Ya know, I was just thinking......

What if it is the same tree - meaning there is only one tree even though there is a tree on each side of the River because they share the same root system that pulls life from the River ............

Two trees would be completely separate with their own root system....... Well, I hope to find out one day!!

The scriptures don't really give us any info on the root system, although the tree would definitely get its water source from the River.

Great question KnowMe! It made me ponder a bit!(y)

Could be, here’s another thought what’s the purpose of the fruit of a tree?

Rev 22:2
down the middle of the main street of the city. On either side of the river stood a tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit and yielding a fresh crop for each month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

how many are there

Ezekiel 47:12
Along both banks of the river, fruit trees of all kinds will grow. Their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. Each month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will be used for food and their leaves for healing.

How many?

How many other trees?

Eze. 47:1, 2, 7 "And he led me again to the door of the house. And behold, water came out from under the threshold of the house eastward. For the front of the house is east, and the water came down from under the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. And he led me out by the way of the north gate, and led me around the way outside to the outer gate, by the way facing the east. And behold, water was trickling out of the right side. When I returned, then behold, on the edge of the torrent were very many trees, from here and from there."

My answer "Very many trees."

Interesting question..........

Usually fruit contains seeds inside to produce more trees...............seeds are containers of life...............fruit is edible.........hmmmm.........lots to think about. :)(y)

The scripture says the leafs are for the healing of the nations................that's interesting, too. :)(y)

Eze. 47:12 "And all trees for food shall go up by the torrent, on its bank on this side, and on that side. Its leaf shall not fade, nor its fruit fail. It will bear by its months, because its waters come out from the sanctuary. And its fruit shall be for food, and its leaf for healing."

Duh! For food. Then we make medicine from the leaves. happy-dancing.gif

Three. One in Genesis, and two in Revelation.
Proverbs 3
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Well, I guess that makes "4" trees - KnowMe found another one in Proverbs........lol! :giggle:

Ahem, this one is symbolic!

Deade said the one in Proverbs is symbolic............so does that mean it doesn't count?

LOL! I'm just kidding.......:giggle:
