But the perfection is not because of me, is because of Jesus. He gave me his robe of righteousness. You see the difference?
(KJV) Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath
covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
To understand the degree of this “completely righteous”, take a look at three testimonies of Jesus righteousness from Peter, John, and Paul
1) Peter, a man of action, said in 1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth
2) John, a man of love, said in 1 John 3:5, You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.
3) Paul, a man of intellect, said in 2 Cor 5:21, For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
So when God sees me now, he sees me as one who did no sin, knew no sin, and in me there is no sin. And the best part about this is, its all a gift, from Jesus himself. Isn't the gospel of Grace wonderful?
