Oh yeah!
I agree with you on that.
The exact words "you are going to hell" don't even have to be said.
It could be that I will be with the plentious (not from you)
or some other such words.
It should not even be hinted by a Christian that another Christian can go to hell, or however you want to word it.

People have asked me to post direct scripture and I did.
Did I get an apology?
No. Not even a confirmation.

So you expect me to go back pages and pages to find where you told me this?
You've told me plenty of mean things and have not treated my like a sister in Christ that disagrees with your doctrine. You've treated me as an enemy and tax gatherer and this is wrong.
You don't have to like me but why hate me? What exactly have I done to you?
Have I moved you from your comfort zone? YOU don't agree with ME...do I tell YOU you're going to hell, or any such words? No.

In fact I've stated MANY TIMES that our DOCTRINE does not save us...Jesus does.
Now @dcontroversal does believe doctrine saves us and he has put me with the plentious, in those words.

If doctrine is what saves us then we're all in trouble because if we all think "I am right" then NO ONE is right and all has been misunderstood.

God help us to come to know how much we're loved and that we are to feel secure in HIS ARMS and are to be PROUD to be Christian and to WANT to follow EVERY COMMAND of His the best we can, and when we cannot, that we have an advocate with the Father.
I agree . we should want to follow every N.T. command that Christ followers are told to keep.
but, because we are saved. not to maintain salvation.

it's very simple. people that do not care about Christ do not care what he said for us to do.

people that do believe in Christ for salvation want to do what he says.

because one believes in Christ for salvation and then strive to do what He ( and for that matter Paul, Peter, James , John, Jude) said.

so, I am not against you speaking about obedience . I am pro-obedience of the right things for the right reasons.

an, I will go ahead and apologize to you about being rough with you.

maybe you should try not to preach that salvation has to be earned and maintained ( total lie ), and you would not get harsh pushback.

Nobody but PJ ever said amen after his own sayings.
Are you saying no one says Amen anymore?
Over all your time in every forum, only one individual has written Amen.

Where is the Holy Spirit among His people, or is this a lack of spirituality among
those who are on the internet?

Yes!
We should stick together and be in accord...
even if we disagree on a doctrine.

This is why I say Protestantism is in trouble..
we're too divided...too many different churches because one little, tiny, teaching is different...so a charismatic person will leave the main church...go make his own...and take followers with him.

This is not what Jesus meant to happen. He said. My church, not My churches.
(with a small c).

This is very upsetting to me...I don't mind saying.
I left a church that was very united because I didn't agree with the doctrine...
And within the last 40 to 50 years some doctrine has crept into protestantism that DID NOT EXIST BEFORE.

What are we to do?
Just accept it? Sit back and accept man-made doctrine and no the Lord's?
Or should we do as the early church did and insist on not accepting heresies.
Yes,,,heresies. After all what does heresy mean?

Any teaching that is not in accord with mainline beliefs.
Are heresies going to become mainline because they sound good to man?

I pray not.

In Genesis 2:15 God takes the man and put him in the Garden to cultivate it and keep it.
This might be called work by some. I call it God's plan for man...Ephesians 2:10

In Genesis 2:16-17 God gave Adam a commandment: From this tree you will not eat.

WILL NOT does not mean that God will not cause the man to do some action or other...
It means that God does NOT WANT man to do that action.

So God demands obedience from the beginning of our time...
Adam failed, as do we all. And for this he and Eve were kicked out of the Garden.

God demands obedience all the way through Revelation.
And yet I hearsay that it is no longer necessary...

God does it all.
No. God did HIS part...now we do ours.

Or Christanity has been changed forever.
And God does not change.....
I used to think the same way. Why can't we all be in unity. But, two can't walk in unity if they disagree. So people gather with likeminded.

My wife and many others have suggested unfortunately these forums take up too much time
with too little benefit. Maybe the focus we have is in the wrong place, and we waste too
much of our lives on things that are not significant.

I know 30 minutes can just go answering just one point, to be read by 2 people. Is that a good
thing or a foolish thing?

