I think it's a made up doctrine, no where in the new testament is there any mention of this.
Book of Hebrews...you come to the throne of Grace boldly, nobody could enter the holy of holies without blood as an offering, but now Jesus has entered by his own blood. And so we can 'plead the blood' now because of Jesus giving his own blood. Thats how I understand it works.

I also heard derek Prince teaching this I dont think he made it up, but just explained what was already in the bible better. Without shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. Because Jesus shed his blood, we can be forgiven.

Acts 19:11-20 : The Sons of Sceva thought they were Disciples also.

John 6:53 - "Except you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His Blood, you have no life in you," (presents the demand that caused "many of His Disciples to go back, and walk no more with Him" (John 6:66). It does the same presently! This Verse tells us the degree of believing that is required; it refers to the Cross being the total Object of one's belief; failing that, there is no Life in you).

John 6:66 - From that time many of His Disciples went back, and walk no more with Him.

Yes Jesus did enter by his own blood, but I doubt he had to plead with God to enter in. Derek Prince was a Pentecostal. I don't put much stock in Pentecostal doctrine.

If I did a search I'm sure that Jimmy Swaggers "preached' the same thing.

Ok ok but we dont enter by our own blood, its only the blood of Jesus that counts.

And the passover, it was lambs blood that was required, not any other kind of blood. It had to be a lamb without blemish or spot.

Just explaining to you, you dont have to believe it, but, its in the Bible. Of course Jesus didnt have to plead his own blood, it we believers that need to.

Have you ever been to court or know about what happens people enter their plea and the judgment seat. It can be judgement or mercy. God has a mercy seat. Its in the Old Testament, look it up if you dont believe me.

I have read that book.
I also know if you mention the holy spirit with a bunch of witches, or God, they recoil. Ive actually seen that happen. They really dont like any mention of christianity. Invoke the name of Jesus, and they physically retreat or theres dead silence.
have you had personal encounters with witches then?

People that live in the dark - vampires? Shine the light on them and they shrivel and crumble. They dont like being exposed.

Jesus said he didnt do anything in the darkness, he was teaching on the temple during the day, he got arrested and night, when the people going after him could hide.

LOL! well I like the night and I don't like bright overhead lights on in the house at night

I kind of like the mystery of night in the country and the soft atmosphere in the home with the shadows cast by lights or candles

Jesus did nothing in the dark but He sure left quite a bit to the interpretation of some it seems

not sure why you responded as you did but anyway :giggle:

right

every item in the post I made wherein I said the quote was by Derek Prince has a biblical reference...not sure where I put that book right now (still unpacking in our new home) but when I come across it, I will provide those references

and you are bringing up a fact regarding the blood of Christ entering the holy of holies that it pictured in the OT and is such a beautiful picture at that

what some people do not know, is that there is actually an ark in heaven* and the tabernacle and all that went with it, were actually 'shadows' of the reality

glad you brought that up!

*Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail. Revelation 11:19

Well, before I got to really know God, I was rebellious and got into new age things and hung out with witches and people that were into claivoyancy and casting spells and that kind of thing. I remember going to pyschotherapist once, who was really into that, they are all into that to some degree 'spirituality' or 'transformation' 'energies' 'shamanism' etc. I mentioned God and this weird thing happened that she just couldnt talk anymore. Another time, was at a reiki meeting thing and I mentioned the holy spirit, and everyone went silent and said well this reiki isnt the holy spirit. Its some other spirit.

After that I didnt hang out with them anymore. And even with their healing thing, they couldnt send me any more of their 'energies' because it would be blocked. GOd had put up like a hedge around me. He was protecting me.

That kind of thing, though it seems all good on the surface, is like witchcraft because its divination and going outside of God, its not just the obvious wicca and halloween type witches. GOd forgave me as I did this out of ignorance I didnt mean to go against Him, He just showed me it was wrong.

