2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Mat 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
We will receive the Spirit when we realize the truth that we have to abstain from sins by the Spirit, and act Christlike, which many do not do that, but make excuses for their sins as if they are incapable of abstaining from sins, and then deny the power thereof allowing the Spirit to lead them, in favor of enjoying fleshy pleasures, and ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth for they interpret scriptures according to the flesh.
These people live in sin and think they are alright with God, and believe they cannot abstain from sins, even though the Bible says they can abstain from sins by the Spirit, but they deny the power thereof, the Spirit leading them.
Anybody that says they cannot abstain from sins, and sin does not affect their relationship with God, will hold unto sins, all the while thinking they are alright with God, but they deny the power thereof.
For we can only be led of the Spirit when we hate sins, and do not want sins, which people that say they cannot abstain from sins want to enjoy sins, hence the excuse they say.
How are you led of the Spirit if you say you cannot abstain from sins, for then you are enjoying sins.
But nobody twisted their arm to sin, and nobody forced them to sin, so they enjoyed the sin, and then want an excuse for the sin, when they could of chose the good.
