Essentially, what I mean is errors! I know there is some nit picking about insects, how many legs does something have and that kind of nonsense, but other than the prophesies that speak for themselves, I am talking about basic errors that could be pointed out and not be explained in a satisfactory manner to a real skeptic?

Well, although the Bible was not intended as a science book, and really should not be treated as such, its revelation may be considered accurate. One danger is that things are lost in translation, and another is that well-meaning scribes over the centuries did manage to make copying errors.
One's biases may lead one to believe that the Bible is erroneous about certain subjects, such as the age of the earth (there is ongoing debate on this issue among Christians). Perhaps if you identify specific passages and the issues that concern you, the discussion will be more fruitful.

Even in the worst conditions of translating languages, the WORDS of our God, Maker, Lord, King, Everlasting Father (Isaiah), Prince of Peace (Melchizedek was king of a city called Salem or PEACE) in the flesh known to us and the world as Yeshua...HIS WORDS are MISTAKE FREE!!
Actually, I belong to a senior center in Coatesville, Pa and I have become convicted that I should be sharing the good news with some of the seniors who in some cases, are in their ninety's. My idea is to try to base whatever I am led to say, I can back up with scripture? My concern is that I will get that old canard that the bible is just a bunch of stories and fables? I just want to make sure I am on solid ground when I propose that over the millennia that there have been no errors in the Bible?

In that case, are we saying that The inspired word of God/Yeshua AKA the bible are synonymous? I am assuming that the translators made a diligent effort to translate to the best of their ability? And yes, I know what it means to assume anything?

Yes, well as for solid ground the foundation is Christ, He is the cornerstone. If your Bible has the old and new testaments, its the Holy Bible. Holy meaning whole. Holy also means sinless.
For nitpickers, who might quibble over passages or versions -Check that your Bible doesnt have any words missing. Some versions cut it short or add stuff that isn't scripture. You can say scripture cannot be broken.. and every word from the mouth of God is pure.
The Bible is Gods word, it isnt fiction or made up fables.
As for seniors who may scoff at Gods word, always have an answer for the hope you have in you. The holy spirit will give you utterance. I would not worry about what mockers or skeptics say. You have assurance that God is dwelling in you and He will testify, the fact that you are alive and here and can speak about Jesus is your testimony, and they cant shut you up or deny your personal experience.

The Holy Spirit guided those that wrote it, and while there may be slight wording variation in the various revisions, there is no mistakes made, but rather possible misunderstanding by the reader.
Definitely. Any apparent error or discrepancy can be resolved by a closer examination of Scripture. And some astute writers have addressed this issue, and published books to give Christians assurance that the Bible is the Word of God.

Since You and I are discussing Yeshua, I would not be guestimating on my end of this, knowing that due to the Aramaic Gospel found and translated, that 90% of what we read in the Gospel now is accurate to specific words being used.
Difference being, back then, Koine Greek was very much like English today, the majority of the known world understands enough of it to get the gist of things. It's the Aramaic Gospel that is more accurate. But in general meanings, references, etc... the languages were translated good enough we know more than we probably should know of it.
G-d said in Isiah, Mat. 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:31, that heaven and earth will pass away, but His word will not.

If someone thinks something is wrong, how do you decide that? How do you decide some man was born of a virgin, died on a cross, rose on the third day, wet to heaven, and coming back....
How do you believe that, if you do not believe all of the Bible is correct; all of Scripture has a red thread running thru it.... ALL 66 BOOKS IS ABOUT Y-SHUA!!!!

I found that the OT told us to obey and law of Moses and the NT told us not to. Unless there was a logical explanation that meant that the God in control, the creation and everything could not be depended on and every human was in danger.
It took me months and even the study of three ancient history books to find out what was considered the law of Moses at each period of history to find the answer. In order to be sure of the history I was reading I carefully checked the background of each book's author.
My studies proved scripture to be correct, my understanding in error.
