I have been cut off from all of them. There is always help. Family, friends, coworkers, pastors, lay people, suicide hotlines.
If you commit suicide do you go to hell? What if you have failed at suicide then later die of natural causes?
No need to whack yourself....many here would help you, counsel you, etc....I have been cut off from all of them.
The Dictionary doesn't explain everything.

He knows our hearts and His mercy endures forever.
I have been cut off from all of them.
Why have you been cut off?I have been cut off from all of them.
No person can judge the value of another's pain. Help should be sought, but if all attempts at help prove absent, stymied, or useless then the sufferer is left with little choice - continue suffering or end the pain. Often the pain can be caused by the initial lack of such things in life. I tried to help my family, but when all I asked in return was a little respect and appreciation my family told me to go the he!! away. Same with work. Not everyone can take the meds, in my case every single one of them (including otc meds) caused my tinnitus to scream so loud it was unbearable (a known side effect of most of them). Too, counselors only talk to you because they are getting paid to, not because they care (been to many of them). And God - He too can be a source of pain, when He acts to stonewall stymie and make irrelevant every attempt you make to fulfill His charge.
Oh and if you are one of those who would tell the sufferer to think of the feelings of those being left behind - you are part of the problem. At that point you put your feelings above those of the sufferer - a situation that most likely contributed to the suffering.
Katherine, I feel your pain. Honestly all that keeps me from eating the shotgun at this point is the 99.999% certainty that like everything else I attempt to do, it will fail too. Perhaps that may be the biggest deterrent to suicide - knowing that yes, you are that big a loser.
See you in heaven!
If you commit suicide you will go to hell. I know because I wanted to kill myself but I kept praying about it and cried out to God for answers because I believe in Him. So I asked Him if you see my hurting and in all this pain and Im telling You I cant do this I need your help. The word of God tells us He will not give you more than you can handle so I cried out to tell Him its too much now and I need HELP. And He answered my prayer. He gave me psalms 30 for confirmation. And that psalms let me know in verse 3 that I would go down to the pit but he saved me from the grave. And it further says how ur blood cannot glorify God so His will is not for me to kill myself but to live and praise Him and glorify Him with His testimonies Hes doing in my life. If you read 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 this was scripture prior to getting healed. It showed me I would go to hell. And if that scripture isnt enough proof Jesus taught if you break one commandment you are guilty of all and the punishment for sin is death. Only Jesus can abolish that through His blood. But this is only accomplished by faith with works! James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?If you commit suicide do you go to hell? What if you have failed at suicide then later die of natural causes?
You do have a helper and available to every believer who asks...the holy spirit.
I strongly disagree with you. If you kill yourself you are defeated and you said it yourself we are conquerors we have victory in Christ Jesus. One whom kills himself is defeated. Another factor is that our body is the temple of the Most High our bodies do not belong to us 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 so how can we destroy Gods temple when we are to serve Christ. Only satan is here to kill steal and destroy. Suicide is the work of the devil and if we have not learned that even Judas who walked with God and betrayed Jesus is now resting in his own seperate place as referenced in Acts 1:25 so lets not give in to the false belief that if you believe you are a Christian you will be saved. Read 1 Peter 4:17-18Hello again Katherine,
Suicide is murder
Having said that, we must add that murder, suicide, or any other sin is not the deciding factor regarding salvation. A person's eternal security is determined by, and only by, their relationship to Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).
If a person who is unsaved commits suicide, they have simply sent themselves to eternal punishment faster than they would have gone had they died a natural death. Regardless, they will be in eternal separation only because they have rejected Christ, not because they have committed suicide.
But what if a Christian commits suicide?
The Bible says that when we are in Christ, our salvation is guaranteed because His Spirit dwells in us (2 Corinthians 5:5). That same Spirit is put into the hearts of all those who believe in Jesus Christ (John 3:16; 1 John 5:13).
The Bible also makes it quite clear in Romans 8:38-39 that nothing can separate a Christian from Christ's love, not even suicide. If no "created thing" can separate us from the love of God, as the verse says, then no person (not even our own selves) can separate us from His love by any act that we do including suicide.
A Christian should exhibit the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) & will be protected from sin as they abide in Christ (John 15:4).
However, if a Christian falls & commits the terrible sin of suicide, that sin would still be covered by Jesus' blood.
Christians are not immune to the despair that leads to suicide; the enemy is a great deceiver (John 8:44) who wants us to forget that victory is ours in Christ (John 16:33). Still, suicide is a very serious sin..
There is no circumstance which justifies a person, especially a Christian, to take his or her own life. We are supposed to die to self, not kill ourselves.
Sorrow over our sins or mistakes should lead us to repentance rather than self-harm so that we can be restored and not destroyed. It is God's heart to repair and restore that which is broken (Psalm 51:17; Isaiah 42:3; Matthew 12:20). Even when things look incredibly bleak and hopeless.
Moses murdered a soldier (we see him later on the Mt of Transfiguration) King David had Bathsheba's husband killed. Paul was the overseer of Stephen's & many other deaths. I'm pretty sure next to Jesus Himself. Paul is responsible for turning the most people to God.
Finally, there is only ONE unforgivable sin. Rejection of Gods grace found in the redemptive sin atoning sacrifice of Jesus the Christ = UNBELIEF.
