This comment is rather interesting since it was Augustine that came up with the idea of O.S....
or I should say made it a doctrine and confirmed it so that ALL OF CHRISTIANDOM accepted it.
Only the calvinists, psuedo calvinists and the other daughters of Rome.

The Apostle Paul uses it in the correct sense in the scripture. We are not children of wrath by birth. We are children of wrath because of voluntary wickedness. This is evident from the context of Ephesians 2:3

e.g. is right, most of us are NOT true Calvinist. I only believe in 3 points of the 5 points of Calvinism. In other words, Calvinism will not claim me because of the 2 points that I disagree with, and Armenianism will not claim me because of the 3 points that I do agree with. SO WHAT DO THEY CALL ME ? ? ? Just an ordinary Christian, who believes in studying the WORD. I LIKE it, there is NO Title that fits.

NOW let me ask you a question. DO YOU BELIEVE A CHRISTIAN SHOULD BEND TO THE WILL OF GOD ? ? ?

NOW if you choose to Bend to the will of GOD, was it YOU, or the HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU, that put that thought in your HEAD ? ? ?

Do you not know that once you are BORN AGAIN, your human spirit is totally in line with the WILL OF GOD, because of the eternal life that your human spirit possesses, and your human spirit can THINK TOO ? ? ?

Romans 7:15 (CSBBible)
15 For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not practice what I want to do, but I do what I hate.

NOTICE, that Paul points out the difference between the Carnal Mind, and the Spiritual mind.

Now that we are BORN AGAIN, we have a HELPER, that we can depend on. But your statement in red above, Reeks from pride, I DO NOT WANT HELP, I CAN DO IT MYSELF.

Psalm 30:10 (HCSB)
10 LORD, listen and be gracious to me; LORD, be my helper.

Psalm 46:1 (HCSB)
1 God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.

Psalm 54:4 (HCSB)
4 God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my life.

John 15:26 (ESV)
26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

John 16:7 (ESV)
7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

John 14:26-27 (ESV)
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

NOW LOOK AT THESE VERSES:

Isaiah 43:12 (NCV)
12 I myself have spoken to you, saved you, and told you these things. It was not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses, and I am God,“ says the LORD.

Hebrews 13:6 (ESV)
6 So we can confidently say,The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Isaiah 46:10-11 (HCSB)
10 I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: My plan will take place, and I will do all My will.
11 I call a bird of prey from the east, a man for My purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken; so I will also bring it about. I have planned it; I will also do it.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

CAN YOU, after you are BORN AGAIN, make a decision in your spiritual mind, that is CONTRARY TO THE WILL OF GOD ? ? ?

I THINK NOT! And as you MATURE Spiritually, your Spiritual Mind will Dominate the Mind of the Flesh.

NO, that does not mean I think we can be sinless, but the Dominate Nature of the Human Spirit will be the WILL OF GOD.

And when we do sin, we will automatically go to 1 John 1:9 and confess it is SIN.

I have misunderstood nothing, you very clearly wrote....

Then shall we sin more so that grace may abound more?

The inner preverted logic of this statement is exactly this, "shall we do evil so that good will come?"
Your mentor,,, Dcon,,,,always insists on CONTEXT.

Did you get the CONTEXT of that statement?
Apparently NOT.

Please don't forget to reply to my post no. 89,655.
Where you supposedly debunked me.

Or apologize because this is truly tiring.

I've been sitting here reading this thread, and what is truly tiring is seeing you claiming repeatedly that your posts aren't being answered, and seeing those such as gb9, SOF, UG answering you over and over again.

Your problem is you don't like the answers, and try to get the heat off you by throwing fits over Greek.

You don't want answers, Fran. You want to lecture. Your ego won't allow you to accept an answer that doesn't comply with your preconceived notions.

You demand evidence that you were debunked, and when provided, you claim ignorance. Like when I proved you a liar when you said you didn't put people on ignore, by claiming you didn't know what "into the iggy bin you go" meant when you posted it to me - which is absolutely laughable.

Or when I took you to school regarding Roman Catholicism and you dismissed what I posted straight from the Catechism and Church Canon, and you dismissed all of it by saying I didn't understand what I posted.

You are a deceptive hypocrite.

Oh I know the context very well....you do realize that that question in Romans 6:1 is coming from people that want to argue that their righteous standing before God is based on their behaviour?

Why, because they believe there is a limit to grace.

Your question is from a grace antagonist.

Do you think we should be called sinners even though we're saved?

I had told you I changed my mind about this and I don't believe we should.
why? Because we're new creatures in the Lord.

A sinner is a person who is separated from Christ.
A person who is not born again and does not know God.

Tell it to Paul when he said, "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." (1 Timothy 1:15)

Notice he said "I AM" not "I WAS"

Paul called himself a sinner, and confirmed that in Romans 7:14-25.

Was Paul a Christian when he wrote that? Was he separated from God? Was he not born again?

It's like talking to a child who puts fingers in their ears when they don't like what's being said and yells: "nyaaaaa, nyaaaaaa, nyaaaa!"

WOW!!! you think its condescending when someone tells me it wasn't Jesus talking and i merely point out that it was words written in red, you know a lot of people read there bible on a phone or computer that doesn't have that option and might not know.

i wasn't attacking nobody's punctuation.........
No what I saw as condescending was

If you have a red letter Bible you may notice the words of Jesus in red...
All believers who have a red letter Bible will know that the words on red are the words of Jesus.

I subsequently see that NNM, missed the verse you quoted.

Interesting proposition.

I do prefer debates, because the speaker holds the whole argument they present.
It is up to the listeners to agree or disagree, rather than dispute who said this or that.

I setup a society where 15 minutes were given to a proposition about anything, and then people
put their points of view on the subject. It worked well, because you said your piece and that was it.

Saying things like liar, deceptive hypocrite is not helpful. But hey, this is just my take on what works
and what does not. But maybe verbal matches are the way you go

I have many mentors here:):)....along with @dcontroversal we can include @TruthTalk, @mailmandan, @Rosemaryx, @stonesoffire @NoNameMcgee @eternally-gratefull @VCO @Magenta @BillG @PennEd @gb9 @Budman and others who know scripture teaches the only truth of complete 100 % justification, reconciliation, redemption, propitiation and sanctification.

We may disagree on other smaller points of doctrine but we never waver on the Truth of complete irrevocable salvation, a gift to those who have believed on Christ Jesus for it.

What I cannot understand with all your knowledge of scripture how you can miss this Main Event????

Include yourself in that stellar list of mentors, not only to me, but to so many others here. You have a surgical knack of getting right to the bone of an issue. In one sentence, you can say more than most who post a whole pageful.

We are truly blessed to have you here.

Not sure what happened, but this is a response to GG asking if I don't have my own definition.

It's speaking of nations which WILL be judged.

But if you notice...Jesus is also speaking to us individually.
And also, if you notice, both groups of persons were SURPRISED at how they were judged.
If you keep teaching works then you might be there. Not saying will be but I wouldn't want to test the Lord.

Am going to post some Hebrew translation.
