I recently nearly died from pneumonia, and lost a ton of weight, and 8 inches from my waist. I decided to do everything I could to get healthier, and one of my exercise routines is plank. I never knew there were so many different types. I've done nine different plank exercises to date, and am looking forward to doing the most difficult ones.

Praise God ur recovering. When I was about 7 or 8 one nearly killed me too. Its hell
Before knee surgery I was into exercising a lot. Planks and different crunches were a part of it. Its very good when u do it right..which that is the hardest part lol
Good luck and fun

I have done one plank excerise in the past which happens to be the easiest one that part of my HIT workout.

All you have do put you elbow on the floor. Make sure to have ur back straight. Hold in it around 1 minutes.images.jpeg

I'm up to 66 seconds with this one.

I've been doing planks for nine days, so I'm a beginner-although the one in my other routine is more advanced. Todays planks were a straight-arm knee plank, a left and right side plank, a reverse plank, and a cobra stretch. Each is 20 or 30 seconds.

I suggest you excerise 3 or 4 times week. Along two day body rest. After all it important that your body should get some rest after working out.

It’s nice to know that you are recovering, friend. I’m sending prayers your way!

Yes, I love the plank exercise and the variations. Though I have a long way to go in terms of fitness, I can hold the basic plank for about 3 mins.

Thanks for your advice. My plank routine has me resting every sixth or seventh day.

I did a 30 second plank in my warm-up exercises this morning, then a 66 second plank in my core routine. I'll do my plank routine later.

For my plank routine, I did a straight arm plank for 40, a plank for 50, a knee plank for30; left and right side planks with arm raised for 15 and 15, and a cobra stretch for 30. number are seconds.

I am doing this everyday (morning and night) and I can hold my body in this position for 2 minutes and I notice that it strengthens my back and I don't experience back pain anymore 😊

Yes! It's awesome, isn't it? I had lower back pain for years from all the time I spent on concrete when I was a carpenter, and it's gone now!

This morning I did a plank for 50, left & right side planks with arm raised for 20 & 20, side planks left & right for 20 & 20, and cobra sretch for 40. A few minutes ago I did a plank for 66-in the middle of my core routine.

I like that the routines are different everyday-although I don't always like the increasing level of difficulty.

I did three sets of six plank exercises today. Plank for 60; left & right kneeling side planks for 25 each side; straight arm plank for 40; plank for 40; cobra stretch for 30.

I'm only doing two planks to for 30 & 70-because they're part of my core routine. Today's my day off for the plank routine. I realized that the cobra stretch isn't a plank. My legs are sore from walking last night.

I did a plank for 90 before bed last night. Today I did a 30 and a 50, straight arm knee plank for 40, left & right side planks for 25 each, a knee plank for 20, and a straight arm plank for 50.

Planks for 30, 45, & 60; knee plank for 40; straight arm knee plank for 40; kneeling side planks right & left for 30 each; a plank for 60, and a reverse plank for 30.

I did a lot of planks today, but too lazy to specify. Feel free to be in awe of how many planks I did!
