Hi all...
I am looking for some advice for my daughter...
She is a new child in Christ , a believer for 3 months , she is 36 and I am just so thankful that God has called another one of my children...

Anyway...She has been invited to her friends gathering at the Catholic church for a holy communion , she asked me if should attend , but to be honest , I have no answer and do not want to guide her with my own thoughts...

Would it be ok if she went , if so , apart from taking communion herself , what else should she look out for , she is afraid that someone will pray over her , once again I need guidance also on this matter , and thank you in advance...xox...

Can my daughter who is Christian attend her friends daughters first holy communion , it is coming up soon and need to advice her , have tried to look online but nothing come up...xox...

As far as I know your Daughter would not be allowed to take Communion as a none Catholic and even if she was its not compulsory
anywhere including a Catholic Church

I see no reason why she should not go... I've been to a couple of RC masses, and a couple of Anglican services. I think that we can worship the Father wherever we are. I do not believe there are any "ordained" places for the church to gather to worship God.

As long as she is aware ahead of time what the obvious differences are, and is fairly firm in her belief and understanding, I don't think there should be any problem.

I would advise her not to attend a catholic mass.. Taking part in it would be a public statement of affirmation for the practice..

The only functions i will attend in non-Christian religions are weddings and funerals where it is common for people to attend who are not members of that religion..
