This explanation does not recognise God is the creator and is not limited by His vessel or His message.
As cc demonstrates some call themselves saved yet have no desire to walk like Jesus or even understand
His heart and His ways.

It did strike me as odd at first when David loved thinking about Gods law and precepts. Until you realise
the law is there to keep people safe, to bring blessing, to anoint and uplift the poor and the down trodden,
to make a whole group know their responsibilities and exercise them

The gifts of the Spirit are a further working out of this very reality.
Those who want to limit God will always claim things are predictable, and controlled, and conform to
these methods and routes, when God choosing the wild man, the man of passion and inspiration to
upset the rules based conformists and shake it up. But those who hate being shaken, and want predictable
security will always complain. So it is with the people of the Spirit, they are like the wind, you hear it and
feel it but you do not know where it is going.

The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
John 3:8

So maybe ones desire for control indicates where ones heart is rooted.
I go by God's Word and not by your contrary feelings.

So what are you using to type your posts, if new knowledge ceased in about 55 AD? How are you even communicating in English?

Your reasoning is faulty... I'll follow up in a separate post.
Knowledge ceasing has to do with no new prophecies.

You do know there are like 6 words translated chariot in the O.T....and if you do not have an open mind with the word of God just disregard what I said...it will be a waste of time with your mind already made up!!!!!

The chariots of God are myriads, thousands upon thousands; The Lord is among them as at Sinai, in holiness.

King James Bible
The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place
What I saw was oblong with lighted windows all around the upper level. Two levels only and the lower level was longer. Nothing at the windows but light. No motor sounds, just a quiet whooshing. And was very low.

I've read too many stories. But, you've piqued my curiosity about the scriptures. So will check. I'm not that close minded by the way. I listen to Kat Kerr. If you know of her, you know what I mean.

Plus, am going to order the writing of Lester Sumrall. He wrote a booklet but I've never read it. Just heard a few things he said. Will read with the scriptures.

Maybe this should be private, but I do believe these are the latter days and we as Christians need to be informed. Alert too. Don't go to sleep.

Your argument (in bold) is refuted by the events of Acts 10, wherein Cornelius and the others spoke in tongues upon their salvation in the absence of any unsaved Jews.
We can talk more about that, but first let's discuss your downright denial of the scriptures I gave about tongues being for a sign.

Before moving on in this discussion, if you care about the truth, then deal with the fact that you went against scripture.

Have you ever wondered if you felt differently you would interpret the words differently?
Once you begin to see our experience and viewpoint predicts how some things will appear
one begins to understand things are not a certain as we might think. :)

It is why we need a pure heart, a praising mind and a clean conscience, so whatever the Lord
says to us we can truly respond in His will

I know about snake handling beliefs and i also know the only difference between you and them is a snake, otherwise the claims about your tongues are same. They use the same scripture verses to support their tongues as you do.

Like i said, you are in a loose - loose situation, whether you dismiss their tongues as fake, accept it as genuine or ignore like you are doing, we already know the answer.
This is not true. I watched that documentary. It looks like they go into some kind of hypnotic like state when they are readying themselves to pick up snakes.

God is wisdom. It's not wise to do this, nor have any of us been like these things I viewed on tv. I'd never be involved with this but hopefully if I got accidentally bit, outside by a coral snake which Florida has, I could shake it off in faith like Paul.

So quit asking this stupid question and stop trying to associate the things of Holy Spirit with superstitious actions.

Be filled yourself then you will know the difference.

The snake guys are nuts. Quite a few over the years have died from snake bites.
If they really followed their ideas you would allow the snakes to bite you and you would not die.
Only trouble is they would. So they are neither showing faith or victory, just they are crazy.

Paul was bitten by a snake and he did not die. But he did not seek it out, it was Gods timing and
provision.

If God opened our eyes. I think we would see a heavenly host above us, of not only angles. But demons.. in fact, left in our present state, like DC as a child. We would probably be so frieghtened, many may even die because their fear is so deep.
Amen......totally agree.....100%

Well, am going back on my decision to not post to you. Not a false prophet by the way. I'm not a prophet at all. 😉 Prophetic yes, not prophet.

Why are we in agreement here but not elsewhere?

By the way, to the man I have on ignore who is saying DC had a revelation, now in two different threads, A revelation is when one gets a word revealed or spoken to them. What DC had was not a revelation. What is up with people and all these lies or half truths to try to attack those who disagree with you. Man just tell what you believe and stik with it, if you have to lie about others is destroys your own testimony.

Also. We are representing God here, people come in and see this stuff going on, and it just gives of a bad light to the world. As they see us as just like them, not special people of God. Thngs will get heated yes, But lieing and attacking? We all need to look inside sometimes, If you say something that is wrong by mistake. Admit it..
Amen......I know what I write and never once said...

a. Had a revelation
b. Know for sure what it was
c. Cannot prove anything by it
d. Point to scripture over all experiences

Amazes me how one can go to seed on something not said and keep mouthing about it.....