You're lucky. I can't grow anything of myself. I must be one dumb sheep. The older I get, the more I gotta rely on Christ Jesus to do it all for me. Nevertheless, I found my rest in the Victor.
Faith comes by hearing....in hebrews (i think)
Note with peter,Jesus said come.
Peter heard the word (faith comes. It comes meaning it was not there before)
I build my faith from the word. Iow,the word becomes my basis,my standard for action and thinking. I am now outside the box of unbelief. I now believe and act, where as maybe before i was in fear/doubt.
Take skydiving as an example. I am afraid, but after seeing 10 jumpers go ahead of me successfully i am inspired to do the same. Then my instructor says in my ear jump and i will back you up.
Those things built my faith to act on the skydiving book.

I've heard about the same type of protection from others and experienced it myself

I think one day we will really be surprised when we learn all God protected us from on this earth

Thanks!

That like saying it would be wrong to stand on the salvation pillars.
(The blood of Jesus being one of them)

to add to this, what if that delay in traffic saved you from a bad accident?

what if the time your car wouldn't start you were kept from going where maybe you should not have gone because of something unforeseen?

what if is what we do not know but I think I might have learned a little patience and a little letting go of my own sense of importance

anyway, prayer is always good

From wiki....
"in legal terms, a plea is simply an answer to a claim made by someone in a criminal case under common law using the adversarial system. Colloquially, a plea has come to mean the assertion by a defendant at arraignment, or otherwise in response to a criminal charge, whether that person pleaded guilty, not guilty, no contest, (in the United States) Alford plea or (in the United Kingdom) no case to answer.

The concept of the plea is one of the major differences between criminal procedure under common law and procedure under the civil law system. Under common law, a defendant who pleads guilty is automatically convicted and the remainder of the trial is used to determine the sentence. This produces a system known as plea bargaining, in which defendants may plead guilty in exchange for a more lenient punishment. "

For me it is just that .
It is more or less " Hey devil, let me respond"
And i stick the blood of Jesus in his face.
I invoke/answer/plea the blood.
If in arriving in heaven and you answer/plea anything but the blood for your basis of entry.....well good luck

I lost track, who’s winning? Is it those who declare supernaturality by pleading the blood of Jesus or those who read the Bible for themselves? If anywhere in the Bible, the blood of sacrifices was used for anything other than the remission of sins and once to signal the Angel of Death, I’d say you have a case. Christ’s blood is for atonement, not making wishes to God. The only thing that resembles this idea is asking in the Name of Christ. In John 14 it spells it out, for those who follow Him, and do His commandments. He doesn’t say who does the Ten Commandments. He says His commandments. This is to love and forgive. It’s to not get caught up in the things of the world, avoiding all lust (wants), not just sexual. Then you can ask in His Name, and it will be done because we love Him. Pleading the blood is as Biblical as lying doesn’t count if you have your fingers crossed.

What does it mean?
IMO,pleading the blood Is saying that you are not guilty because GOD who loves righteousness accepted you through the finished work of JESUS and Instead of seeing your sin,HE sees the perfect sacrifice that JESUS made for us paying the price with HIS life shedding HIS blood.

The law says If you break It that you will pay with your life,LIFE Is In the blood.

Because of breaking GODs law In the garden law was added but people can’t measure up to fulfilling the law(GODs perfect standard of righteousness)because although they delight In the law of GOD after the Inward man they would see another law In their flesh/mind warring against the law of their minds and bringing them Into captivity to the law of sin which Is In their flesh.

Who shall deliver us from the body of this death.

We see JESUS who took our place as a man he fulfilled the law, By The Way ALL the law and the prophets are summed up In one word, love.

GOD IN CHRIST had mercy on all mankind and took the punishment that a righteous loving GOD required for breaking the law and gives grace to all who believe In the WORD of GOD.

A New Testament was put Into place. The law was Impossible for man to fulfill of his own strength,JESUS delivered us from the body of this death, now the Issue Is do you believe In the WORD OF GOD.

I think it's a made up doctrine, no where in the new testament is there any mention of this.
Rev 12;11
"...And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb......."

Invoked the blood.
So many times,in deliverance of demon infested individuals, the blood of Jesus, when invoked makes them run in terror.

To poo poo such a powerful weapon against the enemy is bizarre.
