Too many want to believe you earn your way to heaven. One prophecy about judgement time has people before Jesus proclaiming their works for him. He replies begone I never knew you. A true believer would proclaim the grace through faith in Jesus. Any mention of works would be as evidence of their faith.
Jesus did NOT say begone because He never knew them...in the sense that they were not saved...
He plainly states why He banished them....
They were LAWLESS.....They did not follow the Law.

Matthew 7:23
23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

Yes there is no neutral place here.
I myself will die upon this reality myself of what I believe the gospel is.

I have researched the Nazarene statement of faith.
I could not see a statement of faith on their website.
So looked at Wiki and others.

So not been able to get a full handle.

So here is my stance.

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Now with regards to Romans and Ephesians

I would say and have said to people I have come alongside.

This is not the end but the beginning.

A wonderful journey but at times hard.

Then discipleship is a must.
That does not mean just telling them to be like Jesus.
It's walking with them, encouraging them to be like Jesus.
But I will always seek and ask what is going on in their life.
Stuff that restricts our walk.

If there is an issue, like alcohol, gambling, gluttony, gossip and so on I would look for the cause of the affect.

I would never tell them to just stop doing it because you are a believer.

If they could just stop then they would not talk about it.

If we want to seek sinning less then we must understand why the person is stuck in a sin pattern.

Why does an alcoholic drink (and yes even believers can be alcoholics)?
Jesus came to bring healing. Yes Jesus calls for obedience but I believe he knows what can restrict that and wants to heal that.

I will post these verses

Romans 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

God works good in our life experiences. He doesn't make them good.
An alcoholic who drinks to dumb the pain of sexual abuse.
God does not that he makes the abuse good, but he promised to work good in it, the reason being

Romans 8:29
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

I am talking about real demons and not the people themselves. However, the demons do also live inside those who are in false denominations.

If a person wants to please God, they will not physically hurt another person for their beliefs.

You actually have similar beliefs as the Catholic Church so you really have not gone far from them

Anyone who does not believe what scripture plainly teaches in salvation apart from works, by grace alone through faith alone as an

irrevocable, permanent gift, given not earned, has one foot in Catholicism and has adopted a false narrative.
Amen to that......and even more skewed view by the "special knowledge that has been revealed unto him and few others".........

Is he ragging on the nazarines now?
I know someone who went to one of their churches. He was there for a long time. He said they had the same gospel we do, and he is a very honorable trustworthy guy, Unless they led him to think somethign that was not true. I believe him.

Tell your neighbors to get the Holy Bible and to look up Jesus' teachings in the New Testament and just believe and do what he says.

What does Jesus start off by saying?

Jesus starts off by saying to repent of your sins.

He also teaches to believe in him.

He teaches faith in him and how we are to be humble like good little children.
We use the word repent many times to mean that we are sorry for our sins.

This is not what it means,,,even though so many use it incorrectly that we have to accept it.

Repent means to change our mind...to turn and go the other way.
When we're born we are lost and walking toward satan.

Then we REPENT,,,turn around and go the other way...
NOW we are walking toward GOD.

Really, we repent only one time in our lives....maybe two even.
But NOT every time we sin.....

What happens when we sin is that we're sorry for our sin and confess our sin and it's forgiven.

Hi Bill,
I went to a Nazarene church for about 10 years.

Amen....simply means to change one's mind and agree with God.......
Have you?

I get the impression, from reading many of your posts, that you are just another self-righteous hypocrite who loves to hear his own pious platitudes.

Tell me: How many sins were not paid for by Christ? How many sins are attributed to us?
Do not forget my friend that he has had special knowledge revealed ubto him that only a FEW KNOW........he is like Barney.....SPECIAL

We have the Bible and it is finished.
To search for God is to get Jesus' teachings in the New Testament.
To find God is to obey Jesus' teachings.

There are too many denominations and we are not supposed to search for the best denomination!
Jesus is found from the 1st verse in Genesis to the last verse in Revelation pal.....and Christ is GOD!!!

Hey! THATS MY LINE! The Jehovah's FALSE witnesses! i thought i had the rights on that one? I'll let it slide this time. Next time i'll start using your "get your facts straight pal"

But on a serious note: You are right, his theology seems close to that of JWs. Atleast his plan of salvation atleast. Are even JWs as strict?

I fear for the new Christians, thats always my main concern. If you hear his laundrylist of things you have to do to get saved, you will get discouraged and possible if you hear the gospel for the first time, you see an overwhelming mountain in front of you and say "no thanks".
I dont know if any are here, but i bet there are people reading these forums who arent registered or dont necessarily post anything.

Oh, I see. I don't "care about Jesus" because I don't listen to you, huh?

You have no answers because you simply cannot defend your position, and that frustrates you.

And now you say I'm not a Christian?

You really are a piece of Pharisaic work. "Oh Lord, I thank Thee that I am not like these sinners...!"
Haahhahahaha no doubt.....I do this, I do that and thank "Gawwwd" I am not like that sinner Budman.........
