I noticed, taking vco testimony, point scoring about reflecting Gods glory by action from
us or action from God only creates distraction from fellowship and sharing.

So saying to almost everything, you deceiver works salvationist etc is just wasted propoganda......
Ever hear of just sharing the work God is actually doing in our lives, is actually more real .......

We will believe/obey His Word. It's His work within us to bring us to this. Not self.
We will believe, obey His word.
Good.

It's the work of the Holy Spirit to help us live our life for God.
But it also IS self....why is this so difficult to understand...
why is it taking glory away from God?

God is happy when we, of our own choice, with the help of the Holy Spirit, go ahead and choose NOT to sin....to DO something good....to follow Him.

Don't you see????
If it's God doing everything in us....then is it HIM when we sin?
Did HE fail?

-------------------

Say you have child....you tell him not to go near the street.
Are you happier if he listens to you
or
Are you happier that you have to take his hand and pull him away?

I'd go with the first....because if it's HIS choice...you won't have to worry so much that he'll wander into the street.....if YOU have to pull him away....then he'll fall into danger...

Like when we sin and you say it's God doing for us...so does He make us sin?

Can we say that the Holy Spirit encourages us and helps us to NOT SIN?
Can we say that we still have a free will and we CHOOSE NOT TO SIN?

And if we choose not to sin...how does that take away from God??
I think THAT give Him the glory!

By your doctrine you prove that you reject the truth while believing and peddling a Catholic twist false gospel.....and your right...we cannot have a good convo because you twist, embellish and deny the word of God while being dishonest and deceptive at the same time.....How can I take a previously banned member serious when you peddle obedience to remain saved and yet you break the rules everytime you post in CC......
Will you stop with this banned member already.
Don't you have something a bit better to state?

Let's see, you're accusing me of being a sinner....

Great.

So YOU are so perfect that you could condemn me?

WHO is the fruit inspector here?

Come back when you're perfect and we'll talk.

VCO,

Is not our God amazing?
He sure is.

Your above testimony has bought a joy to my heart.

Our Father promised to work good in all things.
He did not say they he would make all bad things in us or that we have suffered good but that he would work good in such things.

Romans 8:28-30
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Most people focus only read V28.
They ask questions like "Well if God really loves me why did this happen, why do I still suffer this and so on, how can he work good in this?

The focus becomes self and not what God is doing to prepare us to be conformed to the image of Jesus.

How could you walk with people if you have not been through it?
You/we can't because we would be no good at all.

I thank God for the nasties of life.
That may sound weird but it's my reality.

I got to the stage that when I went to bed at night I cried myself to sleep asking God to kill me, not to wake up in the morning.

As he worked in me (long process 22 years) I woke up one morning and said to myself "Ok I have woken up and therefore there must be a purpose"

So I prayed "Ok God you ain't killed me in the night, therefore I must have a purpose, what is it and help me accept it and give me the strength to walk in it"

I'm not saying my life is perfect and that I don't struggle but like you he is using me to help others.

I would encourage anyone on here struggles, can't make sense of life, who has hurts of the past that bind you. There is hope.

If you wake up tomorrow there is a purpose.
That purpose is you.
Don't shrink back to the norm you walk in because it what's you know.

The Father wants to work good in the crap in our life, bring healing and break the chains.

To conform us to the image of Jesus to help others.

Do not be frightened, it's easier to hug the comfort blanket of what we are used to than not know what the new comfort blanket God will give us.

If you wake up tomorrow then thank God, ask the purpose and ask him to lead you.
He promised to do that.

Here are some of the details that I did not fill in my Testimony. YES, "all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

I agree with you....
Just want to say that I do believe it's important to understand that we are not puppets in God's hands.

If we give Him all the credit because somehow He works in us (which He does..this is a little complicated)

THEN

We have to accept that when we fail...it's really God failing and He NEVER FAILS.

Would you agree?
Do you understand what I'm saying?

See. Your theology is so mixed up,,,,I have no words.

you said above:
all we do is bear the fruit....
exactly why Works/fruit bearing does not save or keep saved.....

Excellent!
As jesus said,,,if we're attached to the vine, we will bear good fruit.

SO.... if we DO NOT bear good fruit...it means we have detached from the vine.....

If we're detached from the vine....we are like dead branches that are gathered up and burned.

John 15:5-6
5
“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
6“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.

Frustrating, isn't it?

I'd say you have more serious things to consider than my membership here.

For instance... how does your behavior make God shine???
(since it's HIM who does everything for you).

I see our local RUDENESS spreader, just keeps on spreading it.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (CSBBible)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant,
5 is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs.

And if we bear bad fruit?
What's bad fruit?

Jesus said a bad tree will bear bad fruit....
A good tree will bear good fruit...
JESUS said this...not me.

We don't have to talk in analogies....it's confusing enough.

Let's define fruit.

Galatians 5:22-25
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

A believer who at any point who does not manifest the above fruit. Notice at any time and not all the time.

Is that no fruit or bad fruit?

Fran

My differ with you is what everyone else is saying. You use the words must, should which makes grace law. It also brings condemnation which the Word states we have none for those who walk in Spirit. If we are Spirit, which Paul declares we are, then as we live, and move...we have our being in Him. We are His and He's give us the Teacher, the Comforter, our companion within and alongside to teach, guide, and even chastise as we grow in grace and knowledge.

This is not legalism. This is truth. Whether we have experience the new birth or the baptism of Spirit and fire...we are His. All on equal footing in Him, but rewards will be individual.

It's not about works that we do. It's always and will be forever His works and we exalt Him for paying this awesome, but so dreadful price He paid that we might live with Father too, forever.

The Cross and the truth draws. Not law. Though that might draw those who are all about the outer look.
I saw this by mistake....you didn't tag me.

Who believes in legalism?
I've been told on this very thread that I'm going to hell many times.
I've been told I'm a sinner.
I'd say THAT is legalism.
Those that call some of us here fruit inspectors, sure do a lot of fruit inspecting.

You can't change your relationship with God by one word: MUST.
I'm not saying this anymore....God does not make requests...HE DEMANDS.

If we don't want to adhere to His demands...well, I don't know what that means.
I guess it means we don't love Him enough.
I'm not listing those obedience works deeds verses again.

The dreadful price was paid to free us from the bondage of sin to satan.
If we're freed from it , then we will be serving God.
If we're serving God...then we must do as HE wishes.

You're an intelligent person...
I can't express myself any other way...
You are blessed by God.

I've posted the above at least 5X in two days.
Why?
Because some on this thread show NONE of the fruit. Or maybe one, by mistake.

So, I'm not sure what you're asking...and you should know my position on this by now.

We should have love in us.
Joy.
Peace.
etc.

mostly all the time...
Not always....I think we're still human even when we're Christian.

This could be read the wrong way. What I am saying lets us testify to how the Lord is working in
our lives, because that is real rather than disputing about interpretations to theology.

Testimony of what God is doing matter 100% more than mans speculation about how it works out.
I noticed post after post just repeating the same old your not honest etc. rather than facing the truth
of God moving.
