To bear fruit may take years i agree, it does not mean god can not use someone, god uses unsaved people all the time (see pharoah) and he can use a persons changed life to draw people to himself,
And yes, i will call you a liar again, you twisting what dc said and make him say something he never claimed is bearing false witness, and i will call you out ober and over every time you do that,

@Godsgrace...Agreeing or disagreeing on these threads isn't about acceptance or popularity, it isn't for me anyway. We should be trying to find unity through Christ, and that is ONLY possible in Him and and our Union with Him.. We should all be teachable but by the holy spirit first and foremost. I think some of what you say has creedence, (like 85054, I believe about Him putting the law in our hearts)especially because up till very recently, I had a similar mindset. I get it. I have been swimming in a big pile of striving, fear, guilt and shame, basically all wrapped up in myself, knowing full well how impossible it is to fix my broken self is. I reckon, where selflessness is concerned, I will need to keep coming back to the truth of His Glory and Righteousness as I grow and mature. I have been going back and forth on this topic since I came here. I just think the only difference in this debate, and I may be opening a can of worms, is that our salvation is a product of His work, NOT ours, PERIOD. We take on so much credit, effort, and striving when all of it, every bit of it, is about Him. I would lying if I said, ok i am now squared away because I have it all figured out. Hahaha nope, But my hope, here on out, is that I will trust and lean into the only One who is all squared away, the One who will present me blameless. Regardless who believes or agrees, He saves us... He keeps us, not us. HE GETS 100% of the Glory. Yes we honor Him because His nature dwells within, not because of our doing.

I CAN once and for all climb off the cross. Yes we pick up His sacrifice and lay ourselves down, daily, but it, our salvation, is never ours, it is ALWAYS about Him and His finished work on the cross, His works lives in the lives of His.
Ok i really am going for a bit, lest I get myself topsy turvy again in the striving and leaning on my own understanding. LORD thank You for YOUR equipping and transforming saving Grace. May we all step into the rest of You. May we our hearts be fixed on Him, remembering what it is You are saving us from, ourselves!!!

Some people do not understand what blessing by association means, many people who have never seen god have been blessed by the people who have the holy spirit workimg in their lives, many people go to church, and wven though they have never received christ, partake of the Holy Spirit every time they are in the presence of the believers in the church.
People want to attack, and say others do not understand, well the same goes both ways, take the log out of your eye before you attempt to even try to remove a speck from someone elses eye.
Again, the bible is one message it can not contradict. If it does, you need to resolve th contradiction, not let it continue because it fits your belief system

I think we had better leave it there. You have not responded to my post where I explained how a believer could have no righteousness of not committing sin but at the same time lose salvation due to sin without contradiction. The answers are in there. At least I do not have to have a doctrine that only leaves me with half a bible as it were

And JESUS is our righteousness. Not following Him, not some path. HE IS THE PATH!!
If you are born again, He IS in you, and you are in Him. He's part of our DNA now.

I don't mean this unkindly, but you typify the problem here. You got a question answered that none of you osas people could answer, and an answer that stops scripture being in contradiction of itself, and you are not interested. The only thing that matters is keeping the beliefs you had before you came on the site no matter what, doesn't even matter if you have to ignore huge chunks of scripture to do it. Lets be honest, people just enjoy coming here to debate/argue, its what stimulates them greatly, so that is why they do it. And then some(I do not mean you here) just come to try and show off what they think they know. Which all goes to show these sites cannot by and large be taken too seriously can they. In truth, for many they are damaging to their spiritual wellbeing. And to be truly honest, the average pew sitter, who has not read the bible as much as the average internet debater understands far more of what really matters in the faith

Do you know the difference between a indicative statement and a subjunctive statement. DC made an indicative statement, bearing fruit takes many years, not a subjunctive, it may take many years.