That's the gift of discernment. Seeing them. What you saw Dcon, would scare me more than what I saw.

I've had angels come to me. The first one was a warrior type and scared me so bad I hit the floor shaking and wouldn't look. If he had spoken I would of died I think from fright. Was just newly born again.

Hearing the "tongues will cease" when revelation is written argument is so bad. TERRIBLE argument
I need a vomit bag im so sick of hearing it. IM SICK OF IT

stop using that argument its TRASH

It says when they cease. WHEN we see face to face. CLEARLY talking about the Lord coming back. NOT talking about a BOOK, the Bible is a collection of BOOKS, inspired by the Holy Spirit YES, but a BOOK does not have a FACE.

Furthermore: The Bible HAS NOT HELPED US ONE BIT in unity, there are thousands of different cults and opinions.

And KNOWLEDGE has not ceased, and Daniel specifically prophecies that in teh LAST DAYS KNOWLEDGE shall increase............................

Shut it down. If you dont speak in tongues thats fine. If you think everyone that does is crazy thats fine. But what you are trying to preach does NOT line up with the Bible.

Nothing about "perfect" being the Bible completed in 90AD that nobody had a complete version of until centuries later, the Bible that most people couldnt even READ back then.

What good is a bible if you CANT READ?

I cant remember who it was but someone here once said that it seems like we've gone from "Father, Son, Holy Spirit" to -> Father Son and Holy Bible.

Holy Spirit is completely left out of the picture! And according to some people, the devil has all the power to do all the signs and wonders, he is doing things constantly, yet God's spirit? naah. He aint doing nothing today.

Needless to say, i am SALTY:
This scripture tells us that tongues “will be stilled”:

1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Tongues did not stop during the time Jesus Christ, the Apostles and Prophets were laying down the foundation because the Apostles were still writing the scriptures. Imagine if tongues had stopped in the people who had the gift, others would erroneously believe that God also took salvation away from them, since the Jews believed God accepted Gentiles as was evident by their speaking in words of God in different languages.
However, tongues have since ceased. Jesus, the prophets and the apostles have laid the foundation; the Bible is finished. New prophecies and new knowledge have ceased also, just as the Bible says they would, for you know you cannot add new prophecies and new knowledge to the Bible.

As for the statement in 1 Corinthians 13:10, “but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears”, nowadays tongue speakers claim that tongue speaking will not cease until Jesus comes again. However, that scripture does not say tongues will not stop until Jesus comes again. That scripture is about Jesus coming the first time.

The prophets in the Old Testament prophesied about what was coming, and prophets in the New Testament prophesied about what came; prophesies from the past was being revealed.
This is what Paul says, “…where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.”

The perfect has come. When you only have prophesy in part (as in the Old Testament times), the prophecy has not yet been fulfilled, or more prophecy is needed, it is imperfect, it is imperfect because the prophesy is in “part” or not yet fulfilled. However, when there is fulfillment of prophecy and or more prophecy for what we need to know is given (as in the New Testament times), then we have full understanding; so then, it is perfect and, that which is perfect is come.

The Old Testament believers waited a long time for God to reveal Jesus to us, and now finally, from the Bible, we see that God has revealed Jesus, in the New Testament; the perfect has come.
The Bible has everything we need to know for salvation. It is perfect. The New Testament is the “perfect law” given to us, James 1:25. The apostles from the New Testament received all the truth we need to guide us to eternal life, and they wrote this down in the Scriptures: John 16:13; 2 Peter 1:3; Acts 20:20, 27; Matthew 28:20; I Corinthians 14:37; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17; Romans 16:25-27.

We do not need anyone's tongue speaking to know more things about God's Truth as once was needed, we have the Bible, and it is finished.

You had an entity revealed to you. That means an image or entity that most can't see on a regular basis.
You are using untruths to call me a liar and harass me.
I think something is wrong with you to be so slanderous to me and my revelations, and you are dishonest and vulgar.

According to the law that describes the tongues doctrine. What does the sign of tongues confirm and who is it directed at?

what law describes the tongues doctrine?

would have to be from the NT since that is where they started

if you think it's prophecy from the OT, there could be no law because laws are not prophec

so, which law in the NT?

now I need a question mark smiley...

Administering spirits that jump from hill to hill like they had literal clay feet? I don't think that is what those a parables represent.

Our struggles is not against, and neither is it supported by flesh and blood, the things seen .They are temporal. Not a tool for mixing faith.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eterna

I was having that discussion with Dcon last night...where do you get clay feet from or parable?

do you understand what the armor is for that is described in Ephesians? or do you see this also as a parable...

I really do not understand your conclusions here or why you would say those things
