But then they're all taken back when statements are made that are incorrect and seem to make it be understood that it's God doing everything...we do nothing...but we get to go to heaven anyway....

I am not saying I have an opinion on this, this is my experience.
How do we know we are in Him? Because we obey and love the brothers and sisters in Christ.
This is what John is testifying to. Some may feel this is condemning if they do not feel like this.
My answer is go to Jesus, ask Him to show you and follow His leading.
Gods law is our heart beat, it is written in our hearts and minds when we come to Christ.
It is one of my earliest experiences, being surprised at Gods wisdom in the law.
On reading the old testament, I kept seeing a Lord of love and hope being rejected for
sin and greed. It was so so so sad.
Now it is not I judging someone, they are defining for themselves where they are in the spiritual
Kingdoms.
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven
If one literally hates Gods law, rebels and sins against it constantly, one does not want His kingdom
on earth or will rejoice in being in Heaven. This is just spiritual reality. They are not saved and do not
know the King.

You have to first become a child of God's to be an heir!
Do you think anyone can be an heir just because they say they believe?
Jesus tells us how to be an heir when he says to humble yourself as a child and repent of your sins.
When Jesus walked the earth he made his last will and testament. Wills must be followed exactly.

It's now 2:06 pm and I have things to do.
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is what we have been given. Within our very being, if we have been born from above, is the new nature of light. The image of God. Complete.
You GG want to please the Lord. Be filled with His Spirit for there is where His seed is planted. Seed of His Word. As we grow into Him, we learn how to resist our own way, and live out of His. All we need is given for godly living.
Some may not know this. But it's in the scriptures. His very being is planted in us. He grows up and the kingdom of God reigns!

I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.
Acts 26:20
Some have long shared that showing ones heart through ones deeds is wrong and evil, heretical
teaching. Here is Paul saying this is something all believers should do to prove they have
actually turned to God.
Sadly for lost souls, the word of God is not enough, which is why they are truly lost.

You are stubborn and refuse to hear what people say. I don't say this to be cruel. The 10 commandments are in the seed for Jesus is the living Torah walking on earth. A new heart is completed in our spirit. Our soul and a renewal of mind then begins the process of being saved.
So we are naturally supernatural in life and His life does flow from our being.....in Him.
Another reason why the gifts are so important. The prophetic flows in revelations of truth even though the speaker may not yet have the understanding to teach. This is prophecy I am speaking of. So all are taught. Even the one who was used for it's not by might, nor by power but by His Spirit saith the Lord.
This is inside out. The old Covenant had prophets too that spoke the will of God but was never from within. Upon. There is your difference.

Oh wow, you have been deceived, for how do you ever get that obeying Jesus will ever lead anyone to death?!
You need to pray for yourself. You hinder people from getting saved by saying to obey Jesus is to trample his blood. Jesus wants us to do his works for us.
You are badly mistaken. We are to go to the cross and repent of our sins and have faith that Jesus' shed blood washes away our sins.

Ezekiel 18:31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel?

Oy vey!
Im one of these devils that read the law and feel condemned. Because I feel like im never good enough no matter how much I try, its like fixing a house where you fix the stairs and the porch starts falling off, you fix the porch and the roof starts leaking!
You combine that with Jesus saying: My yoke is EASY and burden is LIGHT. John says the same thing, that His commands are not grievous. WHAT? Which commandments would those be? I know im extra wicked and come from an extra wicked background, BUT can someone please tell me which command is easy, or light or not grievous? Love your neighbor? Good luck with the kind of neighbors I got!
I have heard all the comforting sermons and people have told me online and offline that nobody can obey what Jesus said and I get that, but why bother giving us useless commands if we cant even follow them? Just to set a standard so we can always feel terrible not fulfilling it and that'll cause us to lean on God's grace? That doesnt sound like something Jesus had in mind because: My yoke is EASY, burden is LIGHT, Commands are NOT grievous.
Can someone unpack this for me? I have heard a thousand sermons on it, ive had a thousand and one people tell it to me, but it just doesnt match the EASY, not grievous parts!

I have been on here 6 yrs and I have never heard ANY true believer in Christ, and HIS finished work, say or intimate such nonsense.
What I HAVE heard, praise God, is a staunch defense, & unashamed proclamation, of THE One True Gospel unto Salvation.
What so many like this poster has attempted to do is say that because we say it is SOLELY by the Blood of Christ that we are saved, and that there is NOTHING we can do to add or help to what He has done, and become a Co-savior with Him, and to try and do such a thing is indeed trampling on His Blood, that we are teaching "we can live any way we want".
Paul says this about such:

8 And why not say, “Let us do evil that good may come”?—as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their [a]condemnation is just.
