I get that impression about Goodnewsman. He reminds a lot of that guy Ralph (the one with the picture of the kid from "A Christmas Story" as his profile pic.)

Is Ralph still around?
Ralph left

Like I said they cannot stay away, people with a loosing arguments have a hard time disengaging.;)

I get the impression Budman expects to fail and has just accepted failure because his
view is victory is impossible and a delusion of the enemy.

To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations--
'He will rule them with an iron scepter; he will dash them to pieces like pottery'--
just as I have received authority from my Father. I will also give him the morning star.
Rev 2:26-28
That may be the case and may not be.

But the truth is that if a believer is stuck in a sin habit they are stuck in it.
They call out to God "Please release me, I need help, why do I do this, I don't want to do this"

So yes belivers do actually expect to fail, and let's be honest if it's a pattern then we expect the pattern to continue and victory seems impossible for some.

But we know in our hearts that it is not impossible.

Jesus calls the sinners, the dirty, the abused, the alcoholics, the drud addicts, the worthless, the needy, the depressed people the outcasts and so on.

The list could go on.

But you know what? "WE SHOULD WELCOME THEM IN OUR CHURCH"

They are prisoners to the world, to their thoughts, to their life experiences which has battered them.

Such people accept they will fail, even if they do not want to.

So we disiple them. Look for the cause of the effect.

There is no point in telling them that you are saved by grace unto good works.
But revealing to them that God will work good in all things that has happened to them.

Just like me who was sexually abused, it was not good but God worked good in it.
Now I walk with those who it has happened to.
Walk with them how they cope with it.
Deal with those issues.
Then when we have dealt with it and healing comes I can quote Ephesians and say
"Now walk in the good works God has called you to do"

After all how could we in this day walk with someone if we have not walked the walk?

Well that is clear but we see He entered Him at the passover to fulfill scripture. However, from what you just showed us in scripture it was because He was already the son of perdition and that is why satan entered Him.

Why do you think, though, DCon He regretted his choice so much, why he threw the coins back? I have always wondered that...

Ok, well there ya have it....
I chalk it up to the normal human remorse that many in society have when they do things they know was wrong....for example.....many that are convicted of crimes show remorse for what they have done.....with Judas it must be noted that he did not seek forgiveness with JESUS.....he went to the priests that paid him, chunked the money and then committed suicide.......I have no doubt he knew JESUS was a good man, and an innocent man.....HOWEVER he did not believe that JESUS was the messiah and died a lost man.........the SON of PERDITION is clear.....

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

apóleia: destruction, loss
Original Word: ἀπώλεια, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: apóleia
Phonetic Spelling: (ap-o'-li-a)
Definition: destruction, loss
Usage: destruction, ruin, loss, perishing; eternal ruin.

An interesting truth...same PHRASE is applied unto the one that will be the so called Anti-Christ....

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

AND to really throw a wrench in....the BEAST<-->when John writes Revelation he writes of the yet future beast and says.....

that was <----past tense
is not<---present tense
shall ascend out of the pit<---future tense

Most of us will probably die as fools but we will be raised up in glory to be with the Lord. Perhaps we all are Christian liars to some degree. In the bible there is a mention about calling people fools. In the context presented it was not a good thing to do as it may bring ruin upon yourself. Yes, like yourself, I have been guilty of this as well. I am not lying about this either.
Does it not say that all men are liars........sure it does...........and there is not a just man upon the earth that does good and sins not........

AMEN Bill........and the truth....SIN has been dealt with and is not the problem..........it is all about the faith....My bible is clear....where sin abounds, grace abounds the more......and GOD's mercy endures for how long <---FOREVER.........after one has been saved God deals with them as SONS and DAUGHTERS...he may whip our butts off with the switch of chastisement, but does not cast us away or yank the IRREVOCABLE gift of faith and life....

Who knows god but those born of him?

Can one be born of God and not know him?
For God so loved the world........

and yet Christ ripped the Pharisees.......

White washed coffins filled with the bones of dead men
Blind leaders of the blind
Fools
Hypocrites
etc.

and John did the same......

Generation of snakes and vipers

You do realize even Paul admitted that he was still a habitual sinner after his conversion, doncha?
AWWWW...come on bro.....When Paul said in the present tense that he was the number one chief sinner among men...he did not really mean it...........

Serious question.

How do you know if you don't?

I myself when I confess my sin before God always ask "Reveal to me any sin that I have committed that I'm not aware off"

A real eye opener when you do that, the Holy Spirit looks at your whole day and reveals stuff.

A simple example being my daughter wants to talk about something but I say no because I'm typing on this site.

Don't do it anymore.
She is more important than this site.
I agree with everything you said....I do the same thing.....I don't make excuses for my sin either.... when the Holy ghost concvicts me I confess my sin and he is faithful and just to forgive us!!!

Amen!!! big time to your little girl and spending time with her....it's so easy take the ones we love for granted..

October 4 2018 my teenage daughter and 9 yr old son was in a head on collision on there way to school, I was working out of town over 2 hrs away when cop called my cellphone. One of the worst days of my life. I got lost 3 times trying to get to the hospital.....long story both was hurt very bad....cop told me when he pulled up he wasn't expecting anyone to be alive but when both came to they held hands and prayed.......just a few weeks ago they both got off thier walkers and walked for the first time........praise God

Spend time with them, tell them you love them every chance you get.....wow didn't mean to say all that.....what was we talking about. LOL

My point to all this and I feel like it is being lost. (Probably my fault).

We do not have to sin..... We choose to sin
I know that

But my point is, if we really understand what sin is, we cant say we do not commit sin every day, its i possible. You would have to be others focused ever second, and not a one of us do it

does the bible not say walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh
And your gonna say you are able to do that 24/7?

Again, if you think ths, you have a false understanding of what that means.

We do fight with this flesh....... But you do not have to lose every battle
If you saw yourself in gods eyes, you would see there are so numerous battles every day, it would amaze you

Part of becoming spiritually mature is realizing just how deep your sin goes. Because a child does not really know.