That's the whole point gb9.
Why should I get any push-back?
If I post scripture that supports my position...why is it not accepted?
It's not ME doing the speaking...it's the N.T. doing the speaking.
I'm not mad at persons that don't agree with me...I just answer them and post verses.
One does become defensive when feeling attacked...which I have many times.
Of course you're forgiven for making feel badly at times...if I couldn't take it I wouldn't be here...
on the other hand it's not very appreciated, to say the least.

Now, I'll repeat again for those who refuse to read a whole post I wrote on this...
Our salvation is free, no cost.
Keeping our salvation is costly...or maintaining it as you've stated.

Now...if we agree that good deeds are necessary after salvation in order to follow Jesus BECAUSE we're saved....where exactly is the discord? Those that are not saved DON'T CARE about following Jesus.

So we're talking here about saved persons.
Should we go around being mean to people?
Would that be a sign of salvaation? No.
Should we not care if our neighbor is dying of hunger?
Would that be a sign of salvation? No.
So what's the problem is saying we must love ourselves and our neighbor?
Love brings action.
Jesus clearly says this in Mathew 25,,,and also James in James 2.

I believe that if we want to call ourselves Christian...we are to act like Christians...
Otherwise it means we're Christian in name only and this will not get us to be with God.

Good afternoon Grace101,

I feel very blessed today. I repaired our washing machine, the motor had died, and I found a way to test its
circuits, bought a new one, put it in, and it worked. Wife very pleased, but did not believe it would work.

Also, saw how Jesus calls us to have patience with one another, just as He had patience with the disciples.
And they wanted some wacky things. What a good day to praise His name, Amen.
Happy Wife = Happy Life as we say over here.

I'm not blessed in the practical stuff like you have done today.
I gave up trying when it started to cost me more to put my futile attempt right.

And also....

How is the last statement adding to your post?
The other poster is just saying what he believes to be true.
Have we become so narrow minded that we can't even HEAR what the other person is saying??

Very sad to hear this.
It must mean I'm not your sister in Christ.

Sad indeed.
And which LIE would you say I posted?

Could you list it please and post some supporting scripture to support your belief, that is exactly the same as your brethren....

And so other Christians that do not agree with you are not your brethren?
Sad indeed.

This is what false doctrine brings to.
You preach works maintain salvation. I have no idea whether you are a sister or not. But, how I see life in the body is that we all are members of Him. Only He Jesus is the head. If we all thought His thoughts?

How I see the body is Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. Each feast represents a place in Him where we reside.

My friend in Christ, I am putting a question and an observation.
I am not saying you actually said this, I am asking is this another implication
of your observation.

If you think of me as being friendly, helpful and encouraging, you will get my meaning.
If you think of me as trying to do something else, you miss who I am and how I work.

I sincerely only mean a blessing and encouragement. And I notice not enough praise and
thanks rises from His people here, when this is our life blood in the vine.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Phil 4:4-6

Sometimes I feel like I am not with believers, but sad defeated individuals hoping for some
agreement against the wild unfair world out there.

I've not read any post of yours doing that. But, then I haven't really read all your posts either.

So let me understand since I don't know you.
Think of what you believe (which I don't know)...
So....

those that believe in tongues are not your brethren...
those that believe in transubstantiation are not your brethren.....
those that believe in works salvation (not what I believe) are not your brethren....
those that believe in open theism........."
those that believe in confession........"
those that believe in W of F.............."
those that believe in annihilation........."
etc
etc
etc

Wow Stone. You don't have many brethren, do you?
AND how do you know YOU'RE the right one??

Ive done it.
Who cares who the person is.
Pay attention to what he's saying instead.
What has he said that is wrong?
If he didn't understand, correct him, instead of going back and forth...
I remember Peter Jens....I miss him.
I miss all MY BRETHREN,,,even you.
That's why I come back every now and then.

You should expand your horizon. Jesus would be happy.

How?
What did you mean?
You said I might not be a sister in Christ because I "believe in works salvation".
So? That doesn't make me a Chrisitian?

You could explain you know.

Faith is actually a substance in the supernatural realm where heaven is. Father sees it and responds.

Religion is not what I have. Life in Holy Spirit.
