What part of a child of God can not continue in sin do people not understand?
what part of whoever lives in sin has NEVER SEEN GOD or KNOWN HIM do people not understand??

Was John a liar?
Do we trust the apostle John, who walked with Christ. Or these legalistic enemies of the cross. Who call John a liar?
Herein lies the problem of interpretation.
We can present our view, and then walk away.
In Christ it is up to each believer before God to listen to the Holy Spirit and walk as they
feel led. Once you start calling people "legalistic enemies" the Holy Spirit has left the room.

So you don't believe Jesus who says to REMAIN in him?

We are to remain in Jesus.

John 6:56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.

John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

John 15:9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

John 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

Acts 14:22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.

Galatians 2:5 We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

1 John 2:24 See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

Revelation 14:12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

So you do not believe in eternal life. That whoever calls on him will never hunger or thirst, Never die? And be risen? (See how you pulled one verse out of a passage out of context and ignore the rest of the passage?

Those who are saved DO remain in him

Face it, You can not attack yourself to the vine, Let alone keep yourself qattached to the vine..

You are too self focused man, No wonder you have not yet repented.

The interpretation of any passage is not up to us. My view is not truth just because it is my view. Again, This same person who has made this claim now under three names, seems to think as long as we think it is true, it is true.

Well that person was wrong the first two times, he is still wrong.

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
1 John 3:4-6

Knowing Jesus, repenting and coming to faith, for the first time we have a pure heart

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God
Matt 5:8

To dwell in Jesus is to know Him and walk in His love.
John is declaring to stay in Christ we will work through our life issues and avoid sinning.
He is then concluding if we continue in sin we declare spiritually we have not seen
or known Him. This is an interesting statement of purity and victory.
For those with hard hearts incapable of breaking free from the chains that bind them
impossible, so it must mean something else, or they are not believers.

So the interpretation of the words is driven only by our personal experience, unfortunately,
and therefore we cannot judge another for that which is true for them.

No he said those who obey him have been given the gift. (Descriptive)

He gives the gift to those who believe in him, , or those who call out to him, and those who confess him, not those who work. (See all the passages I posted)

If he gives it ONLY because people obey him, it was not a gift, it is a reward, or a wage

Again, You still refuse to acknowledge all the verses I posted. Whats wrong are you afraid?
You should stop changing what the Bible says.

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

John 14:23 Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

John 14:21 The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him."

Acts 10:35 but that in every nation those who fear Him and live good lives are acceptable to Him.

It would seem you have missed it again completely, but then I am not surprised.

Like I stated you do not preach a doctrine of salvation.

Since you uphold salvation can be lost, your obedience is one of legalism and self-effort, along with wrong motives to keep salvation.

You are attempting to be justified by the law (moral code included) by obedience so you contradict what Paul states here.

4You who are trying to be justified by the Law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5
Galatians 5:4

Like I stated earlier, the only one who can talk about sanctification in a meaningful way is the one who preaches that salvation cannot be forsaken or taken away.

There is no sanctification apart from justification and no one can possibly believe justification, according to scripture, is a temporary/changeable status.

Still waiting for you to demonstrate obedience waiting.gif

This is what I understand from what you've stated:

1. Jesus was speaking for 3 1/2 years about something He did not really mean.

2. Why? Because HE was under the law,,,,and now WE are not,,,so He didn't really know what the heck He was doing.

3. Since He was GOD,,, He should have been smart enough to know the truth would go through some kind of progression and ADJUST what He was saying...
geesh...He couldn't even do that? Why should we listen to Him at all???

4. So if we can't adhere to what Jesus said for our salvation...WHO are we supposed to listen to that could know more than HE did??? WHO understands the progression and can give us a new gospel that teaches us how to be saved?

I did not change what the bible said

1. The bible says in Eph 1 that the Holy spirit is given to those who hear the word. And then TRUST (BELIEF) THAT WORD. The HS is not just given to them, it is their pledge. And this is in the same passage where paul said we are not saved by WORKS BUT BY FAITH
2. John says that people who live in sin ( do nto obey him) have never seen or known God, Those who have been born of God can not live in sin (they obey God)
3. The passage you say is true. Since ALL who are saved by God OBEY HIM, then the HS is GIVEN to those WHO OBEY HIM. (Those who do not obey have NEVER SEEN OR KNOWN GOD) ( a descriptive passage proven by other aspects of scripture)

So try again dude. You keep failing, if you want

Oh and by the way.

