Fairly sadistic god you are serving there. Why did He create so many people just to burn?

View attachment 192909

Well, the bible says God desires none to perish, but for all to come to repentance. Yet He won't force salvation on anyone. And He won't sacrifice His holiness and justice. All who end up in hell, choose to go there. Either directly, or indirectly.

One can refuse a pardon.

Depends on your understanding of Hell and death. No Hell changes the type of God we worship, and the "state of death" does as well.
The Bible arguments have been given but people will only see things the way they want to.

i've quoted bible verse after bible verse for multiple subjects and people seem to ignore the ones they can't get around and twist the ones they can. Frustrating.

I don't see eye to eye with a lot of their prophecy. I am most closely aligned with some Independent Church of God Seventh-Day. We are also from the Adventist movement but broke away from SDA.

Here is a link that states pretty close to my belief:

No sadism at all.
If you thoroughly read my post, you would see that my perspective of hell and those who go there is of their own choosing.
People burn in their own self made hell today.
These self made chosen hells of today, however, will be far worse when the Lord comes like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3), and removes Himself from all those who will have rejected love of the truth, preferring pleasure in unrighteousness (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). In other words, people prefer to do whatever (unrighteousness) in order to get what they want.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Well only read the first couple of posts.
I'm not really a numbers or maths minded person. Statistics are open to interpetation. Plus it seemed the OP only counted the United States. Those of of us who dont live there, well some of us are thankful we dont. They seem to give their people a hard time!

All I know is, the population of the Heavenly Kingdom is as a many as sands on the sea shore and stars in the sky. I'm not going to count them all as will be from here to eternity. Also, pehaps it might be better to talk in terms of percentages, if a third of the angels rebelled and subsequently condemened then 2/3rds did not, and 2/3 is greater than 1/3.

I recently watched a documentary on YouTube about Warren Buffet; the
chairman and CEO of a very successful fund called Berkshire Hathaway. To
date, he's like the third wealthiest man in the whole world; his net worth
amounts to something like 84 billion dollars US.

Mr. Buffet identifies himself as an agnostic. Well; if traditional Christianity is
correct, then we can expect that his afterlife situation will be the same as
the wealthy man's depicted in Luke 16:19-31.

Pop Clock Update: 1,517 days have elapsed since beginning the thread. If
the figures in post #1 are within reason, then something like 88,867,377
new arrivals have checked into the fiery sector of hades since December 10,
2014.

I don't believe that anyone has checked into the fiery sector of Hades as the judgement has not yet taken place yet so the population clock is still at zero.

Num 16:28-35 . .Then Moses said, "This is how you will know that The
Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: If these
men die a natural death and experience only what usually happens to men,
then The Lord has not sent me. But if The Lord brings about something
totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with
everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the grave,
then you will know that these men have treated The Lord with contempt.

. . . As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart
and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, with their households
and all Korah's men and all their possessions. They went down alive into the
grave, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they
perished and were gone from the community. At their screams, all the
Israelites around them fled, shouting, "The earth is going to swallow us too!"

That is one of the most frightening scenes ever depicted in the Old
Testament.

NOTE: The entire global sky contains roughly six thousand stars visible to
the naked eye. There's more than that out there of course, but not all are
discernable as points of light without optics. However, we can't see all six
thousand stars at once; only the ones that come out at night. So then; the
most we can see in one night is, at most, somewhere around three thousand
stars.

If we divide the latest update by 3,000 we get something like thirty-one
thousand, six-hundred and thirty-three night skies of people who've passed
on to the fiery nether regions since I began keeping track. That many night
skies adds up to around eighty-six and a half years.

This in inconclusive and says nothing about these men going to a fiery place of torment.

Their households implies children, if any. That kind of collateral damage is
hard to accept, but nevertheless there it is; and that's not the only place in
the Old Testament. No doubt children died in the Flood too, and the
conflagration of Sodom and Gomorrah. Plus 120,000 children would've
perished in Nineveh had not the adults responded to Jonah's preaching.

The Bible warns that people should not make the mistake of dwelling only
upon God's good side while neglecting to take into consideration His severe
side too. (Rom 11:22)

Webster's defines "many" as consisting of, or amounting to, a large but
indefinite number; while "few" is defined as consisting of, or amounting to,
only a small number; viz: relative to many then, few is the lesser. Bear with
me while I flesh this out.
The bible define as a many, as the amount the father gave to the Son . Not one more or less. He has them written as a law.

According to Jesus Christ's testimony as an expert witness in all matters
pertaining to the afterlife; most of the world's responsible souls haven't been
making it to safety when they cross over to the other side.

†. Luke 13:22-24 . . And he went through the cities and villages, teaching,
and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, master, are there
few that be saved? And he said unto them: Strive to enter in at the strait
gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

†. Matt 7:13-14 . . Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and
broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But
small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find
it.

†. Matt 22:14 . . For many are called, but few are chosen.

Webster's defines "many" as consisting of, or amounting to, a large but
indefinite number; while "few" is defined as consisting of, or amounting to,
only a small number; viz: relative to many then, few is the lesser. Bear with
me while I flesh this out.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the resident population of the United
States, projected to 12/10/14 at 03:35 pm New York time, was
approximately 319,408,600 with a death rate of approximately one every 12
seconds; which translates to an average of 7,200 American deaths of all
ages, races, and genders during just one 24-hour calendar day.

