Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:9 KJV
We know there are seasons...tumultuous ones and peaceful one, exhilarating ones, stormy painful ones, and joyful liberating ones. I am learning a few things in this season that has me grinning so contently. One, find a caregiver and care for them...put them on the receiving end of that tender-loving care. Two, remember that Our Lord expects us to be strong, in Him, to be courageous for Him. He commands us to be satisfied and gratified with Him, not feeling less or uneasy as though God, Himself were not always present in our Lives.
I am not suggesting that we are to be void of any emotions that are uncomfortable. However, if pleasing Him pleases us, then we will, with intention, renew our eternal selfless thoughts and emotions towards His victory, more than in our temporary moments that cause us to lower our heads, to stomp our feet, to cross our hands and to pout with dismay. He is the healer and the lifter of our heads. He wants and expects our countenance strong in Him so we can be of good use.
When it seems that we are too weak for such things, and it will in the daunting seasons of ache, we can trust that His strength within will be perfected within. He will never, not EVER, stop being God, and He will always work on our behalf for His pleasure. How cool is that? He will show up and get us where He needs us to be.
Deep breath of Yahweh is always so invigorating!!!
