I was remembering the disciplining scriptures.
I have to correct something I just saw wrong in one of my posts that we were discussing. Scourging does mean whip.

But, I was speaking of babes and toddlers learning to walk. Not the young men or fathers. Speaking out of one of the books of John.

Aren't we all capable of getting disciplined?

John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.

That scripture is about how we must be washed of our sins by the Spirit.
It is about having to repent of our sins and have faith that Jesus' blood washes away our sins.
Where does it state to "repent of our sins" in scripture?

Dear Heavenly Father’

Forgive us. Touch every heart of every poster on this thread to diligently seek Your Truth and fervently love Your Truth.

Do not let any pride or anger blind us to Your Truth.....You resist the proud and give grace to the humble.

Humble us, Father because You love us. We want to know You, love You and worship You in spirit and truth.

Thank You for sending Your Word wrapped in flesh with the indwelling of Your Holy Spirit - both united in power, authority and purpose focused on accomplishing Your Will for us and in us.

Father, through the body and blood of Your spotless Lamb, You have saved us from our sins and given us His Righteousness. The Lord, our Righteousness.

By faith, we receive Your gift of salvation for us. We bow and give You all the glory, honor and praise for Your loving kindness toward us.

Help us to trust and put all our faith and confidence in only ALL the works of righteousness that Christ alone has done and finished for each and everyone of us in His Body and with His Blood, in the Name of Yeshua/Jesus, amen.

Why would anyone get banned for preaching what Jesus says?

You WITHOUT MEANING TO, preach a false doctrine, because you have not learned the proper interpretation. Remember this, any time you think you have found a Contradiction, YOU HAVE MADE A MISTAKE IN ONE OR BOTH VERSES. THERE ARE NO CONTRADICTIONS IN THE BIBLE, WHEN YOU HAVE INTERPRETED IT CORRECTLY.

Here it is:

Isaiah 59:20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the Lord.

You only needed one, but I give you more:

Luke 17:4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

Luke 24:47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Revelation 9:20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft.

Jeremiah 8:6 I have listened attentively, but they do not say what is right. None of them repent of their wickedness, saying, “What have I done?” Each pursues their own course like a horse charging into battle.

Ezekiel 18:30 “Therefore, you Israelites, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.

Revelation 16:11 and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

Revelation 16:10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony because of their sufferings and because of their sores, but nevertheless they still refused to repent of their deeds.

Acts 8:32 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

2 Corinthians 12:21 I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged.

Well yes, but He doesn't whip a babe or toddler. At least if whip and scourge mean the same.

Would you? We might spank a toddler but not scourge.

I would think the Word is enough to straighten out our thinking.

But, apparently not.

What I see GG101 doing is to take a verse out of a chapter and speak on it without considering the whole of the text.

If we capture the error, then correct it with truth, perhaps it would be more beneficial for understanding.

Forgive me GG for talking about you behind your back so to speak.

I am the one who says the scriptures do NOT contradict!

You should be more careful about what you claim others say.

Give the quote of my saying scripture contradicts itself!

I am the one who says we have to have faith that Jesus' shed blood on the cross washes away the sins we repent of doing. That is the gospel truth.

We don't have to learn another language and we don't have to read books by Mr. Strong.
When I put "allo" and "heteron" [the distinct words in verses six and seven] I was asking you if those two words are the same identical word. Your answer is "yes". Got it. I see your viewpoint, thanks. :)

I am not interested in learning Greek. Don't know how you got that was reading your Greek and answering according to it.

You are WRONG AGAIN.

Ephesians 4:11-14 (HCSB)
11 And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,
12 for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,
13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, ⌊growing⌋ into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.
14 Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.

Well, I know that people died after getting drunk and not caring if the poor had anything to eat when their was a get together.

Where does that say we have to learn another language?
God had people speak in tongues and had people understand in their own language.
