my childhood area and my mother begins listening to Kenneth Copeland.

But, she was affected in her conscience by her previous actions and she asked me if she had blasphemed Holy Spirit. I reasured her she had not.

This is the fault of denominational leaders who are not good shepherds but are hirelings. When the church is run like a business, something is wrong. It becomes about numbers and tithes. Rather than the presence of God with us, Emanuel.

It had affected me too and the Lord took me through many trials of my faith that I could be freed from this.

I am slow to move on when the Lord has begun something new....not new as never before happened, but new to our personal walk.

So no, I don't believe a born again child has committed this sin, but is too just a victim.

I tend to agree. But, I wouldn't say not accepting, but making a decision to reject Him. And that just occurred to me as I wrote this.

But, as Ricky said, we could be wrong.

Are the snake handlers worshipping Jesus and Father while they do this? That might be the defining factor with experiences that offend us. Is there worship of God being expressed?

I would not be concerned if it was indeed just acting. So if it's not acting, and it's not the Holy Spirit, just what spirit is it?

Just like I'm not concerned with the fake psychic readers. It's the REAL ones that's the issue.

And it's not off topic because a poster related saying these guys are not Holy Spirit driven is blaspheming.

If something is not of God, and you say so, that is not blaspheme. That's exposing the truth.

Yes there are even plenty worse shenanigans out there. They do need to be exposed.

This is about those who say ALL gifts have ceased and ALL manifestations are of satan. Even among cessationists that's a very small pool.

But they do exist. We have one openly admitting it in this thread.
You are only concerned with one side of the coin and at the same time trying to be lukewarm, the end result, you can not tell apart the things of the light/day from those of darkness/night.

If some stranger spoke in tongues - you can't tell if it is of the Lord or not
If you witnessed some form of a miracle, you would easily claim it is from the Lord just by the sight of it.

The other side of the coin is just as serious. Attributing things to God that are not God's is also blasphemy of the Holy spirit.

So what are we to do? sit on the fence? be lukewarm? say it could be or could not be? say we don't know or not sure?
Has God left us on our own? Can we walk through all alleged tongues and come up with a criteria to distinguish genuine and fake?
What about examining oneself? is the tongue you are speaking a genuine gift? why? is it because of 1 Cor 12-14/Acts, does 1 Cor 14 make anything within you genuine? All these people you saw in the videos and the snake handlers also read 1 Cor 12-14 and Acts.

That why i say, God is not a God of confusion, that He could allow a genuine there and a fake here. Then people will be having excuses.

I think the Lord has already spoken to us everything we need to know, what is happening and what will happen until the end of age for our instruction and knowledge. We are not supposed to be guessing.

Do not be afraid to ask yourself simple questions. If the spirit of God distributes the gifts as He wills, why is the distribution today skewed? billions speaking in tongues, zero interpreters, this is hardly a distribution.

It could be me, But if I had a belief and there were videos of things which made my belief look bad, I would want to study them, if nothing else, to see what they are. So I could know what I was up against,

People thought i was dumb to read th ebook of mormon, But I learned alot. And it helped me to understand the enemy so that I could explain it when people asked, instead of assuming i know.

God is not to be mocked.

Last month, a south African pastor claimed to have raised a man from the dead. He made sure the event was broadcasted all over the media. The man woke up from his coffin and was given food to eat after he requested as a confirmation that he had actually been brought back to life (not sure how it confirms). The said man died last week from stomach related complications.

In Kenya, a pastor allegedly resurrected a middle aged woman late 2017, the woman died late last year and the pastor was nowhere to answer the questions.

If someone claimed to have resurrected a person today, would you believe it?

The op is, if you don't believe it, you have blasphemed the holy spirit.

I'd be more interested in hearing about your understanding of the scripture than your earthly experiences.

We grow in Christ but knowledge obtained from study of the word of God. We obtain understanding by the Holy Spirit teaching us what God is saying in His word to us. We obtain wisdom as we allow God to work in and through us through His word. Gods word never teaches us to rely upon emotion or experience to grow in Christ.

Roger, I have stated many times my understanding of the scriptures and in different threads.

It's my belief that when the disciples saw Jesus resurrected, they were repentant of their "unbelief". Jesus breathes on them and says receive Holy Spirit. That's the new birth. And churches teach ask Jesus into your heart. This is the Spirit of Christ, is Holy, and is the entrance into heaven.

Then Jesus tells them to wait....Pentecost comes. Is the baptism of the fire of the Holy Ghost. Anointed, gifted to minister. And the power of Sonship.

If Joe is just repeating what he has been taught he is a victim of denominational error. I would think the shepherds would be those judged, not the sheep.

But, it's just an opinion. I'm not God.

Don't blaspheme or speak evil of anyone would be wisdom wouldn't it?
