I've tried that, but didn't get very deep. How deep did you manage to get?

According to Google, the deepest anyone has ever dug is about 12km, but no nucleus. Myth busted, or maybe it's better to stick with chickens?

It gets warmer the deeper you go.

That supports the idea that were living on something spheroidal which is held together by gravity.

Either that, or the deeper we dig, the closer we get to Hell. I'm not sure how the increase in temperature relates to shape of the Earth.

PV = nRT & F = GmM/r^2
You will have to elaborate if you want that post to mean anything to me... i don't see what the equations for the ideal gas law and the law of universal gravitation have to do with temperatures getting hotter the deeper you dig.

Pressure and temperature vary with direct relationship. The force of gravity increases exponentially in an inverse relationship to distance. Pressure is a force per unit area.

That's not how I read them. The first is just saying there is a correlation between pressure, volume, temperature and quantity, and is referring to gases. The second is simply an equation for (allegedly) calculating the force of gravity between two objects. Neither say anything about how the temperature of the Earth varies with depth.

It's hot in the center because there's more pressure. There's more pressure because the force is stronger and it's distributed on a smaller area.

If you can't comprehend physics or math you are going to find yourself pretty unqualified to speak about the shape and motion of the heavens and the Earth.

we expect on a planet with an atmosphere that it is warmer near the surface, under the pressure of the atmosphere, than it is high in the sky.
That happens to match observation.

If we believe the earth is flat and heated only by a tiny sun 90 miles high, we expect the clouds to be hotter than the ground.
It doesn't happen to be the case.

You should ask, why is it cold at the bottom of the sea, and deep lakes, then? Since it is also much higher pressure?

Because water - unlike atmosphere - is not very compressible. Increasing the pressure of water, psi for psi, doesn't increase molecular collision anywhere near as much as increasing the pressure - and with it the density - of nitrogen ((which most of our air is)).

Using that logic the sea water should be warmer the deeper you go from the pressure and snow shouldn't form deep ice glaciers.

Besides all that, Scripture tells us Christ holds all things together. Not gravity.

Read the post i was writing 1 minute before yours.

When i drop a rock am i measuring the force of Jesus?

Is a bathroom scale a Jesus meter?

Gravity pulls mass to other mass, but it doesn't hold all things together. To understand that physically we have to learn how things come to have mass in the first place, and charge - because electricity doesn't hold all things together either. We have our substance in Christ, too: physics doesn't explain why or how anything exists, only it describes the properties and motions of things.

That He holds all things together and gives all things existence goes way deeper than gravitational or electromagnetic attraction ;)

I was actually thinking the same thought. Can you relate again how you believe the equations you cited apply to the Earth, and it getting hotter the deeper you go?

Obviously, the latter equation describes the force claimed due to gravity, but how does the first equation factor in? I fear you are using the ideal gas law for a situation where it does not apply (i.e. a solid Earth), but am happy for you to correct me, if it is I who am mistaken.

Yes. The scale tells me just how many food blessings Jesus has given me!

Dear OP, You dont want to debate the shape, just slander those who ascribe to whatever you deem absurdity. Newsflash bud, Christian intelligence is spoken of very highly either, but you wouldnt consider yourself wrong, would you? The shape of the earth is not a salvational issue, how speak about other people IS.

Dear Darnell, you don't seem to want to enter discussion either.

What is it you do want to do?

The footstool is there to show you how much the terrarium looks like a footstool.
Micah 1:3-4
Look! The LORD is coming from His dwelling place; He comes down and treads on the heights of the earth! The mountains melt beneath Him and the valleys split apart, like wax before the fire, like water rushing down a slope!

Why isn't the sky on fire?