I am still waiting, when are you going to prove I am wrong about these passages?

John 3: 16 (belief)

John 4: 14 (Drink spiritual water)

John 6: 27, 35, 37-40, 50-51, 54-58 (eat food, bread, drink flesh and eat blood (the word))

Acts 2: 21 9 (call out on name of Jesus)

Acts 16: 31. (Call out on name of Jesus)

Romans 5: 9 - 10 (By Blood)

Romans 10: 9, 13 (Confess and Believe Jesus)

Eph 1: 13 - 14 (after hearing word (gospel) Believe)

Eph 2: 5 - 10 (Faith alone)

2 Tim 1: 9 (Not by works, but by grace)

Titus 3: 5 (Not by good deeds but by Gods mercy)

Grace, love and mercy

The great thing about Jesus is He waits for us to see the truth.
He does not drum His feet or demand something, He says His part and waits for us to
listen.

If He did insist we would die. I love Jesus and His way.

"You believe at last!" Jesus answered.

I get the impression this is a marathon of quoting scripture which few have the time to keep
up with, so if its beneficial fine, but some contributors are just wasting time.

What they believe is totally coloured by their hearts and everything they have their version on beyond
sanity to the degree of denying what they type, which is extraordinary, until you see it.

Some people just do not get it. They do the very thing they judge others for doing.

Thats why it is such a waste responding to some people. Even after three tgimes comming in (2 time illegaly) they still do the same stuff.

For works that do not endure. Yes.. And they are burnt and all that is left is ashes.

Again with your strawman, it takes much more than just repenting from sins to bring a person to faith.
What?

This is the BEMA seat judgment, There will BE NO BELIEVERS AT THIS JUDGMENT SEAT.
Those saved who have to repent will experience some of God's wrath. They will suffer blows and wrath and they are the ones who can still repent.

Revelation 11:13 And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand were killed in the quake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Luke 12:47 "The servant who knows the master's will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.

I don't think you can since I gave the scriptures that plainly say we are to repent of sins.
We are to repent of sins.
This means we are to be sorry for our sins.

So how do you say what repent means?
I said from the beginning that "repent" is used incorrectly in our speech.
I also said I, and the other biblical scholars that know this, am not going to change how it's used.

Hell is also mentioned in the N.T....
but there's no such word as hell in Hebrew or Greek.
This isn't important...
Carry on.

Yup I am about to call it a day too!!!

I only respond to expose the non-Biblical teachings.

Hard to deal with their ongoing deception.

Yes, We know. You have no fathom or understanding of what the differnce between a “bema” judgment (1 cor) and a “great white throne” Judgment (rev)

I am not gonna do your homework for you.

No one has been saved UNTIL they repent first. One can not come to true faith in Christ until they repent. If one has not repented. They have yet to find faith in Christ.

Your too focused on how righteous you think you are. And not on what God says about you.. Until you figure this out. You will never know.

I just love your emoticons.
They're the best.

I don't preach a gospel of salvation.
You know what UG, do this:
Forget about catholicism and ready the Early Church Fathers.
Especially the ones that knew John....
Like Ignatius of Antioch
or Clement of Rome
Or Barnabas

You'd be pretty shocked to find out that everything I post was believed by them.
So .... who you gonna believe?
Those that knew Jesus....

Or those of today who have watered down what they believed?

Your choice.
Do what you will.

Luke 12:47 "The servant who knows the master's will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.
CONTEXT: "...when he will RETURN FROM the wedding..." (v.36-40), do you know what that means? It means when He steps onto the earth at His "RETURN" (Rev19). The vast majority of Jesus' parables in the gospels speak to Israel's "future"... (ALL "Son of man cometh/coming/shall come [etc]" passages, as here in this context [v.40], speak to THAT. His RETURN to the earth FOR the promised and prophesied EARTHLY Millennial Kingdom)

I mentioned this in a previous post (probably several pages back, by now), perhaps you missed it?

I agree with what you say above although I haven't seen the other's post.

However, would you agree that if I died TONIGHT,,,,that would be the end of the world for me and it would be when Jesus come for ME?

Jesus is saying to be ready always......
We could die at any moment.

You ARE being deceived UG.
But not by me....
It is my understanding that people who have been banned are not allowed to come back.

So how am I deceived?

I think people like EG, TT and dcon who have been here longer than me would know the policies of CC.
