I see, so your just wanting to stay away from discussing the truth of the scriptures and just argue your opinion.

I won’t waste anymore of my time with your opinionated nonsense.

At this point the region of Samaria believed the Gospel message and was baptized by Phillip with water baptism.

They had not yet received the Holy Spirit.

  • they sent Peter and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.
  • For as yet He had fallen upon none of them.
  • They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
  • Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:14-17

nonsense, thats a good one.
not one example of this until the early 1900s and not one example of this angel language outside of Paul. your basing your whole religion on one sentence, a controversial sentence, a sentence out of context (the context is love not angel language) a sentence that can not be backed up with scripture, Jesus doesnt teach it, the 12 dont teach it, the Father doesnt teach it, no prophet ever taught it. and further more we have many many many examples of angels in scripture, and they speak our language. thats a lot of cold hard facts, hard to believe so many ignore all that.

You can receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit like Acts 10, without people laying hands on you.

  • Then Peter answered, “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.
Then Peter answered, “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days. Acts 10:44-48

Evidence of Speaking in Tongues in the Early Church

Historical evidence of speaking in tongues in the early church from the writings of Eusebius, Irenaeus, Chrysostom of Constantinople, and Augustine of Hippo…
A.D. 33 - The day of Pentecost:
"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place... And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." ACTS 2:1-4
A.D. 41 - At Caesarea:
"While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word... For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God." ACTS 10:44-46
A.D. 54 - At Ephesus:
"And it came to pass that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost... And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came upon them: and they spoke with tongues and prophesied." ACTS 19:1-6
A.D. - At Corinth:
"Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of Spiritual gifts, see that ye may excel to the edifying of the church... Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret... I thank my God that I (Paul) speak with tongues more than ye all."1 CORINTHIANS 14:12-18
A.D. 100 - Eusebius (Church Historian):
Writing to the preaching evangelists who were yet living, Eusebius says: "Of those that flourished in these times, Quadratus is said to have been distinguished for his prophetical gifts. There were many others, also, noted in these times who held rank in the apostolic succession... the Holy Spirit also wrought many wonders as yet through them, so that as the Gospel was heard, men in crowds voluntarily and eagerly embraced the true faith with their whole minds."
A.D. 115-202 - Irenaeus:
Irenaeus was a pupil of Polycarp, who was a disciple of the apostle John. He wrote in his book "Against Heresies", Book V, vi.: "In like manner do we also hear many brethren in the church who possess prophetic gifts, and who through the Spirit speak all kinds of languages, and bring to light, for the general benefit, the hidden things of men and declare the mysteries of God, who also the apostles term spiritual."
A.D. 300 - The Early Martyrs:
The early martyrs enjoyed these gifts. Dean Ferrar, in his book "Darkness to Dawn" states: "Even for the minutest allusions and particulars I have contemporary authority." He refers to the persecuted Christians in Rome singing and speaking in unknown tongues.
A.D. 390 - Chrysostom of Constantinople:
Chrysostom, Bishop of Constantinople, writes: "Whoever was baptised in apostolic days, he straightway spoke with tongues, for since on their coming over from idols, without any clear knowledge or training in the Scriptures, they at once received the Spirit, not that they saw the Spirit, for He is invisible, but God's grace bestowed some sensible proof of His energy, and one straightway spoke in the Persian language, another in the Roman, another in the Indian, another in some other tongues, and this made manifest to them that were without that it was the Spirit in the very person speaking. Wherefore the apostle calls it the manifestation of the Spirit which is given to every man to profit withal."
A.D. 400 - Augustine of Hippo:
Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, one of the four great fathers of the Latin Church and considered the greatest of them all: "We still do what the apostles did when they laid hands on the Samaritans and called down the Holy Spirit on them in the laying-on of hands. It is expected that converts should speak with new tongues."
"THIS IS THAT..."
"But Peter... lifted up his voice and said: This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; and it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh."ACTS 2:16-17
What is "this"? This is what happened in the upper room on that first Pentecostal Sunday:
  1. The fire of God appeared.
  2. The sound of God's Spirit was heard.
  3. They were all filled.
  4. They all spoke in tongues.
What is "that"? That, said Peter, is what has caused this - namely, the Spirit of God poured out as promised.
Not a word from the Old or New Testaments suggests that this outpouring would be limited to one day. Bible teaching is to the contrary:
  1. The experience was for all (JOEL 2:28).
  2. Tongues was to be the sign (See MARK 16:17; ISAIAH 28:11-12; 1 CORINTHIANS 14:21).
  3. The experience was seen and heard (ACTS 2:33).
  4. It was continued throughout all generations (ACTS 2:39).
Why "this" is "that"? This is that simply because the Holy Spirit was identified with the experience of tongues. Take this scriptural confirmation away and we indulge in guesswork of the most dangerous nature. Whether in the house of Cornelius (ACTS 10:44), or at Ephesus (ACTS 19), the lack of THIS would have frustrated the receiving of THAT - namely the wonderful and satisfying gift of the Holy Spirit, with tongues.