According to 2009 US Census data; roughly 27.3% of America's daily deaths
are under the age of 19, which would indicate that approximately 5,089 of
the current daily death rate of 7,200 per 24 hours are adults. Giving the
"many" the benefit of the doubt by limiting their maximum percentage to
51%, would indicate a minimum of 2,595 American adults transferring to
perdition every day: which translates to roughly 108 per hour.

That's a very conservative estimate as the Lord didn't really specify exact
percentages to represent the quantities of "few" and "many". But just think:
by the time CBS completes its half-hour evening news report, a bare-bones
minimum of 54 Americans become new arrivals in the fiery sector of the
netherworld.

Using the ratio of 2,595 condemned souls per 319,408,600 population:
computing the number of condemned souls worldwide from a currently
estimated global population of 7,210,485,300 people, would suggest
something like 58,581 new arrivals in the fiery sector of the netherworld
every 24 hours; which translates to 2,441 souls every sixty minutes on the
clock.

That rate would fill the 51,800 seats of the new Yankee Stadium to capacity
in roughly 21 hours and 13 minutes. In other words: if the world's daily
number of condemned souls started filing into the stadium at 06:00 am this
morning, then by 03:13 am tomorrow, the stadium would be full to capacity.

Christmas and New Year's are even worse. A study done of 26 years of
death certificates shows that coronary fatalities are, on average, 11.9%
higher on those days than any other days of the year; with non-heart deaths
spiking to 12.2% higher; and believe me folks, hell never closes; no, not at
all: it's open for business 24/7/365 nonstop and indifferent to global
warming, Wall Street crashes, massive layoffs, high school shootings,
terrorism, tsunamis, earthquakes, nuclear meltdowns, air, water, and soil
pollution, freeway pile-ups, brown-outs, threatened species, gasoline prices,
student debt, GMO, trade deficits, Federal debt, factory recalls,
overpopulation, desertification, genocides, revolutions, civil wars, acid rain,
road rage, conscious decoupling, ISIS, gay marriage, the crisis in Ukraine,
Obamacare, blood diamonds, fracking, twerking, Oprah's millions, and
Letterman's retirement.

If the Lord is a credible witness; then it's apparent that souls never stop
cascading into the pits of hell in an endless procession like the unbelievable
millions of poultry broilers passing annually through Tyson chicken
processing plants on their way to Wendy's, McDonalds, Carl's Junior, Jack in
the Box, Burger King, In-n-Out Burger, KFC, A&W, Arby's, Dairy Queen,
Taco Bell, et al; and to supermarkets and restaurants all over the USA and
wherever else Tyson vends its meats. The slaughtering, the butchering, the
packaging, and the shipping never stop.

========================================
Another way to look at is we are born into the pits of hell a living suffering called the belly of hell in Jonah 2. As soon as we are born without God and hope in this corrupted world we go forward telling lies, the nature of liars. The same living hell as a living sacrifice in view of the mercy of God that we do offer our bodies as living sacrifices . Christ worked through the suffering of hell with the same father he strengthened both to finish the work, that mutually delivered them both.

Hi thanks

What would me offering my opinion have to do with some sort of arterial motive as mis-information or something? Does my interpretation say I do not love Christ or that I have a different opinion than yours?

Personally I do not think God is merciless .The standard he keeps for others he must abide in himself. He sets the standard of suffering a living hell in the Genesis with Cain . Cain who refused to believe in a God not seen (no faith) thought he could talk his way out saying the living hell was more than he could bear. Christ who say vengeance is mine placed a mark on Cain (666) identifying him as natural unconverted man and said by the mark of his word he in the name of eternal God will carry out his will to the end. No sabbath rest for those who know not Christ. It was hands off to the world. Cain's fear , Christ said; let him finish that which he could not bear, the suffering of the flesh a body of death, a living hell.

this mis-information

You really ought to exercise more caution with your choice of words lest the
hapless day arrive when you are forced to eat them.

know that we who Love our Saviour and serve Him, also love you and pray
for you

Don't be saying things like that unless you really mean it.

"I say to you, that every careless word that men shall speak, they shall
render account for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you shall
be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned." (Matt 12:36-37)

Fairly sadistic god you are serving there. Why did He create so many people just to burn?

In my honest opinion; it's out of character for a potentate known for
compassion, kindness, mercy, forgiveness, and sensitivity to terminate, with
extreme prejudice, the people He created via a mode of death akin to a
foundry worker falling into a kettle of molten iron and then leaving them
there to simmer in sulfur fumes; despairing, thirsty, and in agony for all
eternity. It's like there's two totally different Gods in the Bible: one is as
sweet and kind as Sleeping Beauty and the other is as mean and heartless
as a boot full of barbed wire.

Christians leery about appearing blasphemous stretch their imaginations
making excuses for the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde personality exemplified by
the Bible's God. But were they to reveal their innermost secret thoughts, I
think you'd find that many of them agree with me that the Bible's God
appears to the logical mind as somewhat bi-polar, unreasonable, cruel, and
sadistic.

So, if that's how I feel, then why am I a Christian? Well; my mind tells me
that it's all just a clever fantasy. But I cannot shake the conviction that what
I read in the Bible about the hereafter is true; though I cannot prove, nor do
I believe it possible to prove, that the Bible's supernatural components are
reality.

Faith is believin' what you know ain't so.

(Mark Twain)
