Kristoff St.John, a famous soap actor, died yesterday from an alcohol overdose. He was 52. He played Neil Winters on Young and the Restless since 1991. His 24 year old son committed suicide in 2014. He never got over his son's suicide. St. John got engaged to a Russian supermodel in September of 2018. They were making wedding plans.

There are a lot of threads about getting married in the singles forum. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a single person desiring marriage. It's natural. However, regardless of one's marital status, we all need to know Jesus. Jesus makes life worth living! Contrary to what so many people believe, a romantic relationship will not solve all of your problems.

Unfortunately, Kristoff St. John was depressed before and during his engagement. This is a sad story. I wish he could have found peace on earth. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. We will never know peace outside of Jesus.

This guy was a child actor. He's been on television for many years. I've watched him on many different things over the years. It also just goes to show that money, fame and romanance is not the source of happiness and peace.

We always need Jesus!

I learned in my single days that whatever unresolved issues I have as a single person I will take with me into marriage. My husband isn’t my Savior. God does use him to minister to me and vice versa, but we don’t complete each other. Only the Lord can do that for us.

It's interesting that some are "guessing" at the cause of death since as of this morning (12 hours after the OP) the cause of death has yet to have been released.

I would never guess at the cause of death. First, that would be akin to slander, and I make it a point not to slander others. Second, I was a fan.

The initial news reports stated that he died from alcohol poisoning. His cause of death was later changed to "deferred." I believe this may have had something to due with his star status. St. John himself even admitted to struggling with alcoholism. He was arrested for DUI.

Here's a quote from People.com.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a death investigation took place at around 2:05 p.m. for a possible alcohol overdose at the 2300 block of Morea Way.

At any rate, no matter how the coroner finally labels his death, it's a heartbreaking end of his journey here on Earth.
