Is satan the root cause of all the problems that we face and just about everything that is going wrong in the world?
If so, can someone who is accused of a crime, can he say the devil made me do it as his defence?
What exactly can we blame satan for, and what are the things that we should take responsibility for?
For example, if kids are rude, is it satan or are the parents at fault? And what if the parents are doing their best but the kids are still out of control, is satan the real culprit?
Can Satan be blamed for a person cheating on their spouse? If the cheating spouse said: I don't know how it happened, things just got out of control. Is their weak flesh the fault or satan or should the person they cheated with take the blame for getting involved with a married person?
A aeroplane or a car developing engine problems. Is it really engine trouble or did Satan interfere with the engine?
What about those days when we are unorganized. Running late for an appointment, can't find a much needed item, forgetting to purchase something at the supermarket, not spending time with God...is satan just getting in the way?
I've heard Christians say that we can either rebuke or take authority over satan for all his interfering in our lives. But this isn't something that I personally do. I just cast all my burdens or the troubles in the world on Jesus. And whether the problem be myself, someone else or Satan, I just ask God for His intervention.