Yes you receive when born again.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, is when you are filled and given power.

This is the next step for you.

God wants to give you power.

It is interesting that you cant find this teaching not in any epistel to the church, nor in the entire churchhistory till the beginning of the pentecostal movement in 1900.
Also you cant find any teaching in the epistels, that the filling with the holy spirit is connectet with the gift of speaking in tongues.
According your view, only pentecostals and charismatics are empowered with the Holy Spirit.
That means all others are lacking the real christianity.
Why then so much false teachings are be found among charismatics and pentecostals.

Strange that such christians have f.e. no problems to defend and support the doctrines of the RCC.

I really search the truth, but nobody is able to proof from the scripture that this teaching about the Holy Spirit is right.
Do you wonder that I cant believe such a man made false doctrine?

The reports in acts 2, 8 10 ore 19 you can also see as an one time report to show the jews(2) that gentiles ( 10), Samarians (8) and the disciples of John (19) are benefit from the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nothing more.
You create from this events that a christian receive 2 baptism with the Holy Spirit.
This is not taught and mention in any NT epistel.
But we should expect such an important issue taught, if i am not wrong.
But it is not taught, and so far is it a man made doctrineit
And maby empowered through a false Spirit.

and not one of these are angel languages.
some of these have nothing to do with tongues at all:
A.D. 100 - Eusebius (Church Historian)
Writing to the preaching evangelists who were yet living, Eusebius says: "Of those that flourished in these times, Quadratus is said to have been distinguished for his prophetical gifts. ???

so again, where is the example of the angel language? these are just unknown languages, most likely of this earth, you know, the ones that cant be faked.

I am so very thankful and humbled that God has given me his Holy Spirit and that daily and often I can pray
in the tongues of men and of angels.
Power, miracles, healings, blessings, overcoming many tribulations …
knowledge, discerning of spirits, faith, healing and working of miracles are all in my walk and of my testimony to being a disciple
of Christ Jesus and the full gospel of salvation.

Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”

Brother this is a New Testament teaching from the Bible.

  • for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:4-8

the pentecostal movement of 1900 are the only ones to think it had to do with speaking in angel languages.

Here is the problem with the WHOLE charismatic movement in a nutshell.

The Gospel relegated to a tiny footnote at the end of a post, and experience and "gifts" elevated higher than our Lord.

here is one of the things that never made sense. all the spiritual gifts have a purpose.
prophesy - your shown the future
healing - lay on hands and heal.
Exhortation - encourage others to love and do good works.
tongues - (language of this world) talk to those you couldnt talk to before.
tongues - (angel/spirit language) - and this is used for what exactly? talk to angels, no they can communicate with us just fine as the bible teaches, talk to the Lord, again, He understands us just fine in our common language. there seems to be no purpose at all for it.

Yeah, there doesn't need to be an angel language. Charlie talked to them just fine on a special phone.

To whom Jesus spoke in acts 1, 4-8?

You ignoring just the facts.
And you do not taking away my doubts. In opposite!
You taking just passages out of the context and are not able and show where your view is taught. In the NT churches.

I agree that we receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit upon conversion.
But that is NOT the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. The Baptism with the Holy Spirit is tied to the outpouring at Pentecost.

Acts 1:4-5
On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
