Jews know they have to repent of sins.
The Bible tells us plainly we have to repent of sins.
I just looked up the phrase "repent of sin" [this site shows also the plural form, etc]:

https://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksearch=repent+of+sin&qs_version=KJV

...and your other phrase you'd put in your post #92,958 [Page 4648], "die to sin" [2 pgs]:

https://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksearch=die+to+sin&qs_version=KJV

____________

I also looked up the following verse:

https://biblehub.com/text/romans/6-3.htm

Romans 6:3 -

"Or are you unaware that as many as have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?"

[this is not about "water baptism," by the way, for the readers]

I do not have to defend against something
that is just a word with no meaning.
Said as someone without a defense.

I compared your behaviour to non-christians accusing believers of Jesus not changing lives.
It is exactly the same. It is up to you and others to draw their own conclusions about
unbelief and cynicism.
Yeah, I drew it. Stevie Wonder could see what you're up to.

I am not Pharisee because I am not a legalist
You believe we must do works and be obedient in order to remain saved. That is the very definition of legalism and self-righteousness. You are relying on your own deeds, and not the finished work of Christ to keep you saved.

No matter how much flowery language you use to deny it.

You remind me of a kid having a temper tantrum and trying to hit as hard as they can, but just failing
totally and need to be put alone in a room to calm down.

You're about to take your ball and go home, aren't ya? ;)

Well now we know. Newsflash ....you nor has anyone stopped sinning.
That is not true. We can stop sinning. Isn't there anything that you ever gave up for Jesus? Did you stop holding a grudge against those who sinned against you? Did you stop fornicating and get married? Did you stop getting drunk, etc. NOTE: Not you personally.

Could you post the main points here of the links you want me to go to? Don't think I don't want to discuss what you brought up.

I think we acknowledge that a change of mind about sin is taught in scripture, the problem is there is no change of mind about sin until one is born again.

We cannot stop sinning by changing our mind about sin.

Still waiting for your answer. You said we have to stop sinning.

Have you stopped sinning?
Typical

They reject our view. That God demands perfection. Which we can not attain/ thus our need for grace

Yet demand that we have to be perfect

The Bible tells us plainly we have to repent of sins.
You will find believers, or they call themselves this who have no issue staying in sin and continuing
to sin. This is nothing new.

A brother in Christ had a friend, an alcoholic who had affairs yet claimed to be saved, lived his christian
life with as much enthusiasm as the next believer or so it appeared.

So you also get people who justify this theologically as well.
And their tactic is to say everyone who holds to walking like Jesus is a legalist pharisee.
The problem is in a nice legal society with middle class behaviour you can get away with this way of
life and think things carry on. When things get tough and lives are on the line, you soon learn people
just die and it is death to behave like this.

So they walk into hell believing they know Jesus, while lying to everyone else it is those who walk
like Jesus are the true deceivers. Not surprisingly such churches built on this foundation do not last
long.

So we stopped some sins, does that mean we stopped them all. And became sinless?

Are we not supposed to look after things of the spirit (love others) . Not how perfect we are (self centered)

How the heck can we change our mind about sins, and turn from them, BEFORE we are born again!!

You have to come to Christ with the understanding that YOU CAN'T turn from your sins and that's why you MUST have Him!

Trying to make yourself clean, with a NEW heart, to be right before God is EXACTLY what the Pharisees tried to do.
Can't you see that?
Of course we can change our minds about sinning before we are born again. It is the way to be born again.

Repent means so much more than just change our view about sin.. It goes deeper than this. Thats the part they can not understand, they think because they changed their mind about sin they repented. Well that is not all it is..

Sigh,
the bar is ...much, much, much, much, much, to the nth degree.... higher than this!!

Um, No. If this was all it took to be saved. So many more would be saved..Talk about easy believism!

Aim for perfection
2 cor 13:11

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect
Matt 5:48

God is calling us to perfection. It is obvious who is listening to God and who is not.

Dear Lord, open the eyes of your people to believe the impossible through the cross has been
made possible, and you can heal the hearts of those who would call out to you,
In Jesus Christs name, Amen.

This is so sad and true. I know many people who say they believe in Jesus and believe that they are saved, yet they live their lives as always.

At that site, it is just the verses containing the words/phrases you had supplied in your post (no commentary there).

It appears the part of my post that I had added after you [all] had grabbed my post, is missing, so I will add it here too:

And who thinks they are saved?

This does not mean we make it harder and say we must stop sinning first.

Those people have yet to repent. They are those who CLAIM to have faith only..

Do you think they were saved at any time in their past?
